Did RTB say he had the new 3DS files? The tracks were found in a separate folder on the 3DS in Mewtwo's update. It's possible they won't be used/ the 3DS is getting a unique stage of some sort (though releasing the same DLC stage on both systems is a huge possibility)

As far as I'm aware, the 3DS update hasn't been put out yet, only the Wii U one (which is why everything is Wii U that we've seen so far).

How do you know the 3DS is getting a unique stage?

We don't know if the files were meant to be for Wii U, 3DS or for both. The update files containing the new + updated tracks (including the victory themes) were in a separate folder, unique to the 3DS Smash music folder. We now have confirmation that they will be used in the Wii U version. Well...I guess since there were only two Kirby songs (snd_bgm_F27_AIR_MoriStage_3DS.nus3bank and snd_bgm_T09_SDX_PupupuLand_3DS.nus3bank maybe they are the selection for 3DS?)

This gives me serious hope for Lucas and his different-ish final smash.

Roy having a trophy now makes me cry seeing how he didn't have one in Brawl at all.

Long story short, the update for Smash Wii U that was supposed to come out TOMORROW (same time as Sakruai's event) got uploaded early in Japan. Japanese dataminers got a hold of it and they struck Gold. California Gold Rush be damned.

The Smash Reddit should be able to catch you up to speed. GameXplain also did a video if that helps.

Probably a walk off. That would be a bit disappointing as I would love to see more tournament viable stages, but I'm usually okay with walk offs in general.
