Item combos in Smash are pretty godlike, sucks when you can do barely do them in Brawl :v

I think I liked the hype period of Brawl more than the game itself lol.

After playing 4 and even Project M, vanilla Brawl feels like I'm playing Sonic Labyrinth.

I agree.
I had fun with Brawl when I just got it. I remember I mained Meta Knight and Pokemon Trainer. when I got it.
Brawl is honestly the only Smash game that aged badly.
Melee, 64 and Smash 4 all aged quite well.
I like Brawl and all, but it is so hard to have fun when you can barely do any combos and a few batch of characters basically outclasses every other character.
At least in Smash 4 it is balanced and there are combos.

...I just noted that you mained Meta Knight in Brawl after all those time.

I actually revisited Brawl not too long ago, and yeah it feels ROUGH to play. It's not bad by any means, but playing Smash 4 for so long really does accentuate just how much slower Brawl is.

... It also reminded me that Falco wasn't hot garbage and Kirby was actually okay.

I still prefer the competitive rule the most. 1v1 , platforms or flat ( FD ), and no items.
But if you want me to do items, yes I will.

As much as I love playing Smash 4, I gotta say I love Melee just as much.

I don't care what anyone says, Adventure Mode was the ****. I use to go on it so many times as if I'm experiencing a new adventure with (you never forget your first VG character) all the time and I loved Fourside, Big Blue, Poke Floats, and Fountain of Dreams.

Melee was also one of my first games, too. I remember having a blast with it the most alongside Ocarina of Time from the Collector's Edition. Man I miss the Gamecube days. I would love to go back to Paper Mario TTYD, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Path of Radiance.

If I had to rank how fun items were in each game, it be like this:

1)Brawl
2)64
3)Melee
4)4

I'm almost tempted to put Melee & 4 in the same rank. Because both of those game have trash items balance. With 4 having too much items that can kill you at low percent & Melee having too much goddamn bombs in crates, capsules, or just bomb-omb in general.

Seriously, it's crazy the number of time I hit a barrel or a capsule that just exploded out of nowhere. That made me not like playing with items very much.

Hey, all this competitive talk made me something that could possibly happen, its basically this, and that's the possibility of the so-called advance techniques for 64 to comeback, and its a rather simple one.

The Melee players basically need to stop asking for the advance techniques that ended up in Melee, that were never supposed to be a part of Smash. I mean having just 1 or 2 advance techniques wouldn't be to bad, since it does remove the base design of having to large a gap between beginning and experienced players, which is what Sakurai wants for Smash's player base.

I remember when I got Brawl; I had conjuntivits and I couldn't go to school for that, but still I went to the mall using shades to get the game.

I played Melee the days prior to train, so when I started Brawl it felt slow af.

However my biggest compaint about the game are the sound effects; in Melee the hits sounded hard and punches really sounded like punches, in Brawl every impact sounds like squishing bugs.

Smash 4 and Melee the worst Smash games? I love the items in Smash 4 a lot more than any other Smash Bros. game, and every game has fine items.

Smash 4 and Melee are a leap better than 64 and Brawl in my opinion.

Smash 4 is my favorite Smash Bros. game by the way.

I hear some pretty cruddy things about working at Gamestop. Don't know how much of it is true though.
