Crap .

:(

EDIT: Could it be possible if I did my match with someone else earlier (=tomorrow)? I don't expect to get the bye again and I don't want to drop out of the tourney for lame reasons.

EDIT2: ThankNyouOkindlyTZook for basically kicking me out of the tourney (unless I get the bye again which is highly unlikely) because he just had to delay the tournament deadline (in the end, without any benefit whatsoever) meaning I miss my next match because I'm going on a vacation till the 8th of August.
Either way, gl with the tourney everyone.

If you're going to ***** and moan about it, I'll just move the tourney until then, if no one else minds. If you haven't noticed there isn't a huge demand to move this tourney along.

EDIT: Waaaait, you've already completed your matches for Round 2 and the 3rd matches haven't even been posted yet... >.>

I just posted the 3rd matches, for the winner's circle only. When/if the losers finish their matches, I'll update them.

Complete these matches by August 14th.

Somebody used Luvdisc?

obviously I'm kidding, NU has pokes that are way better than Luvdisc, hell Luvdisc is the worst pokemon ever, ANYTHING works better than Luvdisc, seriously.

NU has some good pokes that are useful. Politoed and Medicham are great.
I'm too serious about this aren't I? >_>

I think, if we should start laying some ground rules for tourneys.

1) Maximum of 16 players. Any more and you start getting face ***** with inactive players and such.

2) Seed by time zone. We have players from Australia, don't seed them against someone who's only waking hours are at 10pm-8am Australian time.

3) Ban inactive players from tourneys. We can go back and look at players who were inactive throughout other tourneys and just say "You know what, we're not gonna let you ruin this on."

4) Infract inactive players. If you join a tourney and then just suddenly decide to ignore it, you're doing nothing but hindering the progress of the PC. I say it should be an infractable offense.

5) Don't run tourneys alone. From now on we should run tourneys together, just so there's always at least one active TO.

6) Garchomp is NOT banned

These tournaments fail because of inactive players

Seriously, I cannot fathom how you can enter the 50-post n00b who says "zmg dis iz kul, can i enter" into the tournament and expect them to have any sort of allegiance to the commitment. Ugh, I see it every time.
There needs to be a post limit, at least 300-500 posts to enter.
It annoys me to no end when I see someone with 50 posts being entered, people with VMs disabled (easiest form of communication), or people that don't take it seriously.

Also, if you have to say something like "Zomg I'm entering, but I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks and 3 days after that I go to a funeral and 8 minutes into the funeral, I have to leave to go to the beach, and while I'm there, I'm living in my new house for 6 years without internet."

Seriously, if you have a story like this DO. NOT. ENTER!!!. It's stupid to make a commitment to something that you will OBVIOUSLY have trouble doing.
Make sure your schedule is free before you commit to something.
I'm ready to continue this or start another tournament, but it is VERY irritating to see people just cop out like this.

It happened with my spriting tournament, this board has a serious problem with commitment, and it's preventing us from doing something actually cool with the board.

I personally hate it when people use post count as a measure of intelligence, or in this case, responsibility. Look at me. 3000 posts and a fairly old join date. Does that make me good at Smash? Nope, I suck at Melee ever since Brawl came out, and I hate Brawl. Well, am I good Pokemon? Meh, I'm average.

The point is, post count =! reliability. Perhaps the requirement should be based off of the person's past activity in PC tournaments.

I never once said that post count was a measure of intelligence, so don't put words in my mouth, and of course it is a measure of responsibility and COMMITMENT. The person has been here for a long time, has a greater chance of checking the forums more regularly, and therefore, is a more reliable candidate to compete in a tournament which requires a long-term commitment.

Your logic is flawed as well. And what if someone has never competed in the past PC tournaments? What do we base our decisions off of now? Yeah, didn't think about that.

The truth is, post count shows commitment to the forums, and for every new committed member with 50 posts, there are ten more that make 20 posts then never come back.

Reapers rules seem good, I for one would be happy to help run a tournament as with the time zone seeding don't worry about seeding me as I'm on all the time and don't mind staying up to play a match etc

Pokemon, ITS A COMMITMENT!!!

Serious note: Well I will still be active in this tournament if it stays active, if not then I'd be fine with a new one.

If this tourney stays up I'll be open all days except this weekend.

If not, can we just have a standard tourney? Those things seem to work out best because most of us already have teams for the OU environment and there usually a lot easier to start because of that reason.

In this case we had to make a whole new team for an environment a lot of us aren't used too. Granted it doesn't take long to make a decent team but just to avoid more confused people and chances of inactivity I say we go with a standard tourney.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for some action. WouW is gone right now, which is why I haven't done much yet.

The "intelligence" part was really directed to the general internet, not you.

We don't let them join.

I loved this tourney and I'm now addicted to NU.
Yeah... I haven't played OU in like 2 months.
