So I just read the list for the European Downloads. Apparently, there is only one game on that entire list. Usually if there are very few downloads on a list, more are announced in a Nintendo Direct according to previous track records. That means it's very likely we will see one directly (pun intended) this week. I will be very shocked if one isn't announced this week.

No one is saying to make her play as Link, and instead to make Zelda playable with her own abilities
She has the Triforce of Wisdom and has a ninja persona, at least something needs to come out of this.
It's not "wanting Zelda playable because female" and more of "wanting the goddamn titular character playable"

This is why I hate "girls in games" arguments. Every single time you find something that says maybe everything isn't completely terrible, it somehow doesn't count.

How does it not count? You play as Link and Zelda and they have different abilities and playstyles.

Freddy is moreso of a villain. And even then that doesn't have a lot of room for an adventure game like the Zelda series where for almost 30 years, the character who's name is in the title has been mostly significantly useless is most regards and even have games where her name is in the title but isn't in the game.

I just want a game for her time to shine, why won't you guys understand that? That's all we want

Actually both of those would work. Especially Metroid as like a puzzle-survivor game.

You saying there's no point, there is a point. Zelda's importance ****s all over Palutena's and the Metroids. She's one part of the Triforce, she has an incredible pool of movesets to have for a game of her own to differentiate from Link's normal playstyle and from her being a Tan Pirate, ninja and Knight in different forms brings out unique game gameplay styles.

I would like them to revisit that idea from Spirit tracks but I'm having a hard time figuring out how Zelda and Link would be different without Zelda just straight up stealling some of Links abilities (i.e. Fire Spell instead of Fire Rod, having the bow while Link doesn't).

Zelda doesn't have a well defined power set, just whatever prevents Ganon from winning instantly.
