Ha, yeah. Always fun crushing demons with the 'mad panda' face. It was more intimidating than most of the demons themselves.
I would always get stuck in the puzzle of the flooding room. I think I got stuck on that part the first time I ever played it. Everytime I get to it now I start to panic before even getting to the puzzle itself. Everytime I find one of those slider puzzles in other games, the first thing I think is "OMG NO ONIMUSHA"

Magoichi's gun was too much for me. I liked Roberto because of his short range. It forced me to dodge around and use more stradegy, but jeez can his fists do un-holy damage. He also had that one combo that made anyone caught up in it completely unable to escape it.
I was never a Soske fan. He didnt sit well with me.

Mad Panda face ftw!

I really need to play Dawn more. I'll most likely stick with Roberto, I have no idea why I don't use the other characters. Sadly, I'm too obsessed with Sammy and Jacque so Dawn will have to wait.

Still dont know why I liked Gargant so much. He was literally only in that movie, aside from his cameo in Blade Warriors. Still an awesome opening. Oni transformation in the end still gives me shivers.

Roberto is the man, why play anyone else? I really only played Soki whenever I couldnt be Roberto. I loved Jubei, but playing Rob and Soki was much more fun for me. Soki did have some pretty heavy hitting combos, but I did think his short dash/evade movements was abit annoying for a swordsman. I was use to Sammy and Yagyu's in-human speed.
Haha, Jacque, I keep calling him Jean Reno. I loved how perfectly like him he looks. Whip grab-able bosses where fun.

Tenkai is much better than roberto, long range+ more ussfull specials and the fudo kills special after it gets the wave of energy. But prefrence is prefrence, Most bada$$ weapon was the Earth hammer in no. 2 (starts with a D) followed by the Chigo(Earth Axe in Oni3)

Most annoying boss I though was Louis frois's posessed form from DoD it took me forever to kill him on my first play throught, but i final figuered the magic glitch, if you hold a magic charge as your timer runs out, it wont kill you and he has to restart another timer.

I think that's what made me like this game so much. Jacque and Sammy looking like their real life counterparts.

Wasn't Yagyu also made like someone else? It's been so long that I can't remember. I remember buying 3 just because of Jacque on the cover. "Oh Snap. I gots to have you." where my exact words.

I didn't like Tenkai cause I thought he was ugly. XP My friend loved him for those reasons though. I liked Ekei though...strangely enough. And posessed Lois was a huge pain. I remember hateing that battle so much. Didn't help that he was just the worst looking character either.

It should've been more broken if you ask me. The power of the Oni is the power to end all evil. Thus it was proven in the opening of 3. Plus Sammy has had all that experience. He should be like... elite to the max.

Yeah, I remember now. It's been awhile since I've played them but I clearly remember him being dubbed that. He was pretty beast to prove it too. Aside from Roberto he was my fav.
Soki is also amazing in Tatsonoko vs Capcom. I love how they gave him the diffrent swords for his specials.

oh snap! i never even heard of soki being on that game! i have never even heard OF that game...
Roberto is broken when you use his oni mode. I'll make this hurt! He is the strongest in the game, right. my Roberto is on level 89, and his most of his glovs are maxed out. their power levels are over 9000.

It's pretty much a game you would only hear about if you were a hardcore 2-D fighter fan. Even though this one has 3-D graphics. Also has Viewtiful Joe in it.

Roberto is completely maxed out in my file. I made sure to complete everyone for him way before I even tried to do so with anyone else. I may not have the game anymore (at least for now) but I still have all my data. I spent too much time on it to ever delete it.

Fire Fire Fire! Always has been my fav. I didn't mind chasing after those pesky genma. It helped me work out my legs. I also would forget alot of the time to use anything other than my default attacks and Crit counters. I really muscled my way through most of the games.

Actually I do remember the exploding ones catching me off gaurd from time to time. It got really annoying, especially when I realized it at the last possible second when I could do nothing about it. But a rough lesson learned I say.

Oh yeah, Crit Streaming ftw. Once I had the rythm for it down, I was next to unstoppable.

The counter criticals are much more devastating than the deflects, simply because they are harder to pull off. Sometimes you'll even have to change the rythm and flow you got going depending on the enemy you fight, seeing as how thier attacks vary so much from genma to genma.

Timing is everything to pull them off. It used to drive me crazy trying to do one. In the end, it was worth it. I still want to do more Criticals though. They're a lot more fun. ^_^

criticals are hard to master, but the KIND of critical you are trying to master makes it hard to decide. i just go for both. Oh, protip against those exploding genma, use Lv. 1 magic. you will invincible, making the explosion have no effect at all.

Do you mean chain criticals, one right after the other?

That'd be them. Those nice little 'SHING - SHING - SHING - SHING' *genma death screams* "Woot, orbs!" *suck suck suck* "I grow stronger" :D

I found new Sammy avatar. I'll probably be swappin' between the two from time to time.

The fearsome beast who strikes fear into the hearts of the genma, and his little buddy on his tummy.

Mastering the chains is really rewarding. I spent so much time in the Dark Realm (haha, I remembered now) just practicing it on all the types of enemys. I was so wrapped up in my training that I almost didn't realize I had unlocked Excalibur.

Yeah, I beat them all. I spent ALOT of time in that game. In my Onimusha phase, I almost never rested. Everyday home from school after I did my work I was on it till I went to bed. It wasn't easy but I just never let off of it.

You think? Gargant was just broken all over. His one attack where he just dives the sword at you, then yanks it back and it would auto-break your shield. XD He was way too much, especially considering he only showed up in a cinema for one game. He was never even in it.
Nobunaga was such a pain. He could thrash you with just about anything, not to mention that his stage was 50% poison infested and 25% flame traps. I would always end up spamming the launcher attacks and drain the special orbs when they would pop up as fast as I could.

put some mega in there. you know what i am talking about. They were pretty cool, to, with the ability to attack from anywhere. your shield on that game was somewhat easy to break to begin with. The dude with the gun, i forgot his name, but i didnt get him unlocked yet, nor judodoromah's human form...

I liked ExE's lightning alot. He would flail those swords around like it was nobody's buisness.
Magoichi, he was the most broken of all seeing as how spamming his bullets was so easy and he could nail you from ANYWHERE! His magic attacks were also incredibly devastating. It takes so much to unlock him, but he's worth it if you want the one guy who can beat anyone. I cant remember Judodoromah's human form. I stayed away from everything to do with her. Just knowing what she looked like in demon form, I didnt even give her a chance.

Anyone find that when you get the ultimate whip with Jaqus, Nobunaga was just too easy, I mean in any other Onimusha game, even with the ultimate weapon, it was still semi difficult to kill the final boss, but Jaqus just walks in, whoops a$$, and walks out.

He is The professional. It's his job to whoop Nobunaga into the stoneage. It just wouldn't be right if he couldn't. In my opinion thats how an 'ultimate' weapon should be. It's not ultimate for nothing.
