That's is entirely possible but I see it restricted in terms of choices, colors, or even characters. In addition, the red, blue, and green palette swaps are there for team battles.

Against my better judgement, I started color palettes on the new SSB4 models. They are a ***** to recolor! They are surprisingly detailed and intricate.

So I decided to take this thread, revive it, and make it truly into something we can be proud of - considering a lot of hard work and talent was put into its creation. Due to the recent shift in the board design, my formatting when all haywire so I am in the middle of redoing EVERYTHING.

However, it is a work in progress and complications arise. Therefore, I am redesigning everything on the front page. For a preview, please check out the Mario section on the OP. If you like it, let me know!

Alright, I have some SSB4 models that I did recolors for. I have some others but I have yet to put them altogether. There are two palettes: an original that are just SSBB's recolors and then an additional two color swaps.

May I ask, though, why Kirby's brown scheme is shown with gray feet? Previous Kirby titles such as Air Ride and Amazing Mirror showed brown Kirby with light orange feet.

I didn't use a source so it was purely asthetics. I can change it though.


I was thinking today on how to make this thread better. How to really make it something to be proud of. So I decided on putting on a contest!! I will be updating the rules for the contest tomorrow. I am still working on the content outline but expect something soon!

I do have a synopsis though. As I mentioned earlier, this is a contest where artists can put forth their best character palette swaps. The contest will be monthly meaning artists have a month to work on a piece. Each month will have a specially selected theme to follow. While I may have individual months for characters, I want to keep them open and fairly free thus allowing for creativity to flow. So expect specific themes.

The first entry to this contest will be longer than usual; spanning from the end of August to the end of September. I will explain the theme in due time.
