Competitive Pokémon talk huh? Man, it's been years since I played showdown. I took it quite seriously the year after ORAS, had a group of friends where we would breed and train our Pokémon, it was pretty fun. I loved my Brave Bird, he was so fun to use. I think he got nerfed in gen 7, but I didn't play that gen competitively (Z moves just didn't click with me) so I don't care that much.

It's David Cage's best game but that isn't saying much.
Gameplay wise, it's better than the past ones but narratively? It's just as ****ty if nit more

Becky's pretty messed up so I'll be surprised if she doesn't lose the title before 2019. Apparently her orbital bone could be ****ed and that same injury kept Austin Aries out for about a year.

As for Bryan... I'm unsure of this turn. I think it would've been better if AJ turned, but on the other hand Bryan can be a really good heel and he's been boring as **** this year. I don't think he's wrestling Shane though, especially if the rumors of heel Shane are true.

Overall I'm intrigued about the turn, I'm just annoyed that the two reasons I was kinda looking forward to Survivor Series are gone all because of a botch (thanks Nia) and WWE going for twist endings where they don't belong.

Styles turning heel when he’s this hot probably wouldn’t have worked well, but Bryan was just as bad of a choice (but atleast he was better than Styles). I still see Bryan fighting Shane at Mania, only now the roles I assumed are reversed (for the Best in the World getting to be a hero whom loses)

The best WWE can do with Becky/Charlotte/Ronda in the long term (due to this Nia ****ed up situation) is to have Becky fight and defeat Ronda at WM35, Charlotte wins the Rumble and goes after the Raw Women’s Title (maybe Ember or Ruby), Ronda is humbled by The Man, and Becky/Charlotte bury the hatchet and work on fixing their relationship slowly (like Sasha/Bayley if that **** wasn’t rushed)

As for Nia, apparently a majority of the roster are mad at the situation (most of those wrestlers being from SmackDown, so it’s guaranteed Charlotte is the most pissed)

Powerups that serve only to make the person getting them stronger, be it because of a lack of foreshadowing, not going through any trouble or character development to get the powerup or there being no narritive purpose other than "We need to make this guy look cooler". See Super Saiyan 3 as a good example, Goku just randomly learned it some day offscreen and goes "haha look what I can do". That sucks

I know it somewhat shouldn't be expected but pretty disappointed to NOT see Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in the best Role Playing Game category. I mean you have FF XV last year, so not sure why, maybe its because there's just too many RPGs this year.
At least Octopath Traveler, Ni No Kuni II and Valkyria Chronicles 4 are in the nominations, so it's good lol.

I agree with you on that. I doubt Mew and Mewtwo and other Pokémon not yet shown will look just like Arvalis’ artwork but I do think some inspiration will be taken from it. And yes, Pikachu looks like a plushie. He’s just so cuddly in this movie

He also does great paleo artwork which is another reason why I follow him along with the Pokémon work he does. Joshua Dunlop is also another great artist that does realistic Pokémon.

Super Saiyan 3 - Goku learned it offscreen.
Fusion Dance - Goku learned it offscreen; granted Goten and Trunks have to work at it.
Potential Unleashed - Elder Kai shows up and powers Gohan up, Gohan literally doesn't have to do anything.
Potara Earrings - "Hey, did you know these Earrings we Kais wear can fuse you? It's permanent you know except not really."

That being said, I like all of them anyway, it's not like everything needs to be foreshadowed (because life in general tends to be like that).

Watch Hilda because that's a good show ****ing show. It's pure, it's pretty, it's fun, it presents a not very well-known folklore and it's surprisingly serious in some moments for a kid's cartoon though it never delves into actual "dark" territory like Gravity Falls.

We got those too. It's equality. I still have to finish S3 before worrying about them adding S5.
And if you like B99, watch The Good Place too, it's by the same creator and boy does it get better each season. It's also the only series Netflix releases weekly instead of dumping us with a full season, though season 3's last episode releases this Friday.

Also, the She-Ra remake just came out on Netflix. I haven't watched it yet but I downloaded the first ep to watch it tonight.

Yeah after seeing how much of a meme Roshi v Jiren was I decided against reading the manga
Nothing could top that

But yeah Manga Instinct is pretty silly.

I like super on a very simple level but it's got 3 bajillion issues like almost all of the rest of Dragon ball

Toyotaro was pretty much spinning his wheels and going through the motions during the ToP.

He stopped caring about the story telling, his paneling got way worse and more convoluted, his art declined pretty badly and all his attempts at trying something new for the arc just either fell flat or were nonsensical.

His version of the Goku Black arc had problems but at least his attempts of making it unique didn't completely miss the mark (aside from Trunks having healing abilities that was just weird... Actually Trunks in general was pretty badly treated by Toyotaro).
