One thing I really want 3.0

Note these are just suggestions.
1. Melee models for all the veterans. I think this very small addition will be awesome but I feel it would ease the transition between Melee and P:M. It's little things like this that the PMBR do that make P:M awesome. Now I know Brawl Vault has Melee models but just include it with P:M. You guys brought back the Melee animations why not bring back the models for the veterans (especially Ganon, I love the OoT Ganon and so does Kage).
2.Shields. My god the shield mechanics in this game. I really want them to be 100% like Melee. Not only because they were better. But it would really help the Melee pro's like Mango and M2K (who was complaining about this.) not bash certain things. I agree the shields need work. Shields get pushed way to far by certain attacks to punish. I hate when I KNOW that I would've shield grabbed that certain attack in Melee but not in P:M. I also feel Powershielding is too easy (but I think this is an opinion).
3. Have a working RSBE engine that helps us bring Melee characters voices and hit sfx. Add those please. That would be icing on the cake. I love Melee Mario's voice and Fox's "Gahhhh!" when gets hit hard . I feel little things like this would be sweet. You don't have to listen to these suggestions that's just something I feel would be cool as well as ease some of the P:M nitpickers into the game more. I know it's called P:M and not P:Melee but whatever I guess :)

The 3rd i d'n really care about....I'm not even sure about the 1st. The 2nd one is a must though....going from melee to PM the shields and fighting around them is just....eww...

This has already been published by InternetExplorer, you can find the engine here. I know you're probably wanting us to release a sound bank pack with the next release, but I cannot comment on whether we will include a PM-exclusive sound bank or will point users to existing Melee sound banks.

There should be a unified Project M soundbank that only adds a few important SFX such as Marth's tipper, Falcon's knee, Ness' double jump ect.

All of this on top of the latest mod still has to fit a 2gb card. That being said, I still like the idea of an alternative music/sfx collective. People make whole packs of costumes for m. Id like to see the PMBR make their own additional expansions.

You can add things like sound/stage/texture expansions on your own, and it's really not difficult.

The only models/sfx that really need to be changed are gano luigi and fox/falco
Ganondorf was like a linebacker in melee now hes just fat with his 800 pound+ run and kick animations. Hes too obese to even crouch right.
Luigi in melee is like a completely different guy, looks acts and sounds way different
Not even talking about spacies, there is seriously something wrong with brawl fox he doesnt act like a regular person and sounds too fruity to be anyones hero. Falco is not black enough.
Also no one wants to play wolf with all of those goth chains and studs and tights and that terrible awkward voice. If he looked like how he did in the melee intro all of the kids would love him

Little things, like a better selection of Stages?
It only took a few patches to get a decent SSE: Jungle 'included' in the raw PM package. ;)

As of 2.6b, P:M only takes up 234MB. With the addition of Mewtwo, Roy and a couple of sound files, it probably still won't pass 300MB. If they were to add Melee SFX as a bonus it wouldn't take much space at all.

Trust me, if people aren't willing to give the game a chance with their veteran when they were either buffed or virtually untouched, making them look like their 2001 models isn't going to make much of a difference. And a lot of Melee skins just look ugly with Brawl's texture palette anyway. It's like Fox died, you drew a transmutation circle and tried to bring him back, fed him him red stones to turn him into old Fox in appearance, but it's not the same.

I believe there were plans to eventually include all vanilla Brawl stages (likely on their own page) in the final version in addition to the stages presently available. It probably just needs a bit of ASM work to make everything work properly.

As for textures and sound effects (besides maybe a few, damn I really hate the sword hit SFX in Brawl; they're awful), it's stuff you can do on your own as stated.

But this is Project M, they can improve those models and textures to look amazing and like they truly belong in Brawl, just see Roy.

I hope all of this stuff stays optional, just as has been intended since the start. Melee might be good, but anyone claiming that it looks better is just nostalgic. I still miss Mario's vBrawl "boing" sound effect when jumping. I stopped playing him in melee because how annoying his squeaky overdone voice is.

"Suggesting" that shield mechanics be fixed is like "suggesting" they bring back Samus. They will eventually, and pestering them won't bring it back any faster.

And anyone that says that Brawl looks better can also be a claim. I personally prefer Melee's palette much more than Brawl's. Brawl's colours are dulled down and muddy. Obviously the amount of polygons that are in Brawl's models is far better than Melee's.

I think brawl's palette is.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Seriously why go for the realistic look? I like cartoony designs and more vibrant colors that pop out. Hell I think Smash 64 is more vibrant.

I really don`t like 1., 2. is a must, and with 3., I really hope they add in some sound effects, but I don`t want them reverting back to every Melee voice and sound effect there was.

If you want all of these melee things back... why not play melee? You seem to like it more than this game. Project M is not melee 2.0 (despite what Gecko OS says).
Read the ****ing OP again seriously. Melee doesn't have squirtle or charizard. Also I said "I feel would be cool as well as ease some of the P:M nitpickers into the game more. I know it's called P:M and not P:Melee but whatever I guess." Acknowledging that this is P:M

We have already provided them with the tools to 'ease' into the game. If we provided an option that made everyone back to melee versions, the 'melee nitpickers' would still pick Fox, Falco, Falcon*, Sheik, Marth, Peach*, Ice Climbers**, or Jigglypuff (AKA the characters that are already cloned from melee). The only difference would be the other 70% of the melee cast, that has only seen improvements with their transition to P:M. I read elsewhere on these forums that lots of the PMBR have stopped trying to appease the melee try-hards because they won't accept anything less than '100% melee + brawl characters mixed in'.

*Peach and Captain Falcon are characters who has received buffs in P:M, so she is not an exact clone. I'm aware of this.
**Yes I know that Ice Climbers are not in P:M yet.

It's just so sad to see the purists walk away from this awesome game. Hax quit P:M Falcon

Nobody can force them to stay. If they like melee more, they are welcome to leave. The addition of the clone engine, the publicity on gaming news sites, and the influx of players from brawl has provided enough of a dedicated playerbase so we don't need to cling onto people who prefer melee.

The only real change I've wanted to see in terms of sounds, is the old announcer from Melee and 64. I'd love to turn on P:M and hear the old "SUPER SMAAAAASH BRRRROOOOOOOTHERS!" call again on the title screen. Having the old "Game set!" and "This game's winner is..." calls would be kind of neat.... I haven't been able to find any of that on the Vault, myself. I guess it's just a nitpick out of nostalgia; something that's not really needed at all, something just for flavor.

I've always preferred the Melee announcer to the Brawl one...I wish we could get him to do voice calls for all the Brawl characters.

I personally prefer the Brawl character calls. Melee's sounded so quiet and muffled compared to Brawl's. It would be sort of weird to have two 'different' announcers, also. The actual in-game announcements though, those I could get into. Hearing 'Game!' in Brawl isn't as exciting as 'GAAAAAAME!' from Melee, but, that's just me. Again, those are just some dorky nitpicks that don't impact the game in any way whatsoever.

As for Mario and Luigi's voice (even Link's), please oh please can we not do their Melee ones..? Mario and Luigi were so terribly squeaky, and Luigi didn't even have his own voice.

Well, I'd gladly replace every one of Brawl's announcer calls with the Melee one's. The Brawl one sounds so melodramatic to me. >_<

I don't care about most characters' voices, but I want Link's back. I way prefer his OoT/Melee/Soul Calibur voice to his TP/Brawl one.

Melee's character models are actually higher poly than Brawl's in many instances. I assume it's because they didn't have an online mode to worry about, but I'm not certain...brawl just isn't as wasteful with how it distributes its vertices, maybe?
