For those that play Naruto SCONR3 and love it, I decided to make a page dedicated to it in the tea room. I hope this is ok w/ the mods.

Nice, I know of a few Smasher in Atlantic North that have picked up the game or have experience with the series. I'll most definitely see about making it to this. I'm supposed to be in Brooklyn this coming weekend, anyway. I brought a Rev3 setup to Keitaro's tournament last sunday, and a number of people showed interest.

I don't need the game.

I just make stuff up on the fly, except this isn't the non-shippuden characters so I'll need to play around with the game at least once.

...this is the most GDLK version of a Naruto fighter since GNT4.

More options while getting up from a knocked down position=win (no more succumbing to wakeup supers if you don't have 75% chakra when you got knocked down.

If you want to tech there's A/B which gains you extra chakra, but leaves you open to easy wake up supers by your opponent.

You can also miss the tech which will leave you open for a free attack while you're grounded, but thank god they lessened the amount of free hits you get on your opponent while he's on the ground...it was ridiculous in the GNTEX series(1-3.) You also have 6 options when you miss a tech:

1+2) At the cost of 75% chakra you can LKnJ (the teleport that doesn't auto attack), or RKnJ the (one one that auto attacks) behind your opponent.

3)NEW! You can also press B while grounded and you'll do a tech crouching sweep that will knock your opponent out of any supers, grab attempts, jabs, etc. It also seems pretty safe on block, not even Gai/Lee (with their frame 6 jabs) can punish this on block. The only thing the sweeps lose to are any aerials, tech jumping attacks, or back Bs (the moves that auto guard the first couple frames then attack afterwards).

4) As you're on the ground, you can push the stick in the direction you want to roll to as well (not the best option...but its there for mixup purposes I suppose.)

5) As you're on the ground don't press anything and just rise...it seems like this option can escape wake up supers easier than in the later incarnations...its like the window to catch people in them are smaller...thus making this a viable get up option.

6) NEW! While in knockdown state, press A. Your character will then rise up and then when you least expect it. Teleport a safe distance away and behind your opponent...for the measly cost of 50% chakra. (AMAZING!)

Just the fact that the okizeme game changed a whole lot, I feel like this game is deeper than just baiting and punishing KnJs. Now even the wake up game has evolved, making the game a hell of a lot more interesting.

Also they seemed to balance alot of chars to make more characters seem viable...even tho it still looks like Kurenai sucks.

TenTen is still meh...but with hard work and a brain she might win.

All in all, I love this game and I have yet to play online since I'm too busy trying to get mad NYC heads into it.

I heard there was an SCONR3 tourney in Rutger's on the 5th of Dec. and heads like Dark Kakashi and Dark Sasuke came thru...and stomped the yard.

Yo, I heard about that tourney. DK and DS got me on AiB, but that kid Jay was hosting it, and he's an *******, so I went to Doom's instead. Which sucks because the midwesters are the hot ****.

Also, D1, please run Brawl. I've been adamant about practicing, so make both happen PLEASE.

Haha thanks again D_K! Gimme when you see the Grand Finals btwn me and BadFish gimme some pointers! I main Kisame and I know you pretty well versed in Kisame and his many matchups.

For all those that didn't check the forum thread, I got 2nd place at the tourney even tho I 2-0'd everyone and 3-0'd my opponent in the Winners Finals. I finally lost my steam in Grand Finals first set was 2-2 and I lost Neji vs. Gaara game down to the final round. 2nd set of Grand Finals I was a tad demoralized but still had fight left in me, lost 3-1 tho ^_^.

All in all, Naruto is amazing and everyone in the North East should step it up and play. Its so **** deep!!! I'm about to full time this sh**! I can't wait for my trip to the MidWest ^_^! 2010 is a new D1!

No problem man. I do main Kisame and I know many of his matchups. I'll give you some pointers, you shouldn't be losing to Badfish. =p

Overall though, nice turnout and hopefully the scene keeps growing over there. I can see you will be doing just fine in tournaments over there.

Can't wait for vids!

Even though I main Kisame, I wanna have a solid 2ndary and not be all over the place...

...I have Shino, Gaara, Oro, Neji, Naruto, and Kiba.

there is a group on AiB where members of the group post things that they think will enhance character's metagames, such as glitches, combo cancel strings, etc, want a link to the group?
