there is or can be make a tool to change only te pokeball in pokemon stadium?
seriously I dont get it how to do :(
1) Download Steelia's pack for Pokemon Stadium: https://www.mediafire.com/?863499v5cp82i
2) Open the 041StadiumPkball folder
3) Open the tga file in gimp (or any other editor)
4) Finish editing it and save it as a .png
5) Open DRGN's DAT texture wizard: http://smashboards.com/threads/new-tools-for-texture-hacking.373777/
6) Select the .usd file in steelia's pack as the destination, the placements file as the placements file (of course) and use "scan folder structure" at its default location and it will list your png and offset.
7) Select replace, and you will receive a new .usd file called (the hack v1)
8) Use GCRebuilder (http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/619/) to replace the GrPs.usd file in your iso with your new hacked one.
9) Enjoy!

Im assuming the image you added didn't have a transparency layer, like the default pokeball image does. In order to add one, open your image in gimp, go to layer -> transparency -> add alpha channel, then select your background by using color select or fuzzy select or whatever you want and delete it. It will leave behind a checkerboard pattern indicating a transparent layer.
You can do this with many other image editors, GIMP is just what i use and its free so yeah.

Sure!

The fancy background in the image doesn't appear till around 2 mins in so feel free to skip.

Thank you for the fast reply!

I tried to replace mushroom kingdom 1 with a custom called LEGAL (Kingdom), I did the simple move the DAT over to replace the old one, rebuild with GCR - I don't understand why it wouldn't load but it wouldn't.
I tried with yoshi's the same way and it worked. From the preview it appears as though the layout of GrI1 (mk1) is different in the picture. Is there something else I need to change to fix it?

I perused the usual threads looking for answers but didn't see anything.

Also, when it says x skin is to replace y skin, is there a way for me to have it replace a different skin instead? I tried just renaming it to the skin I wanted to replace but the game crashes when you pick a stage. I also tried to find something about this but since the texture replacing is so easy when you just follow the instructions ...people don't talk much about trying to do it your own way - unless you want to hex edit. But I didn't think it was so complicated to change what the texture replaces, though I'm not afraid to if I must to keep the colors I like and replace the ones I don't. :)

Clarification Edit: For instance I tried Sasuke falco as blue instead of neutral since I'd like to keep neutral - but it doesn't load. Same for others. I'm not trying to have a skin from x char to y char - just change which color it replaces.

Hello! I am in need for assistance. I would like to remove a certain texture from the game, a particular image which flashes thrice every time a shield is being hit.

http://smashboards.com/threads/subliminal-embeds-in-melee-shield-animation.404973/

Please see the thread above for more details.

I have Dolphin running 20xx Hackpack in Debug Mode. Now, I understand that I would need to read the game's code somehow whenever a shield is being hit in order to get a clue where this image is being loaded from. The problem is I do not know how to begin with this. Any advice?

Update:

I tried to use IE's method of narrowing down frames by using Dolphins Cheat Manager (in Debug Menu), as shown in the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTlbE4nlA5g

I made a CPU hold shield (L+Dpad Left in 20XX hackpack), hit the shield to commence the animation and advanced frame by frame by using the Cheat Manager (Toggling "Equal"/"Non-Equal") and scanning the code.
Unfortunately, by using this method, I could only narrow down to +1200 which is too many to display, until the shield animation was over. Next I'll try the same method but instead have a CPU Falco shooting lasers on repeatedly commence the display of the texture in question.

Any advice is appreciated (for example pointers/values regarding shields), I shall continue posting here on my progress.

There are model-specific data in those files, so you'd have to extract all the textures and replace all of them in your desired color.

So it's only as hard as making your own textures - except without most of the work?

If I end up doing this should I post it here crediting the original authors or no?

Looking back at the 64 skins, it seems there are quite a few that could be done. I updated my list from earlier for anyone looking for ideas:

CF - Default purple (has been done) Can be redone again to be closer to 64, closer pink/purple.
DK - Green Team (green skin and fur), Grey/Black, Bright Red. Really all of these can be redone because of the tie.
Jigglypuff - Blue tinted(blue bow), Cream tinted (green bow)
Mario - all besides his default can be brighter.
Ness - all besides yellow/black can be redone to be closer to 64
Samus - Darker brown(inner thighs and helmet), Bluer purple(these two are vry close, but Melee is more purple than blue). Most can have the inner thighs touched up, as in Melee they are all the same yellow, but not in 64.

Anybody think they could make a Shulk skin for Marth? I've been curious to see if that'd be possible.

Also, I'm having trouble with some files when I download them. Sometimes, I get .rar files instead of .dat and/or .usd files and they don't replace the original file when I put them into the folder. Any way around this?

Also, what file does the "Rage Quit?" pause screen replace?

A .rar or .zip file is simply an archive, or collection of files. Usually people use these to combine multiple small files into one so you can download it easier as it compresses the size and doesn't force you to download multiple things. You can open these archives with free programs such as 7zip or winRAR (technically not free but come on) and you will find the .dat or .usd files within. You can find 7zip which i strongly recommend at http://www.7-zip.org/.

As for the Rage Quit? Pause screen, Im pretty sure it replace IfAll.usd, but im not 100% sure.

Also @ Veggies Veggies I updated the maria brink skin post. Im so used to just uploading the .dats i usually don't worry about listing their replacement, i'll make sure to do that from now on.

So today I tried to write my textures to GrPs.usd using DTW. I wrote two textures: one that replaces the pokeball at the center, and one that replaces the floor texture:

Once I finished that, I switched the usd file with the one in 20XX, ran the game in Dolphin, but my textures did not show, the original ones were still there. Any suggestions?

Sure you used the right files? replaced the .usd with .usd, used the one titled "GrPs (The Hack v1).usd" ?
That'd be my thought, ive done that multiple times.

Also, its all coming together boys.
