In regards to the recent season, can I just say that...

Spoiler: Vol. 5 Spoils

Yang and Weiss reuniting with that hug made me "Awwww" out loud and I felt my heart warm up. I don't think there's any show that has ever given me that feeling genuinely. Playing "Home" in the background was just the right touch.

Seriously, I think that reunion was better than Yang and Ruby's. It did exactly what it needed to do with it being the first time we saw any of the team together since over a season prior.

Favorite things:
1. Character dynamics in general. Great cast.
2. How over the top the combat is. The animation improvements from Volume Three onward helped.
3. The struggling Faunus/Human relations because I'm a sucker for P O L I T I C A L S T R I F E .

Least favorite things:
1. Like, I get that moving from a more slice of life style to a more adventure style was needed because of Volume 3, but man do I miss some of Beacon's side characters. Where is Velvet dammit. She had the coolest weapon and was adorable.
2. I feel like Volume Four kinda added a whole bunch of villains at once so it was harder for them to stick the landing, so to speak. Goes into what I said before about Hazel being wasted potential. Also what even happened to Watts I literally don't remember.
3. I feel like some aspects of the world building in volume four came out of nowhere and could have and should have been introduced earlier.

I haven't even watched Chibi. I only watched like the first 4 episodes. By the time Opo reads this post, he'll probably have watched more RWBY content than me

Also make sure to watch the World of Remnant bits.

I've been watching Chibi when I didn't have time to watch full episodes. Season 2 Episode 10 is where I left off.

Keep finding myself watching the Spyro trailer over and over again. Toys for Bob did a great job with what we've seen. Funny how the guys that many people considered ruined Spyro are bringing everything back in full force.

Finished the finale and now I'm all caught up. This is what happens when I basically have the week off.

All in all I really enjoyed everything and am very excited to see where things go from here.

While on the topic of criticism, I get that the show wanted each of the main 4 to go on their own journey of self discovery so to speak, but I feel the way they did it was maybe a bit TOO jumbled up and lacked proper focus. It still had some great world building and character moments, but having 4 separate stories (arguably more) going on at once is bound to make some things get lost in translation.

Thankfully that isn't going to be a problem going forward, for obvious reasons.

My parents made virgin piña coladas and gave them to me a few times as a kid.

I dunno how it tastes WITH alcohol, but without it the stuff is a nice homemade tropical fruit slushy.
