FNAF is kind of like Geno...

Except they are murdered children instead of a star spirit

And they kill people instead of save the world

No guys what you are on about Geno and FNAF are exactly the same.
They're both highly requested as Smash Characters but will never be one.

I'd like to see an Indie Game character like FNAF get into the same game as Nintendo Classic/ characters like Mario, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear and Pikmin

Metroid is my favorite character

Ok, time to look back and see what was posted while I was asleep!
*****ing stripper talk which is absolutely not PG-13 and getting mad at the horny child when you're blatantly inviting him to the conversation by revolving the topic about strippers in the first place*
*sees someone compliment a guy who got so goddamn angry at me for saying Other M sucked that they shrieked at me on Discord DMs*
This is fine

Just came back from the Attack on Titan Season 2 Compilation movie, which then showed the first episode of Season 3 after the movie finished, at a local theater.

Fun stuff! The theater was a near full-house, and the audience as quite diverse too! I even saw some older adults as I walked up to my seat. Having such a large audience made the watching experience quite fun:

Like hearing the audience laugh from the "Gotta marry her" scene and Eren punching Reiner with the stubs of his arms, as well as some cheers in some of the Mikasa scenes.

Obviously, the 12-episode run was the better way to experience Season 2, especially since the movie cut out some character-fleshing out scenes and removed some great music that added to certain scenes when it first aired on TV, but for a movie that shows the highlights of Season 2, it does it's job.

And now for the real reason I showed up to the movie theater: to see the first episode of Season 3 in theaters before it aired worldwide on July 22! I'd figure I'd jot give my thoughts on it. It was a solid start!

The opening scene began with Eren, with longer hair, looking out at something and noting something about what he thought the world would look like and the enemies he'd face upon going beyond the walls. From the way this scene is portrayed, it takes place in the future. Kinda reminds me of what Steins; Gate 0 did for its first episode where it shows a scene that's well into the future, or rather, something that will happen later into the show to build hype for what's to come. As a manga reader, I recognized what that scene was, and it convinced me that we are indeed getting 24 episodes.

It's the scene where Eren and the others reach the ocean for the first time, which happens in the end of the Return to Shingashina Arc. The speech Eren makes is practically word from word from what he tells Armin in that scene.

I liked how the scene was framed this early into Season 3. It does not show the ocean at all, nor does it show who is with Eren when he makes that speech. It's a nice way of not spoiling the beautiful sight Eren is looking at, and it also avoids spoiling who is left of the Survey Corps by the time they reach the ocean.

We then cut to a humorous scene of the new Squad Levi consisting of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Sasha, and Historia staying at a cabin out in the wilderness. It was quite a nice scene for character interactions.
  • Eren is panicking and telling the others to get to work on cleaning the cabin, or else Levi will be quite unhappy when he comes back (since Eren knows how much of a clean freak Levi was ever since he was assigned to the initial Levi squad). Jean retorts by saying, "Are you my mother or something?" Obviously, he doesn't know what Eren's been through regarding cleaning under Levi's rules, so that's why him and the others brush it aside. Oh, how little do they know...
  • There's a funny scene that made the audience laugh where Sasha steals a piece of bread and hides it in her and Armin and asks what she stole, but she says, "Definitely not a piece of bread" with a humorous look on her face.
  • Mikasa returns from the cabin with the others asking what she was doing, and she tells them she was chopping wood to stay in shape. Jean, Connie, and Eren all comment how she shouldn't really be doing those things since she is still recovering from her rib injuries at the end of Season 2.
  • As Historia watches all the bickering, Levi then returns with Eren developing a "Oh crap" face as the former proceeds to swipe the underside of the table; Levi learns that it is not clean, and he tells the group "You all had enough time to clean it up." Eren facepalms, with Sasha making a funny face in the background over the others confronting her over her earlier incident.
Levi then tells the others it is time for Eren to begin the Titan Shifting experiments with Hange. The episode now cuts to Titan Eren roaring, but the Titan is visibly gaunt and collapses into the ground while burying its head from the weight. Hange tells Eren to try to stand up, but Levi points out how thin and muscleless Eren's Titan form has become over the many transformations he had to go through in one go. He also points out that Eren's Titan form is currently lower than 10m instead of his usual 15m, and that Titan Eren's lower body became so thin, "His butt is just sticking out." The audience had a good laugh when Levi made that particular comment, and I did too; it was a funny comment. Hange then tries to rip Eren out of the nape of his Titan form, but Mikasa is worried and telling her to be careful. As Hange rips Eren out, Eren's face is visibly mangled and practically merged with the Titan to the point his face is nearly a skeleton with no visible eyes; Hange screams from shock but also excitement on some new discovery. The audience had a good laugh at that scream as well as a big gasp seeing Eren's mangled face. In the distance, two suspicious figures watch the forest from where Levi's group are at.

Everyone heads back inside the cabin, save for Hange and her squad. Connie comments about how he wants to fight the Beast Titan after what it has done (a.k.a. transforming Connie's entire family, as well as everyone from his home village, into Titans). Historia comments how nice it is that everyone has their goals and aspirations that they will achieve in the long run, but she lost all motivation in life ever since Ymir left with Reiner and Bertolt. She tells Eren that this is her true self: an empty, hollow, and pathetic shell. Eren tells her that he sees her differently now: a perfectly normal person. He previously wasn't a fan of the old Historia (a.k.a. Krista Lenz) because the whole "goddess" persona of doing kind acts nonstop always made her look fake in his eyes. Now that Historia is finally honest with herself, Eren sees her much differently and thinks of her better. This scene was quite nice: it does a nice job establishing the friendly dynamic Eren and Historia will develop over the course of the Season; it's even one of my favorite relationships in the series for that matter!

There is a brief scene where Pastor Nick is sitting in his room alone only to hear a knock out a door. A short while later, we learn that Nick has been murdered. Hange and Moblit had to the murder scene to investigate, but they are stopped by two interior MP members: Djel Sannes and his assistant Ralph. Djel tells them to move along, noting that it was just an average murder, but Hange doesn't take it lightly; she starts asking questions about the murder. Getting annoyed, He grabs Hange by the jacket and asks her about her rank, but Moblit intervenes and tells him the positions of himself and his superior. Djel releases Hange and notes the Survey Corps are "nothing" compared to the Interior Military Police that "get most of the work done" (oh how wrong you are Djel). Hange continues along with her part, noting that Nick was a friend of hers but still finds it odd for him to be murdered. She also notes that all of Nick's fingernails were ripped off, which implies he was tortured to death. She then shakes Djel's hands and holds it up, making a comment about how someone could've tortured Nick to death. You can see bruises on Djel's knuckles when she does this. Shortly after, Hange and Moblit walk away, and we learn about Djel and his subordinate from her. As it turns out, Nick was indeed tortured to death, and Djel and Ralph were responsible. There's a single clip that shows the two interior MP members brutally torturing Nick, with Djel punching Nick while Ralph rips out Nick's teeth. This scene makes me look forward to seeing Djel and Ralph getting tortured, especially since Hange turned into her scary self when she gave them that warning.

Back at the cabin, Hange's squad arrives. They inform everyone inside that they need to pronto because the Military Police are coming. Moreover, the government has ordered that the Survey Corps cannot carry any expeditions, and they are disbanded. Hange also tells them Erwin was arrested a short while ago. Uh-oh, things aren't looking good. Our heroes do manage to get out of the cabin in time before the Military Police arrive. Did I mention that about 20 MP members arrived at the cabin that night in an attempt to arrest them? Yep, that's true. The audience had a "Oh snap" reaction seeing that. On the cliff overlooking the cabin where the SC group has escaped too, Levi notes it's suspicious the government is after them. He suspects there is a specific individual hunting them down, and it could be that they are after Eren and Historia. As Hange prepares to depart, Eren gives her a letter describing a conversation between Ymir and Bertolt that he previously recalled earlier into the episode. What could this conversation be? Obviously, it's something important if he wants Hange to read about it. The scene ends with the same two suspicious figures from before, now confirmed to be a woman and man, talking with each other about Levi. The mystery intensifies...

Levi then orders the group to prepare to head to the capital for the next day, where they will carry out an operation that will involve escorting Eren and Historia safely while using Jean and Armin as decoys of these two respectively. The morning the next day, we see Levi and the others walking through the capital streets wearing hoods. Levi tells them that it'd be better to avoid walking in a cluster to avoid suspicion. Sasha and Connie note about how the District is celebrating King Fritz's coronation, as there are festive flags dotted throughout the streets. The King is even giving out rations to many people for this special day to.

And speak of the King, we see him for the first time alongside a few nobles that serve him. They all discuss the strategy of the rations, with one figure seemingly discussing the most about it: the noble Rod Reiss. This same man is also the father of Historia Reiss, who is an illegitimate daughter of her according to the backstory she told to her friends and some of her superiors. Rod Reiss's face is notably shadowed too. Seems like he'll be important in this arc.

Jean and Armin are captured by a fast-moving carriage. Just as Sasha is about to scream out their names, Connie reminds them of their disguises, so she quickly addresses them as "Eren and Historia have been captured." The scene then flashes to show Armin and Jean, both in their disguises, chained to chairs while facing each other as a creepy man starts grabbing Armin in an uncomfortable way to the point the latter is crying from anxiety. The music that was playing made the scene feel more light-hearted than it should be, with the audience even laughing at what was going on despite the manga depicting that same scene in a darker way. Jean also had a funny moment during it when he comments how he didn't want to do it for a second time, especially since his Eren disguise doesn't really work the way it should.

Dimo Reeves, the bald guy that was blocking the Wall Gate in that Season 1 episode, and three other men arrive into the shed to take everything over from there, with one of the men noting how their security guard was strangely missing. This eventually leads to an awesome action sequence where Mikasa jumps through the window and takes out two of the men just by throwing at them. There's some nice teamworks and tactics going on with Mikasa and Connie communicating with each other, and Sasha getting a badass arrow snipe on Dimo's gun just as he is about to shoot himself. Just prior to this scene, Mikasa expressed her pity over what Armin had to go through and asked Levi if his ankle has recovered (to which he says it has). Good to see Mikasa is looking out for her comrades' wellbeing.

While this is going on, Eren and history are being escorted in a concealed carriage piloted by Keiji wearing a hood. The carriage reaches a road block because of a passing crowd. Levi, Nifa, and Abel (a.k.a. Goggles-kun) are observing from the roofs to make sure the carriage safely reaches its destination. Levi and Nifa talk about "Kenny the Ripper," an infamous serial killer who killed roughly 100 MP members during his lifetime. Levi mentions that he grew up with Kenny, and Nifa is shocked by this and notes that it's odd for him to bring it up so casually. After the two continue their casual dialogue, Levi has a monologue where he notes about the carriage's condition and the possibility of someone following it and using the crowd as an interception. While the monologue is going, a figure in a hat wielding two guns climbs a roof from behind. Levi notices and screams "Nifa!" and then

"BOOM!" "BOOM!"

Two gunshots are fired from the figure, one of which hits Nifa and exploders her entire head! Levi quickly moves out. Another soldier then sneaks up on a shocked Abel, who was looking at Nifa's dead body from the distance, and shoots half of his head off: this causes Abel to fall from the roof and land near a a woman and her daughter who were shocked by the sudden gunshots: a chilling scene follows that shows Abel's mangled head and his shattered glasses with the girl screaming in horror.

Wow, talk about a dramatic entrance, and it only gets even more intense! Hundreds of MP members suddenly emerge from the streets from below, and another MP member has started chasing a SC member through the streets in a high speed 3DMG maneuver battle! The hatted figure then walks up to Levi while loading some new ammo and saying, "Yo Levi, have you grown yet?" He then jumps up using his unique take on the 3DMG and fires several bullets while saying "BANG BANG!" This guy has quite the cowboy personality! He notes how Levi "still hasn't grown up yet." Levi then pulls out his swords, preparing for a duel, while screaming "KENNYYYYYY!!!" The episode ends right there. Damn, what an explosive way to end the episode!

This was a solid first episode of the season. In terms of the action and animation department, it definitely delivered. It also some nice character interaction moments: Hange's grim warning, the whole cabin scene in the beginning, Eren and Historia's dialogue, and Mikasa and Levi's brief dialogue being some of my favorites. The pacing was fast too. The episode really kept you engaged throughout it in a nice way! It had a great opening and an explosive, suspenseful ending. Said ending did a great job introducing a major villain for this coming arc (and said villain is also one of my favorite AoT characters).

I will admit the manga reader part of me also had some qualms of this episode: namely, the fact this episode took several scenes from the first seven to eight chapters of this arc to make the first episode. Isayama has previously stated that he wanted to make several changes to this arc for Season 3 because of its initial reception when it was first released in the manga, and I could see why. It's clear there are bound to be some changes as to how some sequence of events will play out. For instance:

Levi and Dimo made their agreement before Kenny arrived and killed most of Hange's squad. In the anime, this agreement doesn't seem to have happened yet.

Moreover, Kenny and his squad's first battle with the Survey Corps originally happened after Eren and Historia were captured. Here, this battle is looking to take place before the capture.

At this rate, I can imagine, some scenes will need to be told in some flashbacks through a "____ hours earlier" to refer back to something that previously happened that episode 1 skipped over. I think most flashbacks in AoT have been implemented well so far though, so I have hope the anime will still pull it off well. I already have one prediction about one scene notably absent from the first episode that I think will come back in a fitting way for Season 3:

In this first episode, Levi talks about how Historia told him and the others that she is the illegitimate daughter of the noble Rod Reiss. There is a brief clip of her explaining this to them, but no flashback is shown. When the manga was at this point, we learned Historia's backstory in a flashback around that time, but for the anime, it looks like it won't be introduced yet, but it could be brought in a later scene.

I imagine Historia's backstory will explored around the episode when Historia and Eren are captured and Rod Reiss pulls them out of their coffins. As Rod pulls Historia out, she has a visibly angry face with tears in her face but is then shocked when he hugs her. Eren observes the situation, but is puzzled. When the anime reaches this scene, I imagine the flashback will kick in when Eren notices what's going on here and states "Wait, is that the Rod Reiss Historia was talking about?" It would then que into the flashback where Historia tells her story to Eren, Levi, and the others.

I think the placement of this flashback could work well in that case, especially since the first episode of Season 3 previously obscured Rod's face when he first showed up. Having his face reveal when he sees Historia for the first time in five years would make a fitting spot, especially the manga first revealed his face in the flashback that discussed Historia's backstory.

Speaking of Eren and Historia being captured, the way how this episode presented the arrival of Kenny's squad along with Eren and Historia still being in that carriage gives me the impression that might be getting captured soon. I don't know what to say.

My ultimate hope is that Season 3 doesn't remove too much character interaction scenes. Even though this arc didn't have much action compared to other arcs in the series, it was an especially important arc for developing most of the major characters because of those casual character moments.

In all, the first episode of Season 3 was quite good! It might give some qualms for the manga readers, but it does a solid job setting up what the main moments in this arc will focus on.

During the movie showing, the dub credits also revealed the name of the Season 3 opening. It will be called "Red Swan" and it will be performed by... *drumroll please*... X Japan!

Huh? Linked Horizon isn't doing it this time? Yeah, I was just as surprised too. I love Linked Horizon, and their AoT openings are always fantastic! It feels odd to not have them for this opening. Still, having X Japan do the opening for this season is a major deal. After all, they are one of the most iconic rock bands from Japan! That'd be like if Bon Jovi did the opening for a TV show in the West! I've been listening to some of X Japan's music recently to get an idea of how this new Season 3 opening could sound like, and I gotta say, they're pretty good!

I have a feeling Linked Horizon will come back though, most likely for the second opening of Season 3 when the anime reaches the second arc for the season. Their music does seem to fit for the events in that arc.

Shiny's a kid. For the record I'm not blaming Shiny, but rather everyone else involved with that topic. They knew this could have happened and it did. It's like knowing a guy's trying to get rid of his alcoholism and then you invite him for a drink in a pub and get mad at him for drinking

When did lewd stuff become the hot topic on Nintenzone?
Cuz I don't remember that ever being the main discussion topic when I started posting around these parts (for whatever it's worth I was the same age as Shiny back then).

More importantly when did half the discussions be what Shiny did or didn't do?
Like look guys you aren't his parents. Like look I have no hard feelings against the guy but like every time I come in here it's always either Shiny said something and why we justify it or the logistics of the things that Shiny did in fact say.

We're not his parents the hell are we doing playing parenting?

Not my point.
I'm just surprised that you're younger than me, even if not by much.
If you have good manners on the internet you'll seem a lot older than you really are.

Wouldn’t that be against the rules? I mean, you probably wouldn’t get in trouble now, but that was a pretty silly move.
Yeah.
That's why it says 1995 in the locked depths of my account page and not 2001. Being underage is more common in forums than you may think.

Well you see.
It's what happened when a man named Wallnut Chant decided he was gonna make a ****in forum for the Nintender games Soup or Starch Broth.
But this one guy, we will call him Fax Machine, was really good with a gun and a shiny hexagon.

And everyone died.
