I thought Clefairy also used Earthquake, or Togepi. Anyway, Venasaur appears to be almost possibly deconfirmed with Ivysaur as playable and Metagross can use Earthquake. Plus Charizard is obviously deconfirmed too.

Nice find. Although the info isn't really what I'm interested in, any info is good info.

These Japanese forums are going to be a precious resource in the coming weeks as thier release date draws near...

Yes, I'm sure it means Venusaur is out. After PT, I don't expect any form of Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle to appear in a Poke Ball. It would be like playing as Link and having Cel Chaded Link come out as an AT.

I used to be a Pokemon fan, but in Smash I am always alert about the Pokemon parts of the game.

I won't be able to update my post soon. But yeah we went through the fact it's REMOTE mine not PROXIMITY for Snake. Also the Zelda bit is from a video. People went through attack percentages and compiled a list. We went through Duster and there are other. Maybe Jill Dozer.

A lot of you guys are repeating questions from the first few pages of this thread (including the small boxy character pictures). I don't expect you to read all the pages but I can't really update the first post yet. I'm not at home or on my laptop

ok but how do they know so much new stuff about Snake and so on?
Gameplay movie shows that the mine is remote, not proximity.

The rest of the info is on the Dojo site. We know all three of his smash atatcks, and all specials s except his Down Special. (Unless I'm just forgetting it)

It IS a Down Smash, read the friggin site
You're true, it does show the mine after it notes that ordnance is also used with A attacks. However, I seem to recall Snake shooting his missile launcher downwards while on the ground in one of the trailers. This could be his down A while the mine is his down B...unless the missile launcher is his side A, tilt A or down A. But I think it could be his down A, and the mine is down B. It'd be pretty unusual to have a smash A have more than one effect (plant + detonation). Only B moves usually have those kind of effects.

But I'm probably wrong anyway <_<;.

I think this is his down smash. Sakurai doesn't say "he plants something for his down smash". He probably wants to throw people off.

yeah, but up smashes normally don't shoot MISSILES INTO THE AIR!! this could be something new, and the way it's worded on the Dojo makes it seem that way. but either way, thats going to be some epic edge-guarding! :{O

Well I'm pretty sure the mine is one of his smashes...that doesn't make sense to say he uses it as another attack then lie and make it a special

Yeah, you guys are nuts to think a smash attack will be a projectile or a distanced attack. Smash attacks are charged and the point of the name is to SMASH. The missle launcher has been shown to been shot sideways in one of the Break the Target shots.
Side+B = Missle Launcher. This can be aimed like you can aim Fox/Falco's Up+B
Down+B = Remote Trigger Mine

His Up Smash is a mortar, not a missile launcher...

explain the mortar attack then...It's another one of his B moves...huh?

I don't really know if we have enough information to decide what his tilts and smashes are. He hasn't been in a demo yet, and it's hard to tell from trailers.
