During a chaingrab, I noticed sometimes your opponents can escape if you do this. Is this just me timing it a lil late? Or do you have to pivot boost grab at very early percents? Thanks

Yeah the timing has to be very fast. As soon as Falco lands you have to input the command.

Well it can't work on light characters since it'll give them enough time to get out so just walking is better or you can Dair, land go behind them and try to go for the regrab. Other than light characters it'll work on everyone else but only on low percentages, that way they're more vulnerable to it.

You do have to do it at lower percents, but it does kind of feel like some characters avoid it. Dash for a split second longer than usual, then down+c, back+z. That extra distance will help.

It works most of the time right after you D-Throw to do run and perform.

Standing in the same spot after a D-Throw will only work on low percentages.
