one of the responsibilities? what are we the ****in panel for a major company? pretty sure no one is gonna die if a list doesn't come out. then again the constant need for a number to reinforce skill seems to be prevalent in norcal smashers these days. here's ur new list ****ers

zoap: cool guy, gives rides. doesnt go on smashboards much (if he does, not in this thread). probably cares more about the social aspect of smash rather than making it really far in competition. besides, he already posted the top 5 and when zoap posts something srs, he's always right. who needs a 'panel' if u got zoap

falcomist: never seems like he cares much about the ranking. i could be wrong

sheridan: i'd imagine hes probably one of the smartest and most knowledgable panelists, but hes not super active on smashboards or this thread from what ive seen recently. the norcal pr probably isnt a big deal right now cuz it wont be changed much anyway

lunin: legit panelist, probably would be most willing to make a new pr. hes filipino, but he has blond hair, making him a super saiyan

i dont think a new pr will be made any time soon

probably more of a 'Whenever we feel like it!" deal rather than an obligation

If you guys want a ranking, you could start us off by pulling up all the bracket & pool matches played since the last ranking.

justin, just post your list and be done with it, that way the other panelists can agree or disagree on the boards

though with zoap's list, if you go off of genesis for the top few, you should put paul above ss , but either way not the biggest deal

and random post from andre, though some of his assumptions are wrong <3 though andre, play more melee

I dont really think there is a need for a new update the list wont change much,

only change most likely will be Paul ahead of jeff other than that not much else going on it seems to me anyways

and maybe a few changes with 10-15 such as Phil moving up, DP coming down or off

i think it's pretty dumb for norcal not to update this, it really does help a lot with the motivation and getting your area better. it sucks that the reality is that these people really dont care about getting better or anything but from a competitive perspective and for the people who do care i think it's pretty important to have a pr.

I cant be the only one who wishes Melee was as big as other fighting game communities. Genesis was ****ing massive, doesn't anyone else think we could get sponsorships and at least try to get our tournaments as big as SFIV majors for example? If it doesn't work then oh well but to not even try... aright yeah i strayed pretty far from the original topic but i just saw the documentary "I Got Next" (made by ppl from the sf4 community) so i've been thinking about this stuff. our tourneys have the capability of getting 200+ people, but i feel like no one is making an effort to garner interest or anything.

eh this is pretty unorganized and im tired i'll continue this rant later or something

even if the list is only gonna change a little, that's an update

if it's not the same, and probably even if it is the same it should be updated so everyone knows where they stand.....im prolly gonna hear sumthin like "u dont need a number to know how good you are" or sumthin like that.....but the number lets me know where i stand relative to every1 else and blah blah blah

i agree with kira, massive tournies would be amazing

but if the panel doesnt really wanna do rankings anymore, then i guess that constitutes for a new panel or sumthin

the 'legit' reason is probably that it's hard to find time for 5 panelists to be available at the same time, whereas simultaneously they're adamant that all 5 be involved because they know that each panelist brings something important to the discussion (just conjecture on the 'because')

individual panelists shouldn't post their lists in public because it carries a semi-official air that can easily be wrongly interpreted as opposed to a stray list thrown up by yoshilover92 or any non-panelist

edit: also, as always, a bad list is inferior to no list
