JJs got it right. I generally lose to Luigi Player with most of my characters. I probably just play the match-up wrong and / or he's a better player than me. I can't accurately judge this match-up.

Pit eh?
I reguarly brawl and play a person named Pitzer, dont know if any of you have heard of him, and i have ALOT of experience in this match up.
Most Pit's will do nothing from far range but spam arrows, which can be predicted by camping the reflector at a long range. They may try to shield them back with their downB but reflector holds long enough to stop it.
In the air try to surprise the enemy with Bair's and hit them as they attempt to recover (If they do it high).
If you are caught in a side B DI out wait for it to either run out or jump over and bair while they are still lagging from the move.
His smashes are fast but are usually canceled out by Wolf's F-smash.
In this match, the Dair is a Godsend, hit them as they recover and you could earn an early gimp that could win you the match.
This guy lives in UK or somewhere around there. He aint no where near SOVA

Edit: Pit vs Wolf is like 50-50 <.< Its too stage dependent. If you fight a Pit Cp yoshi's or castle seige. Where he can't fly under and crap. Its actually a pretty easy match-up as you take out 86% of Pits options (arrows, arrows, arrows,)
ALso Pit can cg wolf but it has to be frame perfect if not free down-b to f-smash or whatever wolf does to punish. Also bair stops all of pits Approaches, However Pit can gimp wolf much more easier than wolf can gimp pit. Watch out for the mirror sheild offstage. It'll turn around your Up-b BUT not your side-b.

I got a message saying stuff about matchup related things.

Roxy said:
It will need around three unbiased, relatively skilled snake players, and about two players from the opposing character.

It would start off with the three people (i guess you can consider them the panel). Discuss the pros and cons of our character, by now these should all be very well developed. We will also look at the pros and cons of the opposing character.

When all of this is finished, the discussion will go public, where all the pros and cons are listed, how they affect the matchup, stages, etc. Public people will share their opinion and a general summary of the matchup can be made from here.

The panel will then decide on a match-up rank (ex. 60:40).

Here's where the two players from an opposing character come in. They will re-read the summary, explain some pros about their character that we might have left out, so on and so forth. They will also make a summary of how the opposing character should and most likely will be playing this match-up. Then with those five people we will reach a general agreement on a match-up ranking, this match-up and summary can go on both boards.

I sent this to you because you are running the match-up board, I'm trying to see if we can implement this in boards to make match-up threads get generally finished.

I am not a part of your backroom, however I'm going through all of the character discussion boards to get something set up that will expand the brawl metagame. If you could discuss this amongst your backroom and see if this plan could be implemented i would take great compliment by it.

Are we going to elect a panel? That should be the first order of business if we're going with Roxy's idea.

:059:
JJ would have to be on it since he's the only one who uses Jumpshine, and that revolutionizes match ups.

So is it easier to play with Wolf with tap jump on? Cause like seeing how I main pit I have to have tap jump off.

I mean I can play with tap jump on, but i have to like claw to short hop fair with no landing lag.

Added DK stuff. So uh what are we gonna do for peach?
I can give my opinion on that match up cause i r an ok wolf user, and I'm bored so I figured why not. :3

This should probably go in the Q&A thread, but that's pretty much a matter of preference with any character really. I don't use tap jump, but wolf doesn't really do anything too technical in the air to have to need it on really; but like I said, play with what suits you.

Yeah guys, let's actually try to keep this thread somewhat on-topic :) If you have any Wolf-related questions, take it to the Q&A.

I think that matchup experience should play a real factor in who's part of each "panel". We might need to switch some people in and out if one of them is a lot more familiar with a certain matchup. But yeah, JJ should be in here lol

Also, I think a good estimate to start the wolf vs peach match up at is about 10-90 because of this..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF-pxIUO3gE#t=21s
Description: "Credit goes to Excel_Zero for first bringing this to the Peach board's attention"

Yet Gull beat him at Pound4. If there is ever a time Peach could do that to Wolf, he messed up royally, without even mentioning DI. I suspect that Peach is too slow in the air to compete with Wolf. I'm not sure how a Peach would be able to bypass Wolf's camping, so I'll let them overestimate Peach in that aspect. They call it 55-45 Wolf's favor.

Peach gets ***** by Wolf side b cause she floats at angles to get sweet spotted. Side b her a bunch.

People that know me well enough know I play a Peach a lot. Here's one if you're interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2VtGxAmIG8

Anyway, your lazer is better, use it. Peach has more length on her fair, but it's slower. Take advantage of that. Peach has a psuedo-chaingrab on Wolf til around 30%? Somewhere around there. Just keep SDIing away until it works. If you screw up and the Peach is good, you'll get => 50 damage. Peach seems very vulnerable to the flash. Know when to use it. I found that at a certain percent, as shown in the video, you can get a flash off after a standard attack. Peach can be spiked, which is always fun. This is me talking though, so... Fair is faster than her fair, again, so do that a lot. Some people don't often expect a turned blaster, so always use that when you think it'll work.

That's all I got. Still rusty.

Wow, I haven't seen this since June 08 when I was bad and thought Floated Dair was an approach.

Why would a Peach be floating at SH height from a distance like that?

And she can just nair the side-B on reaction.

I don't know why, but I hit Peach's with it. You can powershield bair on reaction to, but do you do it on command? Nah.

...When i said wolf vs peach was 10-90 peach this opens my eyes on the match up. I think if every wolf implemented this strategy against peach than it'd be an easy 90-10 match up for wolf.

But yeah..I'll actually give a legit analysis of the match up whenever you guys decide to start the discussion for realz.

Idk man, peach probably shouldn't just be floating towards you like that anyway. I mean then wolf can just jump and shoot her with him gun.

Anyways for this matchup, if she tries to float as an approach then just jump to an appropriate height and fire the blaster.

Did you know that JJ isn't the most jumpshiny wolf?
His roommate actually jumpshines more than he does.

Save your second jump against Peach, she can gimp wolf like CRAZY if wolf is under her.

After you hit 100%, be weary of Peach's hyphen U-Smash, it'll sweetspot and kill you I think.
Continuing on that, you shouldn't be dying very early to Peach. Peach's F-Smash can be difficult to di sometimes, but it doesn't kill particularly early. Her d-smash is practically useless. Her fair'll probably be your number 1 concern.

Sh-lasers are god.
Pull out some bair domination.

Yeah, I lol'd too but PTZR is right, this is a matchup thread, let's get **** done

I think we should focus on making a panel for the next matchup (Peach, right?), who has good Peach experience? Idk if Kain or Choice have any, but Seagull and JJ definitely do.
