It's interesting how Nintendo makes amazing quality games like Ultimate... but when it comes to anything related to social media or online stuff, they are so hesitant and vague about their features on this that it just makes them look bad.

It seems like a complete 180 from the Wii U era where while the games were still great and they had actual social media features (Miiverse being the most prominent) and the Virtual Console, the Wii U just didn't sell well enough on its own to make much of an impact.

What happened, Nintendo? You're doing so great with the Switch right now except when it comes to online features that it boggles my mind. And yeah: I plan on buying the online service, but only for the ability to be able to actually play Splatoon 2 and Ultimate for the most part and nothing else.

It's because Nintendo is doing well with the Switch that they aren't improving on certain things like online infrastructure. As long as their games hare hyped by the Nintendo community, and as long as they are at least halfway decent, their games and system will sell well and they can let the cash stockpile.

That and they're apparently putting a lot of money into movies and theme parks and stuff but that's not something we're really seeing the results of just yet.

It's far easier and cost effective for them to spend their free time chasing down ROM sites and the like than actually improving their services.

Look, I either play a Lawful Evil Paladin or a Chaotic Good one, your choice but either way, I kill people.

I advice you stick to the alignment of the others, so no party splits, thinks can get kind of hard when you have a Evil team member, on a Good aligned team, or a Good member on a Evil aligned team.

Also, you chose one of the Good aligned Goddesses, so you can't be Evil

I don't like restricting players, but in this case Shishœ I'm going to have to ask you to stick with the alignment of the rest of the party, since this is my first time GMing, and well being able to balance a party with a good and evil alignments, is not easy for inexperienced GMs, from what I've learned.

Switch emulation is progressing at an amazing rate. A bunch of major titles like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and ARMS are finally booting. And usually, these games start rendering accurate graphics within days.

Can't wait for XC2 to progress further, it's the main game I want to emulate.

There's not much difference between getting a game conveniently on your phone or PC or getting a retro console, retro games, and giving money to some shady guy online or at a store.

Hell, with fan translations, emulation is the only way the Americas have been only to play Japan-only games.
Like, people forget that Roy's game is STILL Japan only after all these years.

There's not much difference between getting a game conveniently on your phone or PC or getting a retro console, retro games, and giving money to some shady guy online or at a store.

Realistically, pirates don't have the money to buy a PC with the specs to run these cutting edge emulators, and they won't work on low-end systems until the Switch is on it's way out the door anyway.

Yeah. My only issue with emulating modern games is that the more recent you go, the more finnicky and janky things seem to get. PS3 and XBox 360 is still in development iirc.
