ive been debating if I should even bother telling anyone here anything because I know no one really cares about but but a few days ago, I had a bit of a major breakdown and cut my wrist several times. Now my wrist hurts nonstop and now my shoulder is hurting and im not sure if its connected but I friend said nerve damage can happen. Now I wanna ask, can nerve damage on my wrist affect my shoulder

I'm sorry to hear that happened. I'm hoping you don't hurt yourself like that again, since no one should want to. The shoulder pain could be connected by a nerve reaction as Aurane had mentioned.

I'm not the best at cheering people up or anything, but if you ever feel the need to vent, go ahead and do so.

Okay well first off, you shouldn't be cutting your wrist fam. Because that can cause nerve damage as well as, if not treated, infections. My friend had his hand amputated because of wrist cutting.

As for nerve damage to your shoulder, that could possibly be a nerve reaction. But I'm not a doctor. Give me a few minutes and I'll find out for you if you'd like.

There's a ton of strings on the arm, so nerve damage is possible; but considering is mostly pain it could be an infection.

well see, it healed up but i cant lean on the wrist like I used to because its weak and the shoulder just started hurti g today.

I'd see a doc about the damages, if you can. It's at least plausible, and if it is related you want to get it treated ASAP.

If you do see a doc, you don't have to spread the word. Doc won't, for legal reasons.

Either way it's more important to get it treated than to keep it quiet or grin and bear it. Learned that the hard way over the last two years.

Well, is always good to be sincere, but if your wrist is visibly healed then you can go to get the shoulder checked up at a hospital and keep the true situation just between the doc and you.
The idea is to address the possible nerve damage quickly
