so, to dl the torrent, do i need a certain program?
because it's not letting me run/play it
Yes you need a torrenting program. I would highly recommend Azureus as a great free torrenter.

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php

Just remember that torrenting takes longer than downloading regularly, especially with how few seeds there are. But when dealing with files sizes like this, it's the only way to really download.

Well, regarding MGS music, I'm sad they didn't include the main theme, but we have mother****ing Calling to the Night and Snake Eater instrumental.

Also, if your computer is hooked up to a router, you're going to need to forward some ports or put your computer in your router's DMZ in order to get decent speeds. (If you don't know what that means, Google it.)

If you're connecting to a university network, you might be out of luck.

Alas, the Metal Gear main theme is pretty much dead. Some guys discovered that it was very similar to a song that was already written. The fans brought this to Hideo Kojima's attention (FOOLS), and Hideo was extremely surprised and confused. A little later, the theme was pulled from Portable Ops, as well as from the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary music collection.

http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_Main_Theme

So it won't be in Brawl or MGS4. Cradle that MGS2 soundtrack close to your heart.

I highly recommend against putting your computer in your router's DMZ (demilitarized zone). Especially considering the danger of unknown torrents. Port forwarding works, but it's honestly not necessary.

Okay, the G's are Star Fox songs, definitely. I was only able to identify a few for now...

G01: No idea... probably from the SNES game, which I haven't played.
G02: Star Fox SNES - Corneria
G03: Pissing me off, we've all heard it before, but where is it from originally? GAH!
G04: Star Fox 64 - Area 6
G05: Star Fox 64 - Star Wolf Theme
G08: Reminds me of a boss battle from 64 or Adventures... Andross, maybe?
G09: Star Fox Assault - Star Wolf Theme
G11: Could it be an SNES Corneria remix?!

Oh, I didn't know that... It's a shame really, it was really epic and patriotic. I'll miss it...

Oh man, Mother - Snowman remix is so amazing. And then I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw that Scrap Brain Zone is included. I sincerely hope there's at least one song from Sonic 2 in the game.

G01- Yep! More likely the SNES Starfox theme.
G03- Starfox 64 Theme Mix (Not the Press Start theme)
G08- Sounds like the Assault ver. of the Sector Z and Fortuna stage of 64.
G11- Sounds more like a Area 6 techno remix...

OMG. I want 'SUCCESS!' 'FAILURE...' and 'A NEW RECORD!' on my phone.
I'm sure I want the SFX more badly then any other on the forums.
Sadly, it's format is unknown (BRSAR).

I know exactly where D10 is from, if nobody else has already mentioned it

D10 = Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - Hunters

It's from the multiplayer mode. And yes, it does rock.

Just a suggestion for anybody who still plans on making a 320kbps MP3 download:

Set the Winamp playback plug-in (or whatever else you might be using) to loop ONCE and then fade-out instead of twice. It would save us quite a bit of time and hard disk space, and the vast majority of these songs are long enough to the point that an extra loop isn't really needed. (I find myself skipping ahead to the next song a lot otherwise.)

Also, minor nitpick:

U01 - Green Hill Zone 1 - Sonic The Hedgehog
U02 - Scrap Brain Zone - Sonic The Hedgehog
U03 - Emerald Hill Zone 1 - Sonic 2
U04 - Angel Island Zone 1 - Sonic 3

You should technically drop the "1"s from all of these tracknames. Only Angel Island Zone has different music for different levels, and the Brawl version includes both of them.

Unless you want to specify that Emerald Hill is the "1-Player" version.

Wow! Thanks for the track listing <3 I am so happy with this! All my favourites, even Pokéfloats and Fountain of Dreams, not to mention a helluva lot of fantastic remixes. Yes, I think I understand why people would want this game just for the music haha. I can't wait to hear these in-game, a lot of work has been put into them ^^.

Plus I am actually satisfied with the stages and roster, so things are swell my end!

Besides some of Brawl's Originals and Subspace Emissary BGMs.. I don't know following songnames:

N03 (Animal Crossing)
Q09 (Some Oldschool Game)
R05 (Some Wii-Sports Game?)

I'd appreciate if someone could help me out. :>

Hey, guys.
I just registered here to give you a hand with your work on the soundtrack.
Because when I skipped through this thread I read something like...
"It'll take ages to rename all the song files."
Well, it won't if you use a tool like AF5.

DOWLOAD: http://www.fauland.com/af5.htm

If you import a txt-file containing the tracknames (That already exists.) into this
program it will automatically rename all the mp3s.
Just make sure the tracknames are separated by line breaks and they don't
contain any invalid letters ( like / or : ) and the list will be read correctly.

I hope this will help you. It sure helped me.
