Ahh, I love bonuses in FEH.
Still dies to my Leon... if he has buffs. Hey, if you can have buffs, I can have buffs too. :p

What is better on Myrrh, Fury 3, Attack / Defense Bond 3 or Distant Counter?
I have all three.

Did I mention Distant Counter? Because that works really well on Myrrh.

I know some people have been interested in my posts regarding emulation, but I also know that my cutting edge rig isn't exactly attainable for most people, and that may cause a misconception that emulating games, especially modern games like PS3 and Wii U games, requires a cutting edge rig.

So here's something interesting. An emulation focused YouTuber I'm subscribed to, called Simply Austin, has put together a budget PC build (under $350, so barely more than a Nintendo Switch) with the objective of making a machine that can play PC games and emulated console games, at a native 1080p resolution, and in the case of emulated games, consistently maintaining a game's original framerate. Additionally, he has set up a frontend API known as LaunchBox, which is essentially a console-like interface (kinda like Steam Big Picture) that can be controlled with your game controller of choice. LaunchBox can be linked to all of your emulators and what not so that you can set up an interface that has all of your games from different emulators grouped up and playable from this one, controller-friendly interface. It also looks pretty stylish, showing you the original boxart and a video preview of each game. He's also set it up that LaunchBox is what boots by default when powering on the machine.

What this means, is that he has essentially built a dedicated gaming machine (that can still boot into Windows if needed) that plays EVERYTHING at a respectable 1080p. Currently, the latest consoles to have at least a respectable amount of their games fully playable are Wii U, PS3, and 3DS. And it's about the price of a Nintendo Switch. So it's more than affordable for the average person, even without specifically saving up for something like this.

Here is the cost breakdown:

https://i.imgur.com/MgwSlUl.png

(image uploader is broken again, nice)

There are also some other optional extras like a SSD for the operating system for another £20, but this image shows the minimum of what you need to buy for something like this. Mostly all used parts, but they're easy to find used parts that can be found from reliable sources, and much of them are in perfect condition.

There are some caveats right now. PS3 and 3DS emulation are still on the rough side. For PS3 in particular, a lot of big first party games aren't running too well even on cutting edge hardware, though a lot of third party games work perfectly even on this system (which is weird, it's usually the other way around in emulation development). This particular rig struggles slightly with Breath of the Wild being emulated at 1080p but works just as it would on an actual Wii U if you dropped it to 720p (which is the native resolution for the game on Wii U anyway).

However, most issues for these modern emulators will be fixed in the future - it's an issue with the software, not this rig, as these emulators are still under active development (though Wii U emulation is really in a good spot anyway). Additionally, this isn't a one and done project, so Austin will be experimenting further to further optimise the price/performance ratio, squeezing as much power as possible in there while also keeping the machine as compact and "console-like" as possible in it's form factor. All while keeping inside that Nintendo Switch-esque budget.

I think this is a really nice project since it demonstrates how easy it is to get true gaming PC under a budget. It may not be cutting edge, it may not be playing every game at 4K 60FPS, but it still outperforms consoles in regards to modern games that release on PC, and for emulated games, it often still outperforms the consoles and can enhance those games to feel more like modern experiences, such as running HD texture packs in Dolphin for Gamecube and Wii games.

Here is the actual video. It's 50 minutes long, but it's well worth watching.

Walhart's GHB was kinda sad, you can just ORKO most of his units in Infernal so the map just ends up being "can you kill enough units before they overnumber you?"

The answer is yes
@Ivander @Shishœ

So there's been a lot of exciting announcements that came out of the Fate/Grand Order 3rd Anniversary Event in Japan.

First up, Caster Scathach, or Scathach=Skadi as she is called, is the feature servant for the anniversary event, and it turns out she's an extremely good Caster. She's basically the Merlin for Quick-cards. Yep, Quick-based servants are finally getting the love and attention they deserve (just imagine using two Skadis and one Scathach/Rider Kintoki/Jack the Ripper/Achilles/any other strong Quick NP servant; ooo boy, that'll pack a punch!). It also means the holy trinity of support-based Casters based on the cards has finally been complete. The memes that emerged from this news has lead to funny memes such as this one:

Second, OG Saber finally gets a buff: her Instinct skill boosts her NP charge by 30% at most in addition to giving her critical stars! This calls for a fitting meme (also from the Fate/GO reddit):

Next, the 3rd Anniversary also allows you to half the normal amount of Paid Saint Quartz for your guaranteed 5-star summon. In other words, the special gacha is cheaper!

All these updates won't happen in the international servers until Fate/GO has its third anniversary there, but it's something to look forward to!

Oh wait, I'm forgetting the most important news that came out the 3rd Anniversary Event:

The Camelot Singularity is getting a movie that will be animated by Production I.G., and the Babylonia Singularity is getting a TV anime series done by Cloverwork (A1 Pictures)!

Both release in 2019, and they showed this teaser reveal for the two of them:

In addition, the Babylonia Singularity TV adaptation got an additional teaser. You can view it below:

There was a problem fetching the tweet

We should be getting the Babylonia Singularity by the end of this year in NA, so that should give us a decent gap between that and the anime adaptation that will eventually release.

It's nice to see the Camelot Singularity is getting even more love! This isn't the first time it had a special media-based adaptation. Apparently, there was an actual stage play in Japan that featured that very Singularity a year ago. Remember this particular Ozymandias video I showed you two when Ozy's banner first released in NA a month ago? I later learned that this video comes from that very stage play!

Admittedly, I haven't seen the stage play yet since it's tough to find a video of it online, but if it does pop up, I might check it out sometime (I heard it cuts out several characters from the story though, so that's kinda a banner). That aside, I definitely want to watch that movie release when it comes out, as well as that Babylonia TV anime adaptation. I've heard Babylonia's story is also one of the highlights in Fate/Grand Order, and since it's getting that adaptation, I think it shows how beloved it was by the Japanese players.

To do the maths:
- Chill Def triggers, knocking your Grima down to 33 Def. Steady Breath brings it back up to 37.
- Leon gets Hone Atk 3 and Spur Atk 4 (Spur Atk 3 on C, plus Spur Atk 1 on S) from two dancers, for a total of +12 Atk, plus Death Blow, bringing him to a total of 67 Atk, which is doubled thanks to the Brave Bow.
- 67 Atk - 37 Def = 30x2 damage, which kills Grima before he has a chance to counter.

It's not surprising that the Dragon Emblem main would talk good things about Dragon Emblems. :p
Not surprising I'd be right, either. :awesome:

On the topic of Hogwarts and its houses:

This was announced today.

So who's buying?
I just payed like 500 bucks setting up a fishtank and I'm still curious who actually answers because if it's one type of hobbyist that's got money to burn it's LEGO fans, LOL.

I mean I think LEGO sets look awesome, but I mean

*clicks link*

*Set is $400*

Yeah, that's why I don't even consider collecting LEGOs, LOL

I have now beaten all of my main party's stories in Octopath
Spoilers for Therion, Cyrus, Olberic and Primrose
In terms of their stories
Olberic>Therion>Cyrus>Primrose

Character
Therion>Olberic>Cyrus>Primrose

Final boss
Therion>Primrose>Cyrus>Olberic

Olberic is by far the most engaging and interesting story of all the travelers, it starts strong and keeps going with no breaks. Some may call it "vanilla" but it was exactly what I wanted from an RPG. It helps his chapters seem to be the only one that breaks with the game's own formula with preset fights(Therion has some preset encounters too though), his Ch2 being a Boss Gauntlet rather than a dungeon, his duel with Erhardt at the end of Ch3 and Ch4 managing to be one of the best chapters period(I felt like the others last chapters were pretty short tbh).
His whole story just felt really nice and I'm glad they gave him such a strong supporting character in Erhardt while still not overshadowing him(*cough*Leon*cough*), the direction they went with Erhardt also felt unique though I still don't fully understand how Olberic forgave him so easily. Unfortunately, his last boss is by far the weakest, not only is the fight pretty simple, you only meet him in the middle of Ch4, while both of Cyrus and Therion's were estabilished characters as soon as Ch1 and while Primrose's is introduced in Ch3, he still had a strong enough personal connection to her.
Still, it's by far the best story but I guess I'm just a sucker for his tropes.

Therion's is an interesting one because it's much more about his own development and the theme of trust than anything else, the Dragonstones are just an excuse for him to go out there. Regardless, it works greatly, not only did I love him immediatelly, but his character development was great, especially seeing how BADLY he had been betrayed in the past so I was really happy to see him grow to be able to trust others. His final boss is the best imo due to how the game sets up Darius, in the first chapter, I thought he had just died before the game's events but chapter 2 started to hint at something else before revealing the truth in ch3. As someone who values trust so much, I was heartbroken to see that, and Darius GLOATING about it didn't help, I wanted not only to kick his ass but to make my poor boy stop suffering. Darius was built up since Therion's story began and it paid off wonderfully, the battle dialogue was the icing on the cake.

I'll talk more about Cyrus's and Primrose's stories later but I'll say Cyrus has my favorite mechanical boss overall in his last chapter.

I also just unlocked my first secret job and holy **** **** that boss. It's the one with the multiple weapons btw.

I imagine when I beat the stories for Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn and Cyrus that the game will be much harder when I go through with H’aanit, Therion, Tressa and Ophilia.

I'd just recommend blitzing the stories you don't particularly care about with 3 from your main team + the obligatory dead weight and just murder everything.
I'm just gonna do that because I can't be bothered to learn a new team strategy and the only reason I'm even doing the others is because I need them finished for the postgame(except H'aanit, I'm genuinely interested in her story)

I think you will love Camelot, especially with the way they allude to the Arthurian legends and the character interactions that take place (among them, if you like Bedivere, you'll probably love him by the end of the story, because his entire character arc in this story was fantastic). It also features many servants that I think you will really like, and Mash gets some great character development too.

I think you'll like the Summer Event's story too, especially with its numerous humorous moments like this one:

This scene happens early into the Summer Event story, and he's talking to Diarmuid here. It's quite funny considering how it's referencing to the bad blood that eventually developed between Diarmuid and his liege (although here in this scene, Fionn eventually reveals he was only joking around with that statement).

Yep, several male servants do play a role in the summer event in addition to the female servants that got summer variants: Cu Chulainn, Fionn, Diarmuid, Karna, Blackbeard, and Sasaki Kojiro in particular. They don't get any summer costumes (shame, I know), but I guess they were chosen because they got the manservice appeal going for them with the way they show off their muscular bodies (and even the Ascension forms those male servants don are the ones that show the most skin/muscle).

That scene with Fionn wasn't the only humorous one I remember: there were also some memorable moments like Cu teaching Tamamo, Marie, and Mash how to fish, Mary Read tricking Blackbeard, Altria being a total diplomat with her "I'm fine with everything" in every scene before you have to decide which path you want to take in building your island, Altria and Mordred in the smash-the-watermelon competition, and some others I'm forgetting.

If being dehydrated gave me super powers I’d be indestructible
drink water please

Dehydration can lead to many things, two of which are cramps and constipation. You don’t have to be an athlete to get muscle cramps. Those who are minimally active and drink insufficient fluids are equally prone to cramps. Dehydration causes hypersensitivity and involuntary contraction of muscles. For constipation, after food is eaten, it is broken down in the small intestine and the non-essential portion of the food gets converted to ****. Dehydration causes the intestinal cells to extract water from the **** in the intestines, causing the **** to become hard, leading to constipation.
