Because I wanted to state that I am a chick, because, for some strange reason, it really bugs me when people call me a he, guy, and what not.

Entei, according to Serebii.net, is genderless. Neither female nor male, so I can make Entei whatever I want him to be. ^^

Entei played a fatherly roll because that is what Molly, a little girl who lost her papa, wanted him to do. He abducted Ash's mom to be Molly's "mom."

Yeah, I know too much about Pokemon for my own good. :/
