Jumping without shooting a laser into a grab can be a good mindgame when your opponent is conditioned to expect a laser.

Oklahoma Thread: Weekly events for all games in OKC and Tulsa

Whats a Double Short Hop Laser? Doesnt sound too effective to me.

Anyway you should decide what type of falco you want, one that revolves around laser games, or one that revolves around shine comboes, or somewhere in the middle.
If you like to shoot alot, then practice getting the opponent to just come to you, you shouldnt have to move very much at all if you sit there and laser the entire time. Second off if your a laser falco is to short hop laser back and forth and then come in for an actualy attack if your close enough. But remember to fake sometimes.
Some times if you shine them into the air a good mind game is to go in for another shine, and then use your second jump to attack them, but don't do it often or theyle no to DI instead of expect another attack.

Laser Falcos suck, and a Falco that did shines but not lasers would be ********. You want to bring together all aspects of Falco and incorporate them into your game in the most effective manner.

laser falcos can get the job done, though. mathos is a good camper.
whereas PC chris owns up. a more physical falco will always be slightly better, because of the faster damage buildup, less time for mistakes.

me hosting a smashfest -.-, i live in apartment which isnt that big. Though we have a HDTV we could play on. My main concern is on space and cleaning.

Well, laser falco has to be able to do shine and wave shine comboes to, but they shouldn't have to come to the opponent to do them, they should just sit there wait for the enimy to get a little irritated and come to them, and then the Falco takes advantage of making the only way to aproach them either, to take all the shots and come straight at you like gravity does, in that case you just wait till hes close enough and start a down air shine pillar.

My Falco is kind of in between laser and shine Falco's. The main times I shoot lasers are when my opponent is across the stage and coming at me, when I send him flying I shook lasers to try and mess up his recovery or at least add on some more damage. I mainly focus on shine combos though, but I can't do them all that well yet since I can't waveshine for **** with Falco. Can't waveshine with him at all actually. The timing for his WD is so much different from everyone else I use it is pissing me off that I can't get it.
And I guess there is always next weekend for a smashfest.
Oh and Rasta, DSHL with Falco is when you are hanging on the ledge, let go, and use your double jump to resturn to the stage while shooting 2 blaster shots. I can only shoot once before I hit the ground and it usually goes over my opponents head, so I don't try it much. Bombsoldier does it almost every time he gets back on the stage, so watch vids of him if you still don't know what I am talking about.

Yah guys, thanks for havin confidence in us...Shade, you and me. Ill show you the true force of Rasta, Ice Climbers or Jiggs, your choice. Kosmos and I did **** well in teams, and Im **** sure that we can beat You (Shade) and You (GravE) in teams, yah, Fo Sho.
You didnt think I could do it, I would have gotten 3rd, but they kept putting us up against each other so soon. Po lost, if he won he would have had to fight Marc, Marc had to fight Pay$, Pay$ had to fight Vegafuse, Vega had to fight South Paw, Pay$ had to fight South Paw, I had to fight Vegafuse, I lost-but if I did win,I would have had have fought South Paw. Yah, they put us all up against each other pretty fast, all that was like 2 or 3 rounds before the semi's.
Also, if Po got it, you can see the matches where I kill myself as ICs twice, and me and KOSMOS still beat South Paw and Vegafuse.
No Mindgames for the win, but I also give respect to Wheres the Luv?.

I was using Pichu. The reason nopants got third was because he rode the winners bracket till finals and finally lost against KOS-MOS. Automatic third place. He pretty much bypassed oklahoma because as Rasta said - they all vs themselves.
