Raimi's first two films are still some of the best superhero movies of them all I think. Tom Holland has potential though. Give an actor the right team, and he'll shine as an even better Peter Parker than he already is.

I think all 3 actors do a good job at being either Spider-Man or Peter Parker. But none of them were perfect at both. Josh Keaton and Chris Barnes are the best performances as Spider-Man, if we're including animation as well though.
Tom Holland already proved he is a great Spiderman. He was very likable in Homecoming and Infinity War and he was never annoying nor boring at all. All scenes with him were enjoyable. I feel like one thing is missing though, he could use more story. I also would like to see him use his powers more, most notably climing through walls more and more awesome spidey sense.

The original Spiderman really portrayed Spiderman as a whole though. It showed his story and his moments, rather than him doing goofy things and fighting the antagonist.

I never really seen the Spiderman cartoons that much and I barely know the games. :p

Richter Joestar and his Stand 「A L U C A R D」could be a reality.
Wouldn't it make more sense to use Trevor? Speaking of Castlevania and Stands, I finally got the compared timeline thing completely figured out. So basically:

Leon - Jonathan
Trevor - Joseph
Christopher - Josuke
Simon - Jotaro
Juste - Jolyne

And then since they all ****ing stopped reproducing we gotta move on to the universe where a cripple becomes Jesus

Richter - Johnny
Julius - Josuke (actually kinda funny because they both have amnesia)

And then Alucard is Giorno because yeah no ****

I am still your friendly neighborhood Spiderman, now with Thunder Armads.
I know I got a Ghost Rider avi for the moment, but don't forget who the biggest Spider-Man Mark of this site is.

Richter Joestar and his Stand 「A L U C A R D」could be a reality.
Time to come up with STANDO names for the assist characters.

Shovel Knight: 「CAN U DIG IT」
Jeff: 「BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE」
Zero: 「MR. ROBOTO」
Alucard: 「MONSTER MASH」
Lyn: 「SWORDS IN THE WIND」
Ashley: 「DON'T BURN THE WITCH」
Bomberman: 「BOMBS OVER BAGHDAD」
Elec Man: 「ELECTRIC RELAXATION」
Hammer Bros: 「HAMMER TO FALL」
Gray Fox: 「FOX IN THE SNOW」
Isaac: 「HANDS ON YOU」
Kat and Ana: 「THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT」
Knuckles: 「THE FIRST PUNCH」 or 「UNKNOWN FROM M.E」
Klap Trap: 「BLACK RIVER SWAMP」
Metroid: 「WE BITE」
Mother Brain: 「INSANE IN THE BRAIN」
Nintendogs: 「WHO LET THE DOGS OUT」
Waluigi: 「PURPLE RAIN」

That's all I got.

Welp, I completed FE12 and I am once again stuck with the same feeling I always get when I finish an RPG. I don't know how to explain it all that well, but I've found myself becoming attached to the characters as if they were my friends, which made the ending feel like a bittersweet farewell. Does anyone else get that kind of feeling, or am I alone on this?

But Homecoming and Venom aren't really related.

I agree Venom looks a lot better though.

Look at this dude, no muscle on it.
Topher Grace was horribly miscast as Venom dude.

But I personally hate it when more modern artist draw Spider-Man too skinny or Venom the size of the Hulk. Spider-Man should be pretty ****ing swole, like John Romita style, and Venom should be even swoler than Spider-Man, but still smaller than Hulk/Juggernaut/Rhino ect. Even Steve Ditko made Spider-Man pretty buff outside of Amazing Fantasy 15.

Ryan Ottley and Ryan Stegman do a good job at Swole Spider-Man.

Tom Holland already proved he is a great Spiderman. He was very likable in Homecoming and Infinity War and he was never annoying nor boring at all. All scenes with him were enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and watch Spectacular Spider-Man. 90's Spider-Man is pretty fun, but it has it's flaws, Chris Barnes still does a good job with it, and there's some memetastic scenes in it too.

That's a 2000 song by Outkast.
And here's said song. Thanks Zinith Zinith

Good night.

Dear Intelligent Systems and Nintendo

When is the next banner where either Zeligus, Legendary Hector or Love Abounds Hector is here?

I love Fire Emblem Heroes and I want to build my new team.

With Love, ShinyLegendary.

Do people really think I view myself as super smart? because i'm not
The size of the brain is inversely proportional to the actual level of intelligence of the subject and/or choices displayed on the meme.

EDIT: Why I explained a damn meme with such detail?

JoJ is pretty interesting so far, kinda saddens me that not too many people are venturing into the manga side of things, 7 and 8 are pretty good. The Part 5 anime looked hopeful and then the character reference sheet came out and oh god why the **** does everyone look off from a high angle? Can't say I'm very confident in it anymore, the best I can say about these adaptations is that at the very least the art style can look better than the original.

Been thinking about redoing this image. I didn't make it, but it certainly needs to be updated.

The only problem is ever since the old bato.to died, so did literally every black-and-white scan that isn't Part 5 and 8. It's gonna be hell tracking some of these down.

Late Part 3 has always been my favorite style of JoJo art. Though I think Part 8 is a step in the right direction following Part 7, which gave some characters more "sameface" than usual. JoJo 8 takes the style of JoJo 7 and refines it a bit more I feel.

Then again, my favorite eras of Akira Toriyama art were the DB Piccolo/Saiyan/Frieza saga style, and the DBZ Cell/Buu saga style being the other favorite. Toriyama's newer art works better for Dragon Quest than it does Dragon Ball. Everyone's more skinny than the chubbier look of early DB.

I've noticed my Switch getting hot quite quickly when playing the likes of Xenoblade 2 and when I was playing the DBFZ beta. Fans get kinda loud too.

I haven't even used my Switch all that much in a while either.
If you were playing in docked mode. Getting hot and fan being loud is actually a super normal thing for Nintendo Switch. It often makes me anxious whenever I put my console into the dock and play games for hours, whenever I take it out man it guess extremely hot.

If you are playing in handheld on the other hand, then yeah, that's not normal.
Guess I'll join the club of "my Switch is dying". First it was the right joy-con stick which does whatever it wants all the time. When playing the DBFZ beta the fans were extremely loud, so I guess it will happen too with other games that require more from the console.
Your Switch, is dying? For me, it's a common sense where techs will start to act weird when time goes on no matter how well you treat your console. Then again I get that these problems are things that man either hard to explain or Nintendo should really pay attention to.
I mean my both left and right joy cons will drift directions, it's really bothersome a lot. Right now in some particular directions it still does and it happens when you flick the joy stick.

I have mentioned it before, if you are playing games in docked mode, fans will get loud so that isn't a problem. In handheld mode it depends.

My Switch's problems are more internal than external. For some reason I get errors frequently, the type of errors that make you restart. One time I finished a playthrough for the day, put it up in sleep mode, and the next thing I saw like an hour later was the screen bright as hell and it saying it needed to restart. I didn't even think you could have errors pop up in mother****ing sleep mode.

That's why I agree that the Switch will eventually get a new model. It's like the Xbox 360 of this gen, which is pretty late into it but it was gonna happen eventually.
Oh, I see, that really shouldn't happen.

And no, this doesn't mean Switch should release a new model, or should I say this isn't relevant that much. What Nintendo needs to do is release free save data backup... not all behind pay wall. So we if our Switch has problems, we can just send it fix and not worrying about the save data.

Pyra's too hot.
Or you happened to have used too many Fire Blades lol.
have i made it clear i really dont like xenoblade 2
"Oh, that's a... darn shame"
I mean yeah, not gonna everyone is gonna like it, but hopefully other similar games like Ys VIII, Shining Resnance Refrain, and Valkyria Chronicles 4 will get you interested into action JRPGs, assuming you aren't disliking the genre as a whole.

Or if I remember correctly you used to mention just don't like the anime style right? If that's the case then yeah, probably games like Final Fantasy, XC1, and XCX are better options to go to.
Wow, a number of people are blindly listening to Marcus Sellars' claims that a more powerful Switch is coming next year.

Before you say blindly, let me tell you that this was the same dude that predicted that Fortnite, Diablo III will come to Switch.

I can understand if this is from sources like 4chan or... SuperMetalDave64... but, yeah, take any rumor with a huge grain of salt.

Regardless of what he's saying, I think one will come next year anyway. 2020 at the latest.
I agree, or at the bare minimum at the holiday of 2019.

I'm not holding my breath.

But if we do, it definitely won't have his claim of 4K resolution.
Indeed, that's never gonna be possible even in 2019 or 2020, but who knows.
That being said, the rest of his claims on Switch 2 sounds super obvious... more RAMs, 128GB, Switch price drop, using Tegra X2 were all a very safe guess.

Speaking of Tegra X2, it's a very good time for Switch to have that in 2019 or 2020 instead of having it in 2017, it's nearly impossible for Switch to have Tegra X2 in 2017 and still keeping it under 300$ price...
The fact of the matter is that the Switch releasing as a mid-gen console (and closer to the launch of Sony and Microsoft's next systems than the release of the current ones) puts it in an awkward position if Nintendo waits until they come up with a full on new system with the next big idea. Third party games are going to want to take full advantage of the new systems and it will become increasingly harder for them to make low-end Switch ports.
That's... totally never going to be the case. I don't get why some will think when Sony and Microsoft releases a more powerful console third parties will instantly ignore Switch. And even if that's somewhat of a case, I personally don't think Switch sales will starting to take the heat. That being said only time will tell.
And don't expect third parties to quickly jump to the new systems when they release it, just look at how PS4 and Xbox One compare to PS3 and Xbox 360. Many were ports and some games were cross gen launch. So third parties will take some time to fully go full on to the nex gen system from Sony and Microsoft.
I prefer the original Sam Raimi trilogy.

Homecoming is fun enough but it definitely feels more kid oriented (or for those who want a generally fun movie with Spider-Man and not much else).

However, I feel the Sam Raimi films have only become more enjoyable to me as I grow older and just have more nuance to them and more to actually talk about and dissect, especially Spider-Man 2.

Homecoming was enjoyable but it kinda bleeds together with the other modern Marvel movies that kinda focus squarely on action and comedy with ultimately simplistic narratives and character motivations that don't do a lot for me other than serve as a decent excuse to munch on popcorn.
I only enjoy the first two original Spidermna films, 3rd one was meh...

As for Homecoming, the only problems is how it skips how Peter got his power and other scenes, but that's understandable.
As for your rest of opinions, not sure where you are coming from lol. I think Homecoming portrays more of Spiderman's Peter side and not Spiderman, which is actually a good thing. And while Vulture is not the best villain I think he's pretty decent.

It's not unfitting, but it's not at that point where you go "yo is this dude into dudes?". Just kinda fits that 90s anime vibe. I think it specifically ended right after Sheer Heart Attack, because I was able to note a lot of changes in artstyle.

Me and a few dudes tried working on making a fan-TRPG with JJBA themes and a big idea we wanted to convey was specific Part art styles in the manga. In Part 1, all if not most of the characters have dark eyebrows, even blondies like Speedwagon and Dio. This isn't a thing in Part 2.

The thing with Part 4 is one of the biggest changes in the history of its run outside of Part 7. As Part 4 went from macho to flamboyant, Part 7 went from barely realistic to straight-up realistic.

I think the study is really fascinating, because really detailed work like Phantom Blood, Fist of the North Star, and Devilman Crybaby was done weekly back in the 80s with so much detail in its artwork, but nowadays things are more simplistic and have lighter tones in linework. I'm really curious as to what made that change occur and how it's the norm when things like that are very possible. Maybe management changes? New deadlines? I got no idea.

Mid Part 4 is pretty good too. I think it fits the image of Josuke's character the best.

True, I have a major issue with the lack of focus on Uncle Ben. I don't give a **** how many other movies told that part of the story, a brief summary at the start to get an idea of who Peter Parker is and why he does what he does is important. And it sure as hell doesn't have a mother****ing thing to do with Tony Stark.

As for Vulture, definitely one of the better versions of that character came from Spider-Man Homecoming. But he's no Green Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock, Kraven, Kingpin, Carnage, Mysterio, Hobgoblin, Tarantula or Sandman.

Electro, Rhino, Scorpion and Shocker aren't too deep either, but are all entertaining.

It's like Mr. Freeze, a character no one cared about until an adaptation came along and made him interesting. In Mr. Freeze's case, the 90's Batman Animated series did a fantastic service to the character. While Spider-Man Homecoming actually did a damn good job making the Vulture of all villains pretty cool.

I agree.

I think the current Part 8 is differentiated by several things. Josuke's sailor hat has decreased in size and is a bit floppier on the edges. Characters, faces, and hair is more rounded than edged, and eyebrows are no longer completely filled in. Instead, they're crosshatched instead of being completely marked black. I don't like it, I'll say that much.

Carnage was in a Spider-Man movie? I've heard of it being in the AS2 game but not in the actual films.

No, I just meant Spider-Man villains in general. Carnage isn't the deepest of them, but he has the cool factor, a reason for doing what he does, and in terms of power, fits being the final boss as much if not more than Venom and the Goblins.

Kraven wasn't in a movie yet either, same with Hobgoblin. I hope he will be, because he's probably the most underrated villain. The Lizard is pretty good too, a nice Jekyll and Hyde style character.

Kingpin's only been used in Daredevil media lately, probably because Spider-Man has more notable villains to work with, and Kingpin messes with them both.

To some extent, actually Tony Stark does have something to do with Peter's motivation, I mean yeah this is once again due to Peter and Spiderman now in MCU so they have to cut the Uncle Ben originality...

I remember during Iron Man 2 Tony Stark saved a kid during the Expo with an Iron Man mask, turns out it was Peter.
What's more wrong about Homecoming is that it screwed up the MCU timeline... saying the movie takes place 8 years after Avengers is not right.

That's what I mean. Tony SHOULDN'T have anything to do with Peter Parker's motivation. It's just something the MCU shoehorned in and I feel like it's a poor decision.

Yeah, tech get old and start failing, but after a year and a half.... I feel is too early. I've had a PS4 for 3 years and I've had zero issues with it, nothing for the controllers or the console itself.

And no, I don't play the Switch docked. Haven't done so since the last time I played Xenoblade 2, back in January. It was going like crazy in portable mode during the DBFZ beta, it was kinda scary.

Either way, I'm going on vacation this whole week, so I won't be on the site at all. Hopefully nothing special happens while I'm gone hahaha.

I like multiple playable characters but Grant is an useless *****
Why is Syfa so ****ing useless
I mean, the NES version nerfed Grant, his attack was THROWING the daggers. Plus he makes platforming easier
Lol Syfa ****s enemies up if you use the subweapons, her ice spell makes sure every enemy dies in 2 hits and the thunder orbs make bosses your *****

I mean, ok, I can see how useful his platforming abilities are but he feels more like a liability when I've grown used to the Belmonts' awkward jumping commitment.
If Syfa depends on subweapons, I'll just replace her the first chance I get, I hate these kinds of characters. I hope Alucard is better.

You sure? She can deal with enemies better than anyone and the lightning spell costs 1 heart to use and sends 3 orbs flying around the screen doing a LOT of damage to bosses. Alucard's uunique stuff is shooting 3 fireballs which only really hurt when upclose and turning into a bat, which while helpful for platforming, ears hearts like nothing else

Prediction for Brave Hector:
Red Armor
Sword Armads: Armads but as a Sword. 20 Mt.
Special: Ignis
A: Distant Counter+(Unit can counterattack regardless of distance. Unit strikes first when in combat. Cannot be inherited.)
B: Vengeful Bold Fighter 3(Unit always has special ready and always doubles. Cannot be inherited.)
C: Spur Res 3

Welp, nevermind, I just read that apparently you can't get all three in one playthrough. Guess I'm stuck with Syfa, I'll see how useful she is.

C: Spur Res 3
