you see i can approach but i can never kill her. i usually approach with the dsmash or usmash which usually hit but i cant keep the combo going to kill her

approaching with DSMASH/USMASH every time it's not pretty effective. it is if you find to hit, but a good sheik wont let himself get hit so easily. dont stop doing it, but don't do it that much. getting in with utilts when she fulljumps, of an upwarded ftilf when she is near from touching the floor, can be after a SH, or full jump works pretty good too.. remember luigi has no problem on grabbing sheik when she is crouching, and i understand that sheik's grab is ridiculously long, but luigi's WD its pretty quick. those are the options you have to enter. doing WD and stop right in the point you know shw can't hit you with a shffled ftilt/nair, neither ftilt/dsmash/dtilt and neither grab, and do a double shffled bair works pretty fine to cover options. bair its one of the best moves you have on sheik. try to control the ground a lot, dont jump to much. when she is coming at you, she will either grab or attack, obviously.. so what you can do in that position besides moving backwards is, ftilting before she gets the grab, or sh backwards and dair quick as possible, so if she looks for the grab, youll hit her, if she looks for the fair, she wont get it. and you can even fastfall and WL after the dair. killing her its not pretty easy until a certain percent. but once she is 60, 70, gets easier. bairing from edgehogging its pretty good. also waiting her in the edge, and pressing up just when she does the upb. you can sometimes get her with a dair beeing doing edgeguard, dairing the edge, if she doesn't sweetspots. i hope that can be some help for you.
