Just call them Saber and ShielderI wonder how the manga will handle these games? Sword & Shield will be awkward names for protagonists, but I guess if they made Lacktwo & Hitetwo/X & Y work... Am betting on one of them having an accent like Sapphire was given.
Based on previous arcs, the Male will have Sobble and the Female will have Scorbunny.
Those legendaries would be much more interesting IMO. Please no "Armored" Evolutions. We don't need another version of Charizard & Mewtwo.
Link won't work, what does it say?https://archive.nyafuu.org/vp/thread/37621165
Possibly real info on the games. My problem is that there isn’t much there compared to past real leaks and the legends make no sense when the logos have wolves in them but feel free to read ignis interested. It’s nothing crazy, but I think this is a lucky gues.
Here is what the link says for those asking. This is it. Believe it now or later.
>Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield
>Region is Great Britain
>Legendary Pokémon are metal snake and wooden horse
>Armored Evolutions
>Armored Charizard, Armored Mewtwo, Armored Flygon, Armored Zeraora...
>Meltan ties into Armored Evolution and Legendary lore
It isn't already? Also if Scorbunny evolves into something that isn't prime furry bait I'll eat my hat.
Look, let's not get that corner of the fandom excited yet.It isn't already?
They already are, fam. They move faster than... than... rabbits.Look, let's not get that corner of the fandom excited yet.
Please.
Well at the very least, the entire city of London is on the map. It’s in the upper part before the league.Aight let's see if anyone else is as ho-hum bout the Pokemon announcement as I am.
*scroll*
...really? I'm the crotchety one? Aight, if I must.
Region looks generic to me. Lots of regional variety as long as all you want is flat green plains, villages on flat green plains, and the one city up top. I've seen the UK thrown around, but unless I see something much more London-y, I ain't feelin it. Just seems bland so far.
Graphics are still looking akin to Gen 6/7, slightly upscaled, much like Go. The style still works, but the lack of polygons is starting to get a little glaring just because it looks like everything's been imported rather than properly reworked. Environments are looking a lot flatter and textures ain't saving em. When they cut to the starter footage and the disclaimer came up "not actual game footage" I was sitting there like "well it ****ing should be."
No real word on mechanics whatsoever, other than gyms are back. It looks like wild battles have returned, and the Go-style capturing is in limbo, which is about what I expected. But if this brings anything new to the table other than that, we ain't had the pleasure.
Final scene with the arena didn't get me near as much as it should. Maybe I'm still holding out for something very Coliseum-y for my big-*** showdowns. Not sure. Things still seem a little too cramped, there's no sense of awe in the architecture - even when there should be. The hillside with the Nazca line images is a prime example; there's a clear sense of scale, but it doesn't really give me any more visual pleasure than the stuff I saw out of Gen 6/7.
Starter designs feel like that meme about copying homework but changing it slightly so the teacher wouldn't know. Specifically, they strike very similar profiles to the Kalos starters, despite being vastly different creatures with varying degrees of differing personalities. Final evolutions are gonna make the difference.
Being cagey about the details doesn't inspire confidence either. Seven minutes is not long enough to satisfy me, and this doesn't even feel like it really tried.
TL;DR: Feels like we're getting a 3DS game on Switch rather than a Switch game on Switch. Won't matter if it plays fun, but it's more of a letdown than I feel it really should be.
Also if Scorbunny evolves into something that isn't prime furry bait I'll eat my hat.
Can't they just...take Mega Lopunny for awhile, or something? They already are, fam. They move faster than... than... rabbits.
Red... I'm sorry...Can't they just...take Mega Lopunny for awhile, or something?
Let the poor bunny be pure for at least a day or twho am I kidding it's already there isn't it.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do that when it is localized. They changed Lacktwo & Hitetwo to Blake & Whitely.Just call them Saber and Shielder
>Mewtwo and Charizard being part of yet another Evolution gimmickHere is what the link says for those asking.
They have two things correct so far, though I wouldn't be surprised if much of this was made up if some of this info was shared among known leakers.
That said, Meltan will definitely have large role in the lore of the region based on that hillside in the trailer, and Mewtwo has another movie coming out this year. It's also known that Game Freak has been wanting to do something with Flygon since ORAS.
Honestly I also don't think the region looks. . .thaaat great actual layout wise, and these are some of my least favorite starters overall with not one of them particularly winning me over (I feel like I'm. . .settling for the chameleon, but the fact that chameleons are my least favorite lizards and this is a particularly unbecoming one says a lot).Aight let's see if anyone else is as ho-hum bout the Pokemon announcement as I am.

Skarmory.I wonder if that 227 jersey number on the player means anything.
National Dex-wise that would be Skarmory and we'll have to wait a while until we know the Galar Dex number
