I didn't like Shiny's post originally, but I went back and liked it now. Because ya'll are overreacting.
I'm not seeing anybody that's actually upset they got spoiled here, just a bunch of people getting pre-upset at the possibility someone might get upset.
While I'm not entirely upset myself, I definitely would have preferred to find out about the reveal in the direct myself. I know some people are more upset though, right here in the thread. You must be reading selectively.
That's kinda besides the point though. The bottom line is that it barely takes an iota of effort to spoiler tag a post using the tool that is provided to you for that exact purpose and nothing else.
Using it is common sense and common decency. I shouldn't have to explain this.

It's also common decency not to call someone an idiot (or say they deserve no sympathy when someone else calls them an idiot) for treating this leak like every other leak that's been talked about here.
Tell about what? Even though this might made me look like an idiot, I'm actually curious to know what did I missed lol, I know those were just jokes so I guess let's just let it slide.
I did a joke about how I didn't care about XC2 characters
You replied with "Um, XC2 isn't lame.", phrased as though it were a pedantic correction
I responded with "who's gonna tell him", implying that no, XC2 is lame
Whooosh
This is the best argument I've had on here since I suggested not all Nicki Minaj fans might know who Chun-Li is and someone refuted me by talking about how it's really inspirational that she's in a crowd shot in Ready Player One and got a bunch of likes
So it looks Simon Belmont will be revealed tomorrow, huh? Well, looks like Vergeben was right.
If Simon Belmont is indeed the reveal tomorrow, I'm mainly curious to see if he'll have his red-hair design, his blond-hair design, or both. I like the red-hair one more, but I'm cool with the other too. I also wonder who he will be voiced by, and if he will have full voice-acting (as in, he speaks several sentences and doesn't just speak only through grunts); he apparently had full voice-acting in Castlevania: Judgment, so maybe, they'll have Keith Silverstein reprise the role?
I'm also interested in seeing his moveset. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with that whip!

It'll be blonde barbarian, but not the blonde barbarian everybody thinks it will be. People think it's NES Boxart Simon or PSX Remake Simon, but that neglects the fact that Simon was recently redesigned again by the same artist responsible for the PSX design. It's basically the NES boxart Simon, but with the usual bishie handsome Ayami Kojima face.
Bingo Time
-I decided for 9 slots as the Direct probably will last less than 10 minutes
-I know Ashley didn't deserve this
-These slots were decided before today's leak
-Header inspired on this

Nah, if someone says something knowing that it's gonna annoy people just for some attention, and people call them out on it, they really don't deserve the sympathy. Offering sympathy at that point would be telling them that what they did was OK. It's more constructive to let them know it wasn't OK. Some people just express that sentiment more harshly than others (but ultimately the term "idiot" is pretty tame and a natural reaction to someone acting a bit foolish so I don't know why you would zero in on that of all things).
You didn’t really start the arguement that’s going on right now, you just forgot to put a spoiler tag like a ****ing doofus. You were the match, but Shiny was the bonfire.

What he did was OK. It broke no thread rules, and in fact followed precedent set by other people. Every leak has been talked about here. The thread has literally had leaked info in the title before.
I don't disagree that putting it in a spoiler tag is respectful, but I absolutely disagree that not spoilering it is in any way wrong or worthy of the reaction it got.
Apparently, something got leaked. Luckily, I didn't see what it is yet. So all I have to do is avoid the thread until the Direct. Shouldn't be hard though, considering how absent I am from this thread already.
I'm of the opinion you shouldn't be on the Internet without using extreme caution in the first place if you want to avoid spoilers. But there's no wrong or right opinion on the matter. That said, comments like these:
Were still taking it too far in my eyes. If you have problems with anything in the future, report it to be edited/removed instead of resorting to insults/demands in a manner like this.
Great to know Vergeben will ruin speculation just like Gematsu did.
Whatever, it ain't Decidueye, it ain't Lycanroc and it ain't Mimikyu so time to hop on the Oricorio train
I intend to catch up on lunch break, so that means I get to only wait two hours instead of eight, but it still means I'll avoid the boards until I get to watch it.
Yeah, I'll be missing the Direct live too but I hope that leaving the stream open before it starts and then watching later through there will work as a countermeasure to "Smashboards spoilers" and "Gamexplain uploads the Direct in 10 separate videos and they're all on my feed"
Pyra literally has no chemistry with Rex. Every single one of their """"romantic"""" scenes is beyond forced and cringe-inducing to watch. It's all just very stock harem anime garbage and they have to turn Pyra into a complete dere-dere in order to make those scenes happen. Pyra is at her best when she's not involved with Rex, and Rex is at his best when he's not involved with Pyra (I actually really liked Rex in Chapter 1 - then he meets Pyra and it's mostly downhill from there). But as soon as the writers demand it, Pyra drops being a unique character with her own personality to be nothing more than Rex's mommy gf. And unfortunately that's basically 90% of her screentime.
When I mention about their chemistry, while it's really an opinion thing to talk about this (And I can see there's a lot of rant in your opinion, but still have some good explanation), from what I remember there weren't any real romantic scenes in the main story at all. I can see a lot mention what happened in chapter 7 and that is a good point. Nevertheless, while I think Rex has more bond with Pyra, but I actually now think Rex has more relationship with Mythra as well. And yeah I am somewhat of moving goalpost here, but I also notice how you just completely gloss out Mythra as well since she and Pyra are both relevant in the story, it's just interesting how Rex reacts with Pyra and Mythra. I think Rex just leans even more towards Mythra... in some very odd way... since Mythra gets more roles in later chapter. So not even trying to discuss about if Pyra or Nia has more relationship with Rex if I do say so myself, it's already a bit unfair to compare since both have different portion of roles in the game.
I mean you have a point, but now you saying that Pyra drops being unique character is somewhat wrong, not mention where the hell you got the "mommy gf" which... I don't even... jsut because Pyra doesn't have more relationship with Rex means you need to falsely describe her personality lol.
I can mention some part where Pyra stands out, some are obvious while some were pretty surprising:
- Pyra attacks Malos 1v1 when Rex was bodied by Malos
- Pyra attempts to kill herself when they were getting bashed by Jin.
- Pyra actually do have some thoughts if she's giving Rex trouble and whether it's better to not bother him any more.
And more things to consider about XC2 story:
I just think both Rex and Nia's back story should have shown more, because there's still many question to be ask about them. Just what happened to Rex's parents? Were they escaping from a disaster? Or a war?
Why is Nia the only flesh eater that has two forms and one being her Blade form? (This make Jin's other form even more confusing), and how did Nia's "father" managed to make her turn into a flesh eater?
I think the reason why Rex seems to be forced with Pyra is because she and Mythra often say that Rex is similar to Addam... which I hope we can see if Adam really has any connection with Rex or not.
XC2 has many things that leave me more questions than answers.
It reminds me a lot of Peri from Fire Emblem Fates - Peri forces other characters to bend to her will because her character is so awkward to write for and has so little chemistry with other characters, that it forces the writers to make other characters act OoC in order to give Peri some support conversations. It's the same with Rex and Pyra, but they do it exclusively to each other.
In contrast, Rex's relationship with Nia is far more believable. Firstly, because both of them start off as friends. Their relationship as friends is developed before they start developing Nia's romantic feelings for Rex, because that's how relationships are actually formed. Nobody starts off being in love and goes from there.
Secondly, they just have actual chemistry. Rex and Pyra initiate their bond when Rex dies and has to rely on Pyra to revive him. He has no choice in that, completely removing his agency, and Pyra would have become bonded to any other person in that situation (like, what if Nia ran ahead and touched the Aegis crystal instead? Then it would be NiaxPyra we'd be looking at, lol).
Another great example is how differently Rex treats Pyra keeping secrets to Nia keeping secrets. When Pyra keeps a whole bunch of secrets with few of them having any good reason, Rex constantly defends her with the "leave her alone, she can tell us in her own time" excuse. When Nia keeps ONE secret (her being a Flesh Eater) out of fear that it might make Rex and the others fear and hate her, Rex attempts to scold her for not telling him, literally telling her that it wasn't OK to do that.
Did Rex ever scold Nia? I think I will check the cutscenes to make sure, and... yeah he sort of did in chapter 7 after the battle with Addam's shadow, but I just think that's out of Rex don't understand why Nia didn't say it earlier. And then Morag quickly cuts them off, so yeah XC2 never heavily focus on the relationship on only two characters.
So, yeah, now I take it back Chiko about Pyra, but I think it seems that Rex while does have more bond with Nia, he never really had a true romantic relationship with any character, I think XC2 fairly portrays each main character well, but when it comes to relationship though eh... it's sort of a mixed bag.
And... I also notice some who don't even bother with XC2 story still like your post lol, not being jealous or nitpicking or anything, just something odd to point out.
And you still joke about it? lol No offense, but not a fan on those who joke on something they don't really care, just saying. If that's just your own humor, then I can still take it.
