NWC: Gaming Convention May 20-21st

We are still working on getting everything organized. I am also a lazy bum for not getting this all done earlier. This isn't going to look all that great for a while, sorry guys.

Beginning in late 2007 I discovered competitive melee. At first there was a bit of a backlash against this discovery. Everything the competitive players said was contradictory to my own beliefs of the game. Eventually I got over this and began to try to embrace the competitive side of the game. I practiced wave dashing and L cancelling to try to get good. Unfortunately with Brawl around the corner It was hard to stay focused. I eventually gave up trying to get good at melee and decide to wait until brawl came out. Once it came out I joined smashboards in attempt to get good at brawl and compete. Today, I still strive to get good but I have found that the business side of competitive gaming is just as fun as playing. I hope to increase my skills as a TO, host, businessman, and player.

I am Shippo Yuski. Used to have multiple personality awesomeness (or wanted to) so had an evil side named bob. I enjoy being a chibbi demon fox at times but mostly these days i just smash and sometimes take up the BR and show some BKs how its done.

Luigi is my main man! I'm more of a newer player in Super Smash but I'm slowly becoming the greatest player the world has or will ever see! My goal is to be the best Luigi player ever! as I have stated before. Also I'm an avid foos-er and I will defeat any challengers....

Started with melee, now on brawl. when I was on melee, I favored the campaigns as opposed to any competitive brawls. Also the cpu's sucked in melee, so they weren't any fun anyway. I mean, I didn't even use the shield ofr most of the time I owned melee. I got more satisfaction from unlocking every trophy then winning a tough match. That changed with brawl as to the ridiculous amount to unlock in the game. Don't favor any character, don't dislike any characters (even Yoshi when I'm in the right mood). My only strategy is to eliminate the opponents strategy and keep them off guard. It's more fun that way. I still don't compete as hard as others since I play so many different games. Even then, I prefer 4p matches and team matches that change the normal strategies most people have.

Waffle isn't so much as a person as he is a virus infecting MD/VA and a little bit of PA. Becoming an honorary for different crews then leeching the life out of them with constant "That is what she said" jokes. We would do something about this if we didn't enjoy having him around.​

Relm and Xanthos were part of our group before the clan was even formed. The thing is they don't go to HCC anymore and they infrequently show up to tournaments. I could put them as inactive but that would look just as weird since the clan officially was made a few days ago.

@MAV, Bradford is a little far even for some of the PA people.

I havent been smash for that long but I think im pretty darn good. I dont have a main yet but I use ganon and jiggly quite a bit. I never been to a tournament before...but my friends say im good XD.

We could try to set up a weekend training events. So that those of us that go to other schools can still hangout and play with us.

Heya folks, Chris here...though late to the party
I been smashing since the 64 days, where I still like playing Fox, Falcon, and a little Luigi (Shoryuken!!!). Played Melee a bunch when I was younger, but didn't become competetive until Brawl (thank you, metalmonstar >.>.
Maining Snake currently, which is kinda surprising since when I first tried out Snake I didn't really like his playstyle at all, but I got used to playing him over and over again. Marth is a sort of sub-main...spamming aerials for the win! :D
I don't play the game as adamantly or frequently as most of the others in the group, but most of the time if metalmonstar's there I'll be there too.

Zach here (Leno to some). I play at hcc with the rest of these guys. I main Pika and PT, and am getting better with Lucario and Ness. I've only just begun playing competitively this semester at hcc, but i've been smashing since 64. Pika's been my main for forever, and i picked up PT since the dynamics of the character seemed really interesting. I'm a big lover of music and play bass, so if you want to talk about music with me, DO IT! I've not attended a tourny before but look foreward to doing so sometime soon with you guys! As far as sit in restaurants go I can only think of Denny's and maybe buffalo wild wings open past 10. Sheetz and the fast food restaurants on the Dual are open late.
