nah, the writing challenge starts the 29th and lasts for about 2 months, 250 words of anything concurrent regardless of quality every week

A part of me wants to join in because I've dreamt of having written a series of fantasy novels since I was a kid, but also I haven't actually written since then either. Another part of me says I just like escapism and I actually don't have it in my mind the potential to create a story on my own, not anymore. Back in the day I hardly ever really did. Pages of really childish, terrible jokes and a bunch of fight scenes does not make for a genuine tale.

The chances of any Direct this month looks grim.

But I do think we'll get SOMETHING, big or small, about Smash before E3 because I really doubt an E3 presentation where they also have a lot of other reveals is enough at all to get us all up to pace for the Invitational the same week.

Some interesting things about Colleen Clinkenbeard (English VA of Luffy and Riza Hawkeye) while I was at the convention:

1. Colleen's favorite arc is the Davy Pirates arc. That is because that arc put her in the least amount of wear-out. For every frequent part where Luffy gives his all in his voice, Colleen gets burntout easily especially in later arcs like the Whitebeard War.
2. Colleen wants Luffy to die similarly to Gol D. Roger when the ending of One Piece comes.
3. Colleen does not see the English dub of One Piece catching up to the sub mostly because Funimation wants to slowly dub the DVD release in parts monthly and yearly. She said they could easily dub it and license all the episodes, but purchasing all the available episodes for dubbing is not an affordable option right now. It's a method of dub distribution that she said works so far.
4. Colleen relates to Hana from Wolf Children on an internal level as a character more than Luffy. (She voices Hana in Wolf Children)
5. Colleen prefers the original Fullmetal Alchemist over Brotherhood mostly because she played a bigger role in the anime as a director and voice actor.
6. Colleen has signed autographs on condoms and a car filled with a Riza Hawkeye design.
7. Colleen seems to love My Hero Academia and keeps up with it seasonally.
8. The only time Colleen cried in her dubbing and watching session of One Piece was during the part where the Straw Hats left the Going Merry .

and eh i kinda had the same thought process as well, i mean i do like world building and coming up with theartor plays in my mind but never really placed them down in paper, so i was interested but only wanted to speculate

but really 250 words isn't that much at all, hell i used more words explaining stuff to woomy about her character sheet and i did that in like 10-15 minutes, easy in a week for 8 weeks

and theres no limit to quality so it can really be just absolutely terrible, all that matters is putting thoughts to words, and combining words together to make something, so i decided to join that gauntlet and see what happens, doubt i'll do anything good but still wanna try for trying sakes

To be fair, it'd be a good place to practice if you wished.

The challenge is more about consistency than quality, and the mark is just a weekly word count. Could work on a new concept every week for eight weeks if you want.

eh, a few stuff
like building up some weird fantasy world that i could do
make up like a play theater role play thing like i often like to goof around in and with
or what probs not allowed in this competition, stuff from my nightmares/dreams at night that involve so much blood and gore crap that will break past the SFW bounder and get me infracted for even writing it, so probs not that
anyway i'll just probs think of something random and put it in words -3-

Going to a second anime convention was a fun time. I enjoyed the brief time I had talking to the English VA of Luffy. There was not much to do, so I went ahead interviewed many artists on how they crafted their artstyles in drawing. Definitely learned a lot from interviewing.

On the other hand, I am completely burnt out from attending an anime convention. I barely could try playing Smash competitvely at a casual gaming panel. My arms are nearly dead on the floor. My running train of thought ran away, and I wanna faint.

At the least this small cosplay of Yuri kept me alive and standing:

I mean, in a way, Toy-Con Garage is essentially a big programming tool when you take the time to think about it.

It's not that farfetched to assume people would already get super creative with that stuff.

These are pretty cool. Its crazy how this all comes together and works to form such cool and new ideas for labo. These are going to get even better to see as time goes on!
