THESE ARE NOT PIVOT/DASH GRABS. Just your standard grab on a platform, near the ledge.
The test was done at Final Destination using White,Blue,Red and Yellow Pikmin.
I can make a different list for purple pikmin if needed. Since the purple grab range isnt practical they were not used.

[SIZE="4"]CHARACTERS THAT CAN BE GRAB RELEASE INFINITED AT THE LEDGE[/SIZE]

MetaKnight
Luigi
Donkey Kong
IceClimbers** - SEE SPECIAL CASE BELOW
Kirby

[SIZE="4"]CHARACTERS THAT CAN BE LEDGE GRABED NOT INFINITED[/SIZE]

Olimar
Mario
Pikachu
Squritle
Ivysaur** - SEE SPECIAL CASE BELOW
Charizard
G&W
Jigglypuff
Ness
Lucas

[SIZE="4"]CHARACTERS THAT CANNOT BE LEDGE GRABED[/SIZE]

Bowser
Peach
Diddy Kong
Yoshi
Wario
Link
Zelda/Shiek
Ganon
Toon Link
Samus
Zero Suit Samus
Pit
R.O.B
King Dedede
Fox
Falco
Wolf
Capt. Falcon
Lucario
Marth
Ike
Snake
Sonic

[SIZE="4"]SPECIAL CASE [/SIZE]

Ice Climbers** -- Popo gets grabbed first, after release Nana gets grabbed. If either
Nana or Popo are alone they can be Infinite release grabed from the ledge.

Iysaur** -- My pikmin went out, grabed the blub on Ivysaurs back, but I could not deal damage because
Ivysaurs sprite was wedged at the ledge. I could not pull him up. So instead was forced to release him.
The release is very high jump back. Also you can still do all throws despite not beging able to jab.

MetaKnight; 0:00 - 1:20
Donkey Kong; 1:21 - 2:22
Ice Climbers; 2:23 - 4:15
Kirby; 4:16 - 5:13
Luigi; 5:14 - 6:30
Ivysaur Grab stage lock; 6:31 - 7:33

Credit goes to who ever. I doubt im the first to figure this out.

Also keep in mind the position olimar is at relative to the ledge. I always position Oli behind that last arrow pointing to the ledge.

It is not necessarily a 'true' infinite due to how the mechanics work. It ONLY becomes an infinite while the character's are idling

In the situation i set up, it does BECOME an infinite only due to grab release, but in an actual match 99% chance it will not be the case since your opponent should be smarter and quicker than that. What the grab release will allow you to do is predict where they will go pretty much. This can set up a sitaution where the Olimar user can either; walk forward>dsmash / fsmash / Dair --- if they deicide to stay at the ledge. If the opponent deicides to drop below; jump>Dair / jump>Bair or Fair. If the opponent deicides to jump up; jump>uair, jump> bair, jump>fair, jump>nair, jump> dair, jump>up+b, usmash.

You could also go as far to say the ledge grab options for;

Olimar
Mario
Pikachu
Squritle
Ivysaur
Charizard
G&W
Jigglypuff
Ness
Lucas

can also be used for setting up a situation as well. They're on the ledge; grab>jab>release>fsmash / grab>jab>release>dsmash / or you could do a throw. If you saw the Ivysaur portion, i was thinking about how i could abuse the ledge to try to chain dthrows. I dont think it worked out too well.

Thanks for gathering all this information and making it black and white but the chances your opponent is going to stay on the ledge long enough for you to grab him is slim to none. Thanks for the charts of chars that can be grabbed( i didn't want to do it myself). The ivysaur grab is sexy :D.

You misspelled the word infinited. lol
Thanks for the info man. I'll look into this. ;) I'm happy that the infinite is on the ONLY characters I have some problems with: MK, DK, Kirby, and Luigi. This looks good.

I might have misread something, but it seems they can just fall off the edge or something. Seems too easy to get out of, even when they're already in it. I could very well be wrong.

It is escapable like some of you mentioned. But it does limit the opponents options, which is something you guys want. I can think of about 3 options they have when they get a grab release to the ledge; stay put, drop down, jump up. From there its up to the Olimar user what attack to execute.

Also one thing to keep in mind...pay attention to this carefully. After i did some more testing with Kirby/Lucas/Metaknight, i found that it was relatively easy to Ledge Grab Olimar on Kirby and Metaknight. Meta must be on the ledge next to Olimar and he can; Standard Grab, Dash Grab, and Pivot grab olimar from off the ledge. Kirby can also Dash and Pivot grab olimar as well. It was scary for me simply because after i Uthrow'ed Olimar on Meta all of his Pikmin desync'ed, died and my idle Olimar died too.

Fears aside, Olimar is still a better candidate for using the ledge grab. Obviously he can ledge grab more characters. Whilst Meta and Kirby could not grab half of them. And characters like Lucas must pivot grab to even try to ledge grab at all.

This isnt really an AT Raven, its a very simple straight forward grab. Very easy to use.

Olimarman; test it for yourself in a match, when the time is right. depending on your opponent you may not use it at all, but you should feel more secure in the fact that if your opponent is any ledge grabbable character i mentioned above, then the ledge is no longer a safe option for them :)

Also the list i wrote above i was just using a standard grab, NOT PIVOT OR DASH GRABS !!! But honestly if they can be grabbed using a standard grab, they should be more than likely to be Dashed and Pivot grabbed. I'll run some tests today so we can make absolutely sure.

I'll get onto fixing the misspellings lol

also if they ledge hop, it should be able to lead to another grab as invincible frames only last for so long :D

or just spike lololol

Since my friend mains Mario he asked me to do a ledge grab test here are the results;

Code:
[SIZE="4"]Mario Ledge Grab Test[/SIZE]

Test was performed at Final Destination. Standard, Dash and Pivot grabs were used.

MetaKnight

-Standard: YES - Needs to be timed when Meta's head peaks above the stage
-Dash: YES - easiest to pull off
-Pivot: YES

Kirby

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Luigi

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Mario

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Donkey Kong

-Standard: NO
-Dash: YES
-Pivot: YES

IceClimbers [Together and Popo alone]

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Squritle

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Ivysaur

-Standard: NO
-Dash: NO
-Pivot: NO

Charizard

-Standard: YES
-Dash: YES
-Pivot: YES

Olimar

-Standard: YES - Needs to be timed when Olimar's head peaks above the stage
-Dash: YES - easiest to pull off
-Pivot: YES

Ness

-Standard: YES - Needs to be timed when Ness' head peaks above the stage
-Dash: YES - easiest to pull off
-Pivot: YES

Lucas

-Standard: YES - Needs to be timed when Lucas' head peaks above the stage
-Dash: YES - easiest to pull off
-Pivot: YES
Note that i found it easier to dash grab the opponent at the ledge. Since the standard grab didnt necessarily work consistantly.

Why am i bringing this to an Olimar mainers attention? Simple, it can lead into a very early gimp or spike. Your in the danger zone if a Mario can ledge grab, dthrow, [insert combo here], fair spike. I found that you probably wont be coming back to the platform if your above 41%

Video of Mario Ledge Grab Test

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkZMSpNneb4

MetaKnight; 0:00 - 1:02
Lucas; 1:03 - 1:37
Ness; 1:38 - 2:58
Olimar; 2:59 - 4:34
Donkey Kong; 4:35 - 5:12
Charizard; 5:13 - 5:49

Dash grabs seem to be more consistant than Standard grabs. This also hurts Ness/Lucas/Olimar users quite abit since they seem more in danger to being ledge grabbed due to their large heads. But for a Mario user, you have to time when you can grab Ness/Lucas/Olimar/Meta. There's a part of the ledge animation where their heads 'peak' slightly above the ledge. This is when Mario can grab them.

I kept dthrowing because i was building damage just to see what i could possibly do with my opponent at the ledge. I think the jab,Dthrow, nair, fair combo might work out well.

It's not very practical, but if your opponent isn't expecting it, that could be a free stock for you XD

Edit: Actually, they looks totally escapable. Can't MK just roll up or something during his invincibilty frames?
