Because, according to Sakurai, Wario Land doesn't exist. The fact that this game doesn't have a Wario Land: Shake It stage at the very least is downright criminal.

No The Superfighting Robot?! Come on! They wasted a nice reference right there! Wario's one sucks. Come to think of it, since when Wario farts in Mario/Wario games? Don't recall such thing. Anyways according to Sakurai Samus has jet heels and Zero Mission/ Fusion don't exist, Luigi is a miserable low tier, Ike is OP, nobody likes Fountain of Dreams from Melee and everybody loves Mushroomy Kingdom, Zelda is good as she is now (And I know Nairo exists but still) and that custom moves are broken even though 60% of them are garbage.

I'm really surprised at how much whining there has been over these aliases. This feature didn't have to be in the game at all, and instead of being happy that it is, people are whining that some obscure reference from Paper Mario wasn't included, or that some of the others aren't good enough. It's not really whining. It's just an obviously missed opportunity.. And by the way I definitely wouldn't call Paper Mario's most popular game's most popular segment obscure either.

"Blue Metal Hero" and "The Blue Blur" are both alright. Except when they are next to each other, then the word blue looks trite.

ROB's was somewhat depressing though, especially when you know the rest of the canon. He wanted to prevent the annihilation of his people, but Ganondorf had few qualms about genocide...
