2) we have a pretty organized competitive scene that has existed for like 2 years. we all know the BYOC rule and i'd be a shame if you wasted money getting classic controllers just for us

That would kick ***, get two games going at once. How big is the TV you are able to bring? I can take the one I have in my room and set it up in my living room as well, its only a 20 inch though.

This is the first time I have organized a get together, so I might be going a little overboard. lol

Going overboard? We usually try to get up as many set ups as we can. Having enough for everyone to play 1v1 at once is awesome, but a lot of the times we don't need quite that many. People wanting to sit out for a bit or playing team matches causes a need for just a bit less. I definitely don't suggest buying controllers just like Hazygoose (and everyone else here). We always bring TVs, game systems (including games and memory cards), contollers, and money. The more the host can provide obviously the more convenient, but I don't think any of the smashers really expect you to provide much. Hosting the smashfest at your house is enough . Plus, if anyone wants to hosts smashfests regularly it's not like they can give free food and stuff every time, not saying free food isn't welcome . Oh.....one thing......gummy bears are mandatory. They are the OK smashfest food. I can help you out tomorrow. Luckly, I have a large spare pack of gummy bears that I will try to remember to bring hahah. Hope to see all of you guys soon. :D

My living room has the capacity for 5 setups comfortably.

I have 2 tvs and 1 Wii and 1 GC.

If 3 people bring their set ups, we could run at full capacity.

I have two couches and 9 chairs, seating shouldn't be an issue.

Drinks will be Coke, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper; for those who gave up caffiene for lint, BYOB.

Little Ceasers should hate me around 5-6P.M.

If you need a ride and live in Edmond or Oklahoma City, you must contact me before 1 P.M.

Man, I am on a set schedule at work. Off on Thursdays and Sundays, and I work 11-9 every other day except Saturday, thats 8-5. Thursdays I do the band thing, and Saturdays are the days where I just kind of go with the flow.

To me, it feels like the skill levels are closer. Which is a good thing imo.

I can take on other people in WiFi, though some are far better than me, and require my fullest attention and cause me to play very cautiously, but I think the skill gap is fine. I can't wait to be able to go to a tournament.
