Find your opponent(s) at any time and follow these instructions:

Post in the thread when your match or series of matches is going to begin. This is to clarify for both our spectators and entrants who is playing when. Don't be shy about posting a lot or double posting. In fact, please give this thread a play by play.

Play best of 3. Keep your team the same for the whole tournament. I will be enforcing the Honor System. You may arrange their order at any time.

Pools are listed below.

After pools, we will determine the placings. First place from each pool will move on to the Grand Finals. Would you like to have finals for 3rd and 4th place?



Recap of Rules:

"Scouting", or intentionally looking at someone's team to help benefit your upcoming match is heavily discouraged. Though this is something that cannot be helped, the tournament staff is letting participants know as that they can at least watch a match.

You are not allowed to use pokémon classified as "Uber".

Evasion Clause: Moves that specifically raise evasion (e.g. Double Team) fail.
Extended Clause: Allows the use of Micle, Custap, Jaboca, and Rowap berries.

OHKO Clause: Moves that kill in one hit (e.g. Horn Drill) fail.
random- off
Sleep Clause: Only one pokemon on each team may be afflicted with enemy-induced sleep at a given time. Subsequent enemy attempts to inflict sleep fail.
Soul Dew Clause: Soul Dew is banned on all Pokemon.
Species Clause: No two Pokemon on a team may have the same species.
Strict Damage Clause: Shoddy Battle will never show more damage being done than the target has remaining health.

Competitive pokemon is easy. Just go here http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60906 and use the top 6 pokemon in the second post. Then look them up in the search bar and use the top movesets for each one. You can't possibly lose.

Shoddy lets you pick and make movesets. It lets you do just about everything you can do in the real game in terms of making teams but it's much faster. If anyone needs help learning I can help since I was a mod of the official server back before smogon took over.

But like Pink Reaper said just choose the most popular pokemon and make sure they cover each other weaknesses as a team if you're clueless.

Stabbed, if you want to make any team better, just add Breloom.

unless your whole team is weak to stealth rock or something stupid like that...

add marowak for man points.
