If I can get my brother to do this like we do on PS4, I'll have access to a ton of Switch games for free since he buys everything digitally. Might actually use my Switch for more than Xenoblade 2 in that case.

Dunno if people here are following Lets Go Pokemon but Serebii released a news update today after playing the game and it actually sounds kind of promising.

One of the big complaints from before was that you had to have a type advantage to challenge the Gym Leader. I guess that's been addressed or it was miscommunicated, because you only need the type advantage to enter the gym the first time. Any other times, including the time you challenge the leader, you don't need the type advantage. So you can catch that Oddish, use it as the key to open the gym, then throw Oddish in the box and try to Pikachu solo it.

Also your partner Eevee/Pikachu has super inflated stats which (and this is pure speculation) might mean they can't evolve.

Abilities and held items are also gone.

...I don't know if this is a step backwards or not but I'm glad the gym complaint has been addressed.

I thought it was said outright already that pikachu and eevee can’t evolve.

Some are expected to pull out their kids cause of me. Not due to my behavior, but because of something they fear I might be.

Bro, as a teacher who is also a dude, I can totally sympathize with these feelings.

It's totally ****ing stupid that people have these perceptions of dudes who work with kids.

You basically just make your friend's/sibling's Switch your primary console, and your own console a secondary one. The secondary console only allows the user who bought the content to play it, while the primary console allows all users on that console to play the content bought by the account.

Yeah I sincerely wouldn't recommend doing this with anyone you only know online. It's ultimately up to you but it's really meant as a family feature or for people who might own two Switch systems that they keep in two different locations. In my case, my brother doesn't live with me anymore so we can't just play each other's games or share the same consoles anymore, so things like this are a substitute that let's us play each other's digital games despite not living with each other. And for physical games we can just lend them to each other.

Though I might not actually do this with my brother for Switch since he plays handheld quite a lot and only being able to access his games while online could be a problem for him, even if it isn't for me as I barely use handheld and my Switch is always connected online.
