I think the glitch with Mewtwo is called the Soul Stunner. Ice Climbers also has the freeze glitch where you get frozen and you can never recuperate, unless you fall off or something.

I've seen a lot of videos and heard a lot of stuff about the IC freeze glitch, but how are you supposed to do it?

What's the video called so I can search for it?

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I was playing Peach and was thrown out of bounds. It looked as if I was dead for sure as I was heading in a diagonal to my doom, but then, since I kept spamming jump, she jumped, then, for a few frames, it looked like she had landed on something! And then she kept falling. o_O (I play PAL by the way)

Also, I once got it to look really weird when I L-cancelled. After a nair, Peach landed on her feet and her skirt was flowing in the air a little so that her feet/shoes were visible. This lasted for several frames.

well, it's really more of an AI problem than a glitch, but choose any number of lev 9 roys as you want (i've found it doesn't work for marth, as he's a bit too light) and go to the lowest platform and let the roy(s) follow you. dodge up next to the left side of the platform and hold your shield. Roy(s) should walk off the ledge, use their down aerial a, and plummet to their doom. Odd.

Yesterday, I was playing Adventure Mode on Hard with a white Peach when I encountered Team Yoshi. I got hit by a poison mushroom and shrunk and right afterwards, a stupid Yoshi swallowed me and spat me out (neutral b).

And I stayed small 'til I died (before killing off Team Yoshi), making the shrinking last way longer than it should.

I'm wondering if this can happen to any character and if it also works with Kirby and if it can happen on any mode/difficulty.

NYC. This is "THE PLACE," so why are the
Don't know if this has been discovered before:

I was playing in a 3 player FFA (or 4-player, not sure). I was Yoshi and my friend was Roy. We were a little bit to the right of final destination. I shielded, expecting an attack, and yoshi went into his egg form. My friend did a down smash with roy (I am not sure if it was sweetspotted or not), and yoshi, in his blackening egg form, slid all the way across the stage over to the left.
I don't know how this happened.

I haven't read thru all these but this may be new, so I put it in here rather than make a new thread.

I wuz w/ sum friends and using AR. We had one person playing master hand, one playing crazy hand, and two normal chars.

Anyways the crazy hand did his laser hand attack, and sum how ended up withe the lasers constantly shooting out of his fingers but he could still do other attacks. Like since he keeps curling and uncurling his fingers there were lasers pointing every where(on FD) and was like this freaky lights show. We'd do hand team attaks and sum1 would get smushed then zapped by the lasers.

ANother thing, though this isn't really a glitch. Using Giga Bowser (w/ AR) no one can grab him, even the hand grabs(with master and crazy hands.) The hand would grab him and then he'd pop out, but the hand would act like he wuz still there and throw nothing.

I love AR:D

One person pics Samus, and the other Mario (or Doc). Have Samus use her grapel on a ledge. Then have Mario jump out and use the cape, hittine Samus. Now Samus should be turned around, hanging to NOTHING! :demon:

I live in a house.
Earlier today when I was fighting a Cpu in Princess Peach's Castle, I discovered something very odd. If you hit your opponent into 1 of the 3 switches that appears randomly with a powerful attack (such as a fully charged smash attack, or a powerful arial), it slows the game down to about 1/2-3/4 the normal speed for roughly 120 frames (2 seconds). It is also interesting to note that you are capable of gaining extra altitude previously not possible. It is gained via an interesting "third jump". While the lag continues, if you double jump at the correct time, and then the speed returns to normal while you are in mid-jump, you get to jump a whopping 3 times. The second jump probably does not register, as the game has to draw the various platforms created, and therefore cannot carry on 2 major functions. Of course, this is pure speculation, as the switch draws the platforms instantaneously about 1/4 of the time. Grounds for banning this level in official tournaments? Discuss

Glitched bowser

In adventure mode, select bowser and run through the first stage till you get to the part where your over a peir. Get under the peir and head all the way to the left, to the spot where you often find trophies.

Now, in that corner, do a DOWN+B. You'll be stuck there in his falling position, and the only way to get out is to quit. Doesn't work with yoshi.

The other day my friend and I were playing at Hyrule Temple. I was Falco and he was the Ice Climbers. We were down in the bottom left area where you can live forever via teching. I was at about 100 and he was at about 50, although I don't remember exact damages. During the fight I grabbed Nana and used my down throw. Falco threw Nana to the ground as usual, but when he got into position to start shooting lasers down at her he just froze in mid air. Nana also froze. It looked like we had just paused it right before Falco started shooting the lasers, except Popo could still move around (which lead to me getting hit by a fully charged smash >_<). We tried to replicate it for a while, but with no success. Has this happened to anybody else?

This might not be a glitch but it was sorta odd. I was fighting vs a lvl 9 Pikachu the other day (I was Falco) and Pikachu did his down B thunder thing. I grabbed him sometime during the starting animation and the thunber bolt came down and was about to hit us but it sorta just stopped and dissappeared right above Falco and Pikachus head. I didnt even take damage! O_o

My little brother found out a zelda soul breaker glitch similar to Mewtwo's the other day. It requires a specific AR code in order to perform, but hey, it's still a glitch. Detailed vids of that and the Flat Kirby glitch are available on my filelist on the hub.

Maybe you grabbed Pika while he was still a bit above your head or something. If Pikachu is attacked any time during the startup animation of Thunderbolt (or whatever Pokémon attack that is), the thunder will disappear.

Yay for JRI3102.

But some of your explanations are a little too concise for Instance in order for the IC glitch to work you need to be very near the edge and facing it. I dont think that you mentioned that. Also see if you can post up some links for vids of the Glitches these Can be found in random spots around the forums.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

Glitch Tricks and Eggs Database FAQ

Tricks and Glitch Database FAQ w/ Pictures
I know and can perform all of these glitches
all these glitches can be reproduced and are not AR'ed.
(I pefer if you only send glitches that are not performed with AR)
(Note: most of these glitches were performed on version 0.0)

PLEASE SEND ANY ADDITIONAL GLITCHES OR INFORMATION YOU MAY HAVE SO I CAN CONTINUE TO UPDATE. THANKS.

I went through the ENTIRE "Official Glitch topic" (all 21 Pages) and pulled out all the glitches that i found to be reoccuring and added them into this post (the rest of the information was spam and non reoccuring animation bugs)

Sofakingsheik and I spent a lot of time learning how to perform most of these glitches and I would like to thank anyone that helped or clarified any of them.

*note these are the glitch spoilers and HOW TO DO THEM*

1. Links and young Links Grounded -- cannot jump (shows the animation but does not leave the ground) and can also run through the stage and throw items through it

Links and young Links Grounded-- go to venom and go the lower wings throw your boomerang away from the ship at a high angle jump backwards and hook shot onto the lower wing (your hook shot should hang but not be touching the level then let the boomerang hit you (like the high jump trick) you should begin to roll up the bottom of the wing and fly through the level.. from there you cannot jump or get knocked down even by a smash at 999 (to end the glitch get thrown or walk off the wing

While in no jump mode you can walk through the great fox, throw bombs through it throw boomerangs through it and also characters down through it (Link death throw) if you do the beginning with young link and press up b as you catch the boomerang and you should do an up b while continuing to hold the edge. (Double edge guard)(Can be done with two Y. links at the same time

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/NoAirupb.jpg
2. Sheik super Sex kick recovery/ also known as Cape teleportation -- (sheik recovers and attacks everyone across the entire level instantaneously (most levels)

Sheik Super Recovery-- this can be done on almost all stages but only from certain sides on FD have sheik hang on the left side and place other characters throughout it when sheik is recovering (her laying down kick) have Mario cape her she will teleport to the other side and have hit everyone on the stage.
I have done this extensively with sheik and Mario. Basically you have sheik hold on to any ledge and Mario stand about two body lengths away from the edge, then once you see sheiks legs move for the get up attack cape and she should be teleported to the other end of the stage, now this can be done on all levels that have grab able edges (yoshi’s story and Mushroom kingdom one and 2 have instant death edges.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/SSSPeachCastle.jpg
3. One Pixel Characters -- (as demonstrated at MOAST3 by me and sofakingsheik) basically your character shrinks to the size of one pixel with no restrictions on attacks or maneuvers and can't get hit by most attacks

'The 1 pixel glitch involves Kirby’s neutral-b move with the Yoshi hat. The egg, when it pops out, starts off very small and quickly increases to the appropriate size for the character. If you break out of the egg super fast (easiest to do on slow melee or better yet training mode at 1/4 speed) it interrupts the resize portion of the animation and the character is shrunk because of it.
Also if you have Yoshi in training mode make sure you continue to heal so you break out faster

or if in slow melee add food or tomatoes to cure (it takes longer but if you have Yoshi, Kirby, and any other character you can do it.)

Once they get to small to be attacked you need to get as close as possible and jump so the Yoshi hat Kirby can reach you. Then move the stick fast to break out fast if you mess up you grow back to full size (also if you die or make Kirby loose the hat)*in training mode)

4. IC freeze glitch -- freeze a character and cannot be moved (renders player useless) (except for a punching bag) a lot of players know this

IC glitch freeze --select IC and any other character then get within grabbing range turn and grab at the same time and nana will grab the opponent when she swings the hammer to throw them have Popo do a hammer squall towards the opponent and then hold away. This should freeze the character and cannot be moved except by DI or a throw.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/QuintICFreezefireflower.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/QuintICFreezefireflower3.jpg
5. Peach Saturn Return --once peach pulls a Saturn she can pull the Saturn every time after that

Peach Recall-- peach pulls out a Saturn and gets close to another opponent and throws Saturn at the opponent and re-catches it about 5 times in a row (haven’t done it in a while) then backs up and throws and presses a and Saturn is in her hand again you can back up the entire level (temple) throw it and press a after a certain time and she will re-grab it

One final note for the frozen turnip glitch: it's not specific to turnips, nor is it specific to Peach. I've seen vids where it's happened to ray guns, and have personally seen an occurance with a beam sword.
(Thanks Omnigamer)

(Spaces for Pictures to come)

6. Nana flame thrower -- Nana has an infinite (non-attacking) flame coming out of her

Nana Flame thrower -- pick IC and grab a Fireflower jump and press Z (this transfers the item to the next IC) hold a until Nana begins using the Fireflower then press Down B. and Nana should continue to use the fire flower. However you move.

7. Infinite Superscope -- unlimited superscope ammo

Grab a super scope and fire five short bursts and two fully charged bursts then begin charging again, have some one lightly attack you and you should then have infinite superscope ammo.

8. Hammer taunts-- any move any taunt any stage the hammer taunts (my specialty)

Place hammers on and select young link and anyone have someone hold a hammer and press down then have young link attack with a boomerang the person should be holding the hammer and crouching at the same time then you can tilt into any move as long as you hold down after it you should keep the hammer also if you pause the game switch to holding up and B then un-pause the game you can do all the up b with any character

9. Taunt cancels-- mainly Dr. Mario, Young link, link, samus, pikachu, pichu, yoshi stop their taunt before it is complete without getting hit by anyone

For Dr. Mario, run the edge of a stage and taunt the slide and the balance on the edge animation should cancel the taunt
Young link- throws the boomerang down at an angle
Link-same thing or throw the boomerang out or hold on to a bomb
Samus-Down B then taunt
Pikas and yoshi hold Block and you should stop your taunt before it is through

10. Extended Grapple beam-- grapple beam becomes twice a long and can home-in on characters

There are many ways to do it but the easiest is rapidly tap Z and press up, down, up, down on the control pad (under the stick) this should elongate the beam then you can home in by holding the L button and pressing A then press A again to grab.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/ExtendedBeamBack.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/ExtendedBeamUp.jpg
11. (Not sure if it is a glitch) Jiggs self-destruct-- hold block and shield break (fun to do on underground maze, and WARNING *adventure mode and all-star mid stage

Hold Block and shield break

12. (Not sure either) GW super bucket of doom -- does about 300% damage if done correctly.

Have ness do three PK Flashes into the GW bucket then unload the bucket on a Roy who counters or a character that blocks and send GW and everyone in his path to the edge of the screen

13. Soul Breaker-- mewtwo connects someone to his body
(Also similar to Soul Stunner)

On Battlefield have Mewtwo reflect a red shell 5 times and on the sixth time have bowser fall through the stage and get hit by the 6th forward B he should be stuck to mewtwos body

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/MewtwoGWfreeze.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/MewtwoGWfreeze4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/MewtwoGWFreeze2.jpg
14. Peach Frozen turnip-- **I don’t know how to do this one** (please inform.) a turnip is frozen in the stage can be grabbed and re-thrown but stays in mid air

Not sure but I think you have marth catch a turnip and tip peach at the same time (haven’t done it but have seen it done)

15. Double Barrel cannon Fire--two people shot from the dk barrel (under the stage) at the same time

Have Mario cape the barrel as someone is being shot out of it and he will be sent skywards with them
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/DoubleBarrelCannonFire.jpg
16. Barrel cannon Dyslexia-- (fires backwards) arrow points one way and fires opposite

Same as above but vary the timing and the barrel will shoot them the wrong way
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Reversecannonfire.jpg
17. Link Death throw-- link throws people down through the stage

Refer to link grounded

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/LinkBombandBoomerangacross.jpg
18. Link super jump -- link flies up to the top of the screen and can drop about 5 bombs upon his descent

Throw a boomerang and hookshot the edge of the level have the boomerang hit you and you should be sent skyward

19. Mario infinite third jump wall bounce-- Mario can wall jump after his third jump (takes timing)

On fourside fall into a pit and press up b as you reach the climax of your jump smash the stick in the opposite direction then you should wall jump and have your third jump again

20. Kirby super jump-- Kirby flies so high that he appears as a bubble under the stage (magnifying glass) and stays airborne for over a minute

Have Kirby grab a nana and have popo jump to his death right before she disappears up throw and Kirby will be sent higher then ever if you do it right she will wrap around the stage and appear under it

21. Young link Double edge guard-- link holds on to an invisible edge with his sword and the real edge with his hookshot at the same time

Refer to young link grounded with young link and press up b as you catch the boomerang and you should do an up b while continuing to hold the edge. (Double edge guard)(Can be done with two Y. links at the same time
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/YoungLinkDoubleedgeguard.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/YoungLinkupbhookshot.jpg
22. GW Turtle summon -- the turtle stays attached to GWs hand and even re-spawns with him

Go to mushroom kingdom 2 and stand on the scale that falls jump and back a on the top row and fast fall through the second row of blocks. You should hit the second row and slide to the second block and break through it then the turtle will be stuck to your hand
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/GWTurtleGlitch12.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/GWTurtleGlitch7.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/GWTurtleGlitch13.jpg
23. GW Great fox-- GW can jump through the great fox (triple jump by the lasers)

Go to the lasers and double jump and triple jump through the thinnest part of the ship

24. Fox’s seal/snorlax fall-- fox falls through seal and snorlax in poke floats

Start on seals head and run towards the tail and you should fall through the neck
Similar with snorlax but not common

25. Mario super fireball-- Mario’s fireball does 30% damage with high knock back

Mario super fire ball (this is the way I did it could be done many ways) (I told you it wont be effective in battle but here it goes)
go to fourside with Mario and Zelda stand on the far right edge of the widest building (about where the helicopter takes off and lands) and have Zelda stand on the far right building throw a fireball and have Zelda reflect it (B) then cape it continue until the reflector blows up and Zelda flies off screen. The key is to keep the fire ball in the air the whole time and have as little space between you as possible.

26. Super Wavedash--samus slides across the entire stage (very common)

Have samus do a down b and hold left then right as you hit the stage smash right you should slid the entire length of FD (can also be done vise versa)

27. wavedash-- (debuggers caught it but left it into the game) but a glitch jump down air dodge=slide across the level

Wavedash jump and directly air dodge at an angle to create a sliding motion and the effects of standing still

28. Game freeze-- the game freezes

Go to Kirby’s level with the falling blocks in training mode then build the blocks around you so you are trapped in then item select all red shells and attack them the game should freeze

29. Double and Triple identical colors-- two or three of the same character with the same color (not team battle) fighting against each other with no distinction between each other

(Very hard for three but same procedure) have one character select a character and color then have another character put the cursor over the character and have it on the first color under the desired character then on the first controller deselect the character (keeping the hand icon inside the character picture) and on the second controller change color up one (these need to be done at the exact same time to work) to do three get a song playing on a separate source with a good beat then try the above on the down beats so everyone is in sync. It is very hard but looks very cool

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/TripsLuigibutt.jpg
30. Broken Hookshot-- links hookshot fires halfway and turns around or falls through the level

Have link Do grounded and fire a hook shot towards the great fox it should flail around backwards or fall through the stage
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/BrokenHookshot3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/BrokenHookshot.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/BrokenHookshot2.jpg
31. Mountain Climber-- jump to the top of the mountain in the beginning of adventure mode

Get bunny ears and a big mushroom then double jump wall jump and triple jump to the top of the mountain (some characters are easier then others and don’t require the mushroom)

32. Mountain mover-- fall through the rock at the beginning of adventure mode (link & y. link)

Do the double edge guards trick with y.link or link and you will fall through the mountain

33. Kirby super Suck-- Kirby is stuck in the suck animation. And upon dying kills one player

Do the IC glitch and suck up the frozen person with Kirby he should stay in the suck animation and not be hit, he can not move but be pushed off the level and thus killing Kirby and the frozen character

34. Invincible egg (w/fire optional) -- become an egg that is frozen in mid air and cannot be broken thrown, or altered (can also be seen with Nana flame thrower)

Do the IC freeze glitch and turn the frozen person into an egg with yoshi (can be done to nana with the fire flower glitch to have a frozen airborne flaming egg.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Yoshieggs2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/YoshiEggFlamethrower3.jpg
35. Moonwalking Nana-- Nana slides across the ground with out the movement animation (can also be done backwards)

Have nana hold a fireflower and use it then have popo run backwards and forwards (while keep holding A) and nana will slide with a burning fire flower (that does damage)

36. Luigis Ladder-- luigi continues to rise into the air infinitely

Have two luigis stand near each other and continue to do up b and climb infinitely into the air

37. Peach Bomber—peach continues to wall bomb and does not fall (stalling tactic)

Have peach smash a wall bomb in a pit at foursite and she will continue to float up and stall there.

38. Sheik’s Needle Claws – Keep sheiks needles in her hand AND visible even when you are not charging them

Jump with sheik and begin charging them then L-cancel the landing if it is done correctly the needles will remain in her hand the rest of the fight ( If you turn into Zelda… the needles will stay floating in the air whenever you turn back the needles will reappear in your hand)
(Thanks Cyphus)

39. Samus super-jump/grapple on nothing-- Samus grapples nothing

It's pretty simple. Just grapple to the side of the stage as Samus, and have Mario or Doc go down and cape her. If you cape her while she's still falling from the initial grapple, she'll likely shoot up into the air similar to the Link Super Jump. But if you cape her while she's hanging, she (as well as the point that she grappled) will move down slightly and reverse direction. It can be done repeatedly in one set, but time is limited.
(Thanks Omnigamer)

40. Yo-yo glitch – Ness places an invisible “trap box” on the ground and can attack a character that touches it.

The glitch occurs when you hit with a CHARGED Up Smash (no C-Stick) but only hit your opponent once
Start charging an Up Smash underneath a high percent DK (about 150%) and he will fly up into the air. Releasing the yo-yo simultaneously is not crucial. If DK flies up and doesn’t hit the second hit box...and it was indeed a correctly charged Up Smash...Ness will drop his second hit box onto the ground. This invisible yo-yo hit boxes act as booby traps and last seemingly until touched by an opponent. When an enemy hits your Trap-Box you can do any attack (except for PK moves...May differ by version) and this attack with translate to your Trap-Box.
(Thanks dan Smith)

41. The End of Home Run Contest -- Homerun contests limits

To do this glitch just hit the sandbag (in home run contest) 4600 something ft if you have version 1.0. If you have version 1.1 and higher then you have to hit it 12000 something ft. If you correctly do this glitch then the camera will stop and the sandbag will fall and add ft/m. If you let this happen long enough then the game will eventually freeze.
The HRC glitch does not need AR but it is very hard. There are a few FAQs on gamefaqs about how to hit the sandbag very far. An easy way to make this glitch occur is to be ganon (in home run) grab the bat first, do one Up smash on sandbag , then jump and D air and land on the opposite side you started (facing the sandbag). The next part is hard but this is what to do: jump, drop bat, and D air. Repeat the last step three times and then double jump, throw the bat up, and press B (moving a bit to the start and facing away from sandbag). If you do this correct then the sandbag should have 220-222% and will send the sandbag 4500-4700 ft. This requires no l-cancels and version 1.0 because version 1.1 and higher has a much larger amount of ft/m.
(Thanks Kozzymoto)

42. Maximum Points -- Max points in Classic/Adventure/or All-Star

If you keep shield breaking in classic/adventure/all-star then your score will keep rising until it goes to the maximum number of points you had. This will however keep going until the max but if you press A or START then it should either stop or reach the max instantly (i forgot which ones did which). This only works on 1.0.
(Thanks Kozzymoto)

43. Frying Pan Kirby -- Kirby holds on to a frying pan throughout the entire battle.

Go to mushroom kingdom and select GW and Kirby (and any other two you like) have kriby suck up GWs power and go to the top layer of bricks back roll until you are on the very edge of the top row facing the middle, use the b attack and hold it down you should hear a weird chime, then use b again and it should turn the frying pan gray. At this point taunt and you will be holding on to the pan still then you can use any attack or suck up another power and retain control of the pan.

44. Mewtwo Disable -- Mewtwo sends opponents flying into the air without dying

Have a Mario brother or GW use their up b at the same time mewtwo uses disable (down B) on them they should fly upwards (like links super jump) with little to no damage.
(Thanks Nobie)

45. Grapple/Hookshot nothing -- Y. Link, Link, and Samus grapple and hang on nothing

go to peaches castle and activate a color block (green activates the two on the left side and blue activates the one above the center) wait about 20 seconds then grapple the block it should disappear and you should continue to hang there. Can also be done on Mushroom kingdom stages

46. Announcers Mistake -- Announcer congratulates sheik while zelda does the victory pose

Select zelda as you select the stage hold a (to instantly transform into sheik) then transform back into zelda and win the battle. The announcer should say sheik but show zelda.

47. Free Ganon -- Ganon can go outside his BTT stage

Go to the far left platform and triple jump (aim for second or third spike (the small one) in the horizontal roof) land on a moving platform and tech-roll right. this should put you outside his BTT stage. You can continue to jump on the platforms or jump back into the stage.
(Thanks Mario 64 Master)

48. Invisible Proximity Mines -- Mines disappear

Go to mute city and drop a mine on the moving platform once the platform stops and goes under the stage the mine will disappear and still be active it will also be invisible and active once the platform begins to move.
(Thanks symnzXx)

49. Mewtwo Confusion -- Mewtwo drags an opponent through the stage.

have one character go to the edge of the stage (termia bay, battle field a level with platforms), then have mewtwo jump off the edge and use confusion on the opposite character this should drag them through the platform or level.

50. Mario's Hyper Fireball -- Mario fires a fireball that goes 3 times as fast and long.

Go to yoshi's island (the one with the pipes) and position yourself on slanted pipe (about where the opening is) and launch a fireball, it should travel down the pipe and bounce off the top left corner of the first yellow block (in the middle of the stage) into bottom right corner of the other set of blocks (far right set) bounce again then hit the ground and bounce for a third time up the slanted mountain. If it doesn't work slowly take half a step forward and try again.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Mariohyperfireball2.jpg
51. Electric Ness -- Ness has a casing of electric charge around him

Use ness's up B and have it come back down directly on his head hitting him straight down. he should get up, shake off and still have electricity around him.

52. Bowsers failed down throw -- Bowser does not hurt certain characters with his down throw

Down throw Jiggs, GW or Pichu and they will go through the entire animation but not take any damage.

53. Samus invisible missiles -- Samus shoots invisible missiles

When missile canceled properly samus will shoot an invisible missile that will attack anyone in its trajectory. It can also be reflected.

54. Link bomb rolling -- Links bomb slides across the stage.

Pull a bomb then short hop back and press Z this should "lightly" put the bomb on the ground, and not cause it to explode, then you back up an us down tilt. This should cause the bomb to slide across the level.

55. Fox's super wavedash (very rare) -- fox does a super wavedash

(I haven't done this but this is how to do it from what i understand) As fox is jumping back onto the level have him do the fox illusion. If it is done the right distance and exactly even with the level he should slide across the stage.

56. Blinking Game and Watch -- GW is frozen and blinks

Use Soul Stunner on 2 G&W's, then use Confusion to place them on the exact same spot. They will now blink.
(Thanks Neophos)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/GWblink.jpg
57. Soul Stunner -- Mewtwos Freeze Glitch

Do Soul Breaker (#13), then a down throw on another opponent and they will be stuck like with the IC freeze glitch.
(Thanks Neophos)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/MewtwoGWfreeze4.jpg
58. Going through the floor -- Mewtwo flies through Temple

Go to Hyrule in training mode, set Mewtwo as the opponent, in "Stand" mode. Set him to 999%, and then put him right where he spawns (should be a bit left of the pillar). Now hit him with C. Falcon's up tilt. He will bounce on the pillar, fly back and double jump through the stage. Other attacks that work are Knee, Marth's Shield breaker, Roy's flare blade, Falcon's up air, Ganon's up air.
(Thanks Neophos)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Mewtwojumpthroughthestage2.jpg
59. Ness going through stage -- Ness flies through the stage

Put any stage with a solid ground, then have Ness PK Comet in a 180 degree angle onto the stage just above the ledge, and have a Dr. Mario cape him (Haven't tried with Mario). He will go through the stage and end up hanging on the other ledge.
(Thanks Neophos)

60. Negative Gravity -- Have any character attack while stuck to the ceiling

Use Peach and someone else in training on any level with a solid ceiling, most likely Temple or Great Bay. Set the other player(s) to 999 damage and do Peach's down tilt on them repeatedly below the ceiling, without getting up. On the 8th down tilt, the character will seem to stick to the ceiling instead of bouncing back down.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/NegtiveGravityLink2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Negativegravitylinkhookshot.jpg
61. Negative Gravity Arrow (maybe fireball) -- Arrows are released far beyond the characters head

Do the Negative Gravity on Link or Young Link and fire an arrow. The momentum they have is translated to the arrow, and it comes out above their head (most noticable on Great Bay). Give the character a tiny mushroom before doing Negative Gravity, for even longer duration, and higher arrows.
(Thanks SuperDoodleMan)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/NegativegravitylinkArrow.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/NegativeGravityLink.jpg
62. Fox trot -- Fox runs faster then his normal animation

Smash Foward then go back to neutral and smash foward again. This should cause fox to repeat his initial dash animation (which is faster then his normal run) causing him to run faster then normal. continue across the entire level

63. Item thrown threw stage -- Peach throws a radish (yes it is a japanese radish)

Choose Peach and stand under the awning near the center near the stairs and throw a radish towards the left , it should bounce right before the ledge (where you can fall through to the bottom part of the level) and bounce through the level and appear to the right of the gazebo then disappear.

64. Frozen Bowser -- Bowser is caught under the dock of adventure mode

Choose Bowser in Adventure mode walk to the end of the dock and go under it (where the trophy usually is) then press down b to the left and you should freeze there
(Thanks tenyearwarranty)

65. Random Faces -- Characters pictures do not match the characters

Go to Tournament mode select loser out and whatever you want for the other options. choose Ditto as at least one of your characters (when you are selecting the character hold L and R) and choose any other people to fill in the brackets. Play a few matches and the faces don't match the pictures. ( I found this to only work once or twice per tournament and it mostly happened with Pichus character and yellow roys picture above the percent.) not eaisly reproducable but can be done.
(Thanks GameAngel64)

Tell me suggestions or post what you think :qblock:

Here's a pretty weird glitch I found by accident with a few (blurry) pics. I'm not sure exactly what you have to do to trigger it, since it happened once. I couldn't get it to happen again afterward. Basically, I was playing as Doc, and I was caping a red shell over and over until it broke my shield when I tried to cape it. When I caped it, I ended up with a cape still attached to my arm, even after I got up, and it still stayed there when I caped, attacked with a bunch of different attacks, and even when I died and came back. (I was in training mode, not sure if it'd stay there if I was in regular melee mode). Here are the pictures.

I'm thinking that, when your shield gets broken from the shell, you have to be at a certain point in the cape's animation for it to stay there.

Red Shells seem to cause lots of glitches.

Those pictures are fine too...it's easy to seem what's going on despite the slight blurriness.

I decided to edit my first post instead of posting again. Okay?

The minor bugs I have encountered:

WHOA! I guess Marth doesn't know his own strength...
In HRC with Marth, I got the sandbag's damage up to 30 damage and then smashed him because I was out of time. For some BIZZARRE reason, the noise for 'hitting a high-damaged opponent with a strong move' occured and I sent sandbag over 1500 feet! Sandbag stayed up above the screen for a good 500-700 yards! A new record! I don't know what I did but it happened. Unfortunately I messed up reorganizing my memory cards and OVERWROTE my original. Now Marth only has 800 feet :(

The...phantom(?) Smash
Yesterday I was doing a battle to find that spiney shell thing (meanioned waaaay back in the topic) and I went to smash Peach with the Home run bat. Unfortunately, it seemed to be a phantom hit, though I saw Marth whack her, it only did a little damage and it didn't KO her. Darn it. I smashed her again and it sent her flying away.

Up, up, and away!
Choose Kirby and any character, then go to rainbow cruise. Grab your foe and throw them up (in the boat only) and the screen will shake and you'll be sent flying away as a star. Somebody on Gamefaqs said that iit's the fact that Kirby and his foe hit the ledge up there and go flying away for being up there :/ It's still a glitch ether way.

Uh...you can do that?
One time, I was playing Brinstar Dephs as Pikachu. I like getting stuck on the 'shelves' and then thundering my foes up above. I asigned a LV 9 Kirby as my partner so that I wouldn't lose from lack of points. Well, it just so happens that Kirby kept getting stuck on the ledges with me. At one point, Kirby was frantically trying to get back up on the top of the level. I was thinking "Kirby, you might as well sit down because that dome is in the way and you won't get back." Surpirzingly, he went through the dome and got back up on the ledge. I thought "Hey, you can go through that dome." and went back as well. I don't know if it's meant to be, but I figured it was simuler to the 'Inside the stage' trick that I couldn't manage yesterday.

The frozen Pokeball.
Yesterday, I was trying the 'Inside the stage of brinstar dephs' trick, this pokeball landed on a dome. The way that the stage was positioned, the pokeball was laying on the side of the dome. Well, I figured I would grab it so I jumped up to grab it and everytime I pressed A, Pikachu attacked. The LV 9 Link tried to get it once, then left it alone. When Kraid turned the stage The ball still didn't move even though the dome was right-side-up and the ball was 'stuck' on the left side of the dome. I kept trying to get it and then finally it disappeared and Scizor appeared...as if somebody threw it. (But the flash animation didn't occur) Bizarre...

Hey...wasn't I KO'd?
In Classic mode, I once defeated the Master hand which Peach's aerial attack. After the 'freeze and zoom' effect of killing him, it showed him going away but I fell into the pits as a result of my aerial attack. Yet I didn't lose a life.

Off topic:
And honestly, computers should have their own glitch topic. Hey...can I make one? Anyhow,

BTW, how can you tell what version of SSBM you have?

Uh...JRI3102? You forgot one.

Jigglypuff and The Invisible Explosion.

Go into Training Mode. Choose any stage (Final Destination works best) and choose any character as your opponent. (I chose Mario/Dr.Mario) When the battle begins immediately pause and change the speed to 1/4 the normal speed. Now, get near Mario (or the compu) and pause again. Select as many bob-ombs as you like but DON'T let them spread out. Unpause and use Rest. The results seem to vary for some bizzarre reason. (Even if you choose the same amount of bob-ombs) Here are the different results I've encountered.

(spoilers for those of you who want to see for yourself)
1: An explosion, but no damage to you or the computer. (most likely to happen when the compu is flashing after coming down from the revival table)

2: Just one explosion KOing the computer and not damaging you.

3: Two explosions. The first happens just as you use rest. Mario will scream, but not move. A second scream VERY soon after the first, as a second explosion happens. The second explosion KOs Mario. (with 300 damage)

4: Two explosions. The first just as you use rest on the bombs, KOing Mario but not harming you. The second just before (or just as) his damage percentage 'explodes' (if he wasn't star KO'd) The explosion only does 25 damage and sends you flying a little ways.

5: Two Explosions. The first just after you use rest, KOing Mario and not harming you. After a while, your controller will make a strong vibration as an 'invisible' explosion hits you and sends Jigglypuff flying away on fire. You will always get KO'd and you can't resist it. (no matter HOW hard you try)

6: THREE explosions. You'll see one explosion, but you'll see Mario's HP go up to 150 in the first explosion, and an almost immediate second explosion will make his damage 300. After he flies away, your controller will jerk from a massive invisible explosion and you'll get ether 100 or 150 damage then fly away as a star. (or hit the screen. Jigglypuff does that a lot)
----------------------------------
Alternives I've encountered. These are alternives to the ones I listed above. I figured listing them up there would spoil the fact that each reaction adds on to the last.
Alternive to Number 1: Two explosions. The first not harming you nor Mario. The second as the 'invisible' after-effect explosion. It does 75 damage to you and if you tilt the control stick towards the stage you can get back. These explosions are weird:)

Alternive to # 4: The reverse of number 4, two explosions. The first only does 25 damage to Mario. You'll be hit by the second (invisible) explosion and doing 150 damage to you. You get KO'd.

(I spent 3 hours last night laughing at myself because it was so funny. I know why this happens but I won't get technical since it spoils the magic. I tried many glitches last night but 70 percent of them didn't work. Including the flying G&W trick)

EDIT: OOPS! Sorry for double-posting. I didn't mean to. Sorry :/

Thanks, JRI3102. I had the One Pixel Glitch happen to me (only once) on Adventure Mode while fighting the horde of Yoshis and asked around on here (twice), but nobody knew how it happened. :D

And sorry to burst your bubble, but the following are not glitches:

11. (Not sure if it is a glitch) Jiggs self-destruct - It's her punishment for being, like, the 3rd or so lighest AND most floaty character in the game. That's why you don't see Jigglies overly abuse their shield. (Proof of this is the fact that they didn't remove it in PAL)

12. (Not sure either) GW super bucket of doom - This will work on any high % + knockback projectiles absorbed thrice by the bucket. It's because the bucket will get a projectiile with 3 times the knockback of the attack (not sure, maybe more). Roy's counter multiplies the damage AND knockback of the attack by 1.5, making it even more lethal. When people get thrown across the stage, anyone they hit on their way will get hit. As the bucket attacked (especially of countered by Roy) is so powerful, they'll fly off to their doom as well. I mean, it's fairly easy to actually KO people at high %'s by throwing people at them. -- If you use the same trick (3 PK flashes) but use two Roy's to counter the bucket (have G&W crouch 'til they've both countered if you want G&W to die as well, the game will freeze since the knockback will be so huge. (only in NTSC)

25. Mario super fireball - Most probably not a glitch. Sounds like Zelda's Nayru's Love (the "reflector") also multiplies damage and knockback by some as well as the cape.

36. Luigis Ladder-- Not a glitch, just a neat trick.

37. Peach Bomber-- See above.

I'm sure they didn't intend for the moves to be used that way, but there are no special conditions for usign them that way, you can do it on any stage, etc. Luigi and Peach just have fast enough recovery time after their up + b/forward + b to do the Luigi ladder/infinite Wallbomb.

48. Invisible Proximity Mines -- Not r eally a glitch. Just that the stage moves out of reach along with the mine.

55. Fox's super wavedash (very rare) -- Then it's worst mentioning the Peach super Peach Bomber. Have Peach do the Peach bomber on a slope of some kind. If she hits the ground any time during the initial Peach bomber animation while she's moving forwards, she'll slide along the ground (a much longer distance than she'd travelled had she just Peach bombed in the air).

Something I read in another thread earlier this week: Super dash grab.

Can be done with any character (I don't have my copy at home, so I don't know if it works in PAL), dash, dashattack and immediately hit R (before the hitbox of your dashattack comes out, in other words, before the dashattack can actually hit people). Your character will go through the initial dashattack animation and then go into a dashgrab. It will make the dashgrab longer than normal since the initial dashattack animation is usually very fast and makes you travel a small distance forward.

And sorry to burst your bubble, but the following are not glitches:
You know what? I realized that too. Those aren't glitches at all. That place that somebody listed some time back has a list of movies. The first one has two scenes with Ness. The second one looks kinda funny because if you don't see Ness's PK Flash, you'd think he got KO'd be the splash. Anyhow, those things aren't glitches ether. They're just nifty tricks. Nether is the Pose Canceling. I do that with Pikachu all the time. (and not with the controls he listed)

Man, I have tried almost every single glitch in his list plus more. ([b[80%[/b] of them failed.) Ether I'm doing them wrong, or they've been fixed in my 1-year-old game. (DARN IT!)

THE DIFFERENCE!

Glitches: A simple bug/happening that cannot normally be done in the game. It cannot be done on-cue EVERY single time. Such as the Jigglypuff & The Invisible Explosion I listed in an above post. That's a glitch because what happens varies every time you do it, and it may or may not work.

Tricks: Nifty things that you can do with ether a move, item, or skill. Such as Peach Bomber or Wave Dashing.

A 'Trick':
If you get in a tie with an opponent , you'll enter Super Sudden Death mode. If you hang around for a while, the camera wil zoom out to show bombs falling all accross the top of the stage to KO you.
-That happened to me at Hyrule Temple. I was on the bottom half KOing Link when it happened.

It's already been stated a number of times that the "phanton hit" effect is an inetntional effect that occurs when the hitboxes of an attack barely graze the hitbox of the character.

As for the Kirby uthrow "glitch", it's quite simply is not a glitch. Just on the way down, Kirby can't make it back through the above platforms, and the move ends right there. Both chars have to be popped up, and it's just enough to count as a star KO for both. In your own terms, this would qualify as a "trick".

Same with the end of adventure, where you should die if you finish master hand while off the stage. The programmers specifically removed a certain flag after you deliver the final blow so that you can't die, no matter where you are. As another way to test this for sure, just stand close to the edge with Falco, and deliver the last hit with a shb while making sure you miss the ledge and fall a good distance. My point is that it was intentionally put in there to prevent players from having to restart if something like that did happen.

As for dash-canceled grabs (or dashing jack-grabs as they were originally called), it's just another way to cancel a move. Not anymore of a glitch than shinejumping or L-cancelling.

Now finally, I have some form of a glitch to submit. A long while back, I was fighting my brother's marth as jigglypuff. He countered one of my aerials near the ledge, and I went in the special arc effect that's associated with Marth/Roy's counter. But I still had some jumps left, so I attempted recovering again. He fsmashed, and I was tipped (at this point I had around 60%). However, rather than being knocked back a significant distance, I moved in the same little arc as from counter. I still tried recovering, and he jumped out and spiked me. Yet again, I was knocked in the small arc with little real knockback. This should be reproduceable, and it's just the extension of the trajectory/knockback affect of Marth's counter.

really  ? but that doesnt explain the foward smashes that connect at almost point plank range. how could that have been generally execpted? and that certainly doesnt explain how a charged blast from Samus can become a phantom hit with a dead-on shot.

I'm not exactly disagreeing but I am very much confused.

Wow, didn't realize I made so many typos in my original post >_>

But anyway, as far as Marth's fsmash getting a phantom at close range, I very much doubt that it happens. I, personally, have never seen ot. Only tips. But if they do exist, it's because Marth's sword has multiple hitboxes (4). All that's needed is for one of hitboxes on the sword to graze the hitbox of the character for them to be in the special 3-5 frame "stun" animation which is more than enough time for the attack to finish, not having the remaining hitboxes of the sword connect with the opponent at all.

As far as something to test, someone posted (I believe in this thread) that you can get a phantom every time by simply going to HRC, choosing Ganon, and jumping once with a warlock punch. The sandbag should take half damage, and no knockback.
