Welp, it seems that I'm actually not going to sleep.
I tried to sleep but I couldn't, and if I do fall asleep I'll probably wake up in like 12:00 AM or 13:00 PM whcih is a terrible time to take my Ritalin because it means I'm going to stay awake all night again, and if I don't take it I can't function properly during the day, and if I take it the day afterwards I pretty much become a robot.
In other words, it's an endless cycle that I can only break by giving up on my beauty sleep for today.
This, folks, is why you don't oversleep.

Well...here's my Gen 1-7 thoughts about how I feel towards the Pokemon series
Gen 1
+ Iconic starters
+ Many iconic Pokemon (Charizard, Pikachu, Gengar, Mewtwo, etc)
+ Soundtrack was memorable and iconic
+ Psychic types roasting (can easily make up a full team of Psychic types and mow through the game)
+ Rival as final boss - nice twist
+ Good number of legendaries
+ Mew glitch
+ GENGAR!!!! (yes I'm biased deal with it)
+Missingo glitch (if you're wanting to get all the Pokedex)
- TOO. MANY. POSION. TYPES. Seriously, all the Grass types are part Poison, save for Tangela. That made me not want to add Grass on my team without worrying about broken Psychic types wrecking them
- Moves were broken. Body Slam, Slash, etc were made broken. They're fun when used right, but it's hilarious to know how bad the Gen 1 competitive scene is
- Psychic types broken as **** (I'm a Psychic main here, but I agree with how badly broken it was)
- Pokeballs "missing" - made me rage as a kid
- not much to do post-game (FR/LG fixed that)
- too many glitches
- Finding Surf back then was ****ing ridiculous - part of why I stopped playing until years later
- Lack of Ghost and Dragon types
- Safari Zone. MANY. BAD. MEMORIES from my childhood
- frustrating difficult levels as a kid (Charmander against Brock's gym was a bad idea back then. Giving it Metal Claw in 3rd gen fixed that)
- Physical/Special split - looking back, this bothers me to how the game changed for the better today
Gen 2
+ Solid choices for starters
+ Introduction for Shiny Pokemon (and to this day, i STILL haven't caught one. Only got a Shiny Zubat by egg which surprised me)
+ Breeding
+ Pokerus
+ Many memorable Pokemon
+ New moves to counter Psychic types and change the meta game
+ Physical/Special split
+ Switching certain move types around (i.e. Bite to Dark, Sand-Attack to Ground, etc)
+ Introduction of Dark and Steel types
+ An actual HIGH level opponent (Red)
+ Great choices for legendaries
+ Time based events
- Not many Steel and Dark types
- STILL not many Ghost and Dragons (they added like 1 for each type WTF)
- Nearly 1/5th of new Pokemon (18/19 of 100) came from Gen 1 Pokemon families
- Going to Kanto post-game and finding MANY underlevel Pokemon
- Gym Leaders, Elite 4, and Kanto Gym Leaders not at high level (40's for Elite 4? C'mon now!)
- Roaming legendaries (to this day, i STILL loathe the idea of this)
- Happiness evolutions (I really hate this type of evolution)
- Whitney and Miltank bah gawd
- Trade evolutions with hold items
(not much I can say about this one because I've never really experienced GSC, yet I did HG/SS)
Gen 3
+ Amazing soundtrack
+ XD/Colosseum - this helped TONS with the Pokedex back then
+ Being able to transfer between XD/Colosseum and FR/LG/R/S/E
+ Fighting against one team while helping another (but fighting both in Emerald)
+ MANY new Dragon and Ghost types
+ Underwater areas to explore
+ Solid storyline
+ New places to explore and more diverse comparing to towns/seas
+ MANY great legendary Pokemon
+ Solid post-game
+ Introduction of natures and double battles
- Too much water/10
- Ironically, too many new Water types
- Not able to transfer Pokemon from G/S/C to R/S/E/LG/FR
- Rival was too friendly to me back then in this game. And this was my thinking as a kid lmao
Gen 4
+ Solid storyline
+ Many overdue evolutions of previous Pokemon (Magmortar, Hounkrow, Mismagius, etc)
+ Post-game
+ Physical/Special split for some Pokemon to shine
+ Bug types FINALLY get their breakthrough
+ Diverse amount of typings
+ Soundtrack
+ First diversity Champion team since Blue
+ Team Galatic's storyline
+ Transfer Pokemon from Gen 3 starting with D/P/P
+ Battle Frontier
+ Normal and Ghost type Legendaries
+ Increased difficulty/challenge during the game - much needed for those who are looking for a challenge
- TOO many legendaries (14 is a little too much)
- Not much water routes/10 (ironic eh?)
- Too many HMs
- Trade evolutions with hold items
- Barry annoying as hell
- Haunter trade - holy **** wtf
- Lack of new Fire types
Gen 5
+ Solid storyline
+ Fresh Pokemon, making you choose NEW Pokemon instead of hunting for your favorites in the past
+ Soundtrack
+ New York-like setting for Unova which is a nice twist
+ Sequels that happens two years later in storyline
+ Unique pure Flying type
+ N's storyline
+ Unique game cities (Black City/White Forest)
+ Triple battles
- Grinding. My Lord, this was the main reason I didn't play it as much. Took WAYYYYYY too long to finish up.
- TOO many legendaries (13)
- Roaming legendaries - absolutely terrible idea
- Many Pokemon evolve WAYYYYYY later than earlier generations
- Most characters are bland - Bianca, Kieran, etc
- Cannot used older Pokemon without National Dex (my autocorrect tried to change this to sex lmao) (B2/W2 fixed this)
- This generation's starers weren't really special
- Triple battles (there's a reason why I put it on both pros and cons)
- Most of the Pokemon are easily forgotten
Gen 6
+ Introduction of Fairy types and Fairy metagame
+ Mega Evolutions
+ Many popular Pokemon (Greninja, Hawlucha, Noivern, etc)
+ Very solid storyline (I think this was the best written of the series)
+ WONDERFUL post-game
+ Less amount of Legendaries to catch
+ Capture older Pokemon
+ Being able to pick a Gen 6 starter AND a Gen 1 starter was a nice twist
+ Pokemon Storage
+ Horde encounters
- Most Kanto got Mega Evolutions
- Not many Pokemon in this game
- Lack of new evolutions from previous Pokemon (Slyveon being the only one)
- Roaming Pokemon
Gen 7
+ Island Challenges being a nice twist
+ Solid post-game
+ The ability to fight Red and Blue post-game
+ Z-Moves
+ A legendary Pokemon to evolve
+ Many decent Pokemon with signature moves
+ Going for Sun/Moon time frames is a nice twist
+ Ability to time travel in US/UM
- Lack of Gyms
- Too many Legendaries/Ultra Beasts
- Island hopping
I think that's about it from me.

I have now beaten Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.
Overall, I loved playing it, although I'm not sure where I would rank it in terms of the Final Fantasy games that I have played. I might post my full thoughts on the game sometime later, but I'm not sure if most people here would be interested lol.
I'm not sure whether I'll want to go back to my original save file and do the stuff that I didn't do, or do a New Game + run of the game whenever I'll feel like revisiting the game (which is going to be a long time lol).
Also Balthier is the best character don't @ me.
Overall, I loved playing it, although I'm not sure where I would rank it in terms of the Final Fantasy games that I have played. I might post my full thoughts on the game sometime later, but I'm not sure if most people here would be interested lol.

I would, considering that I've yet to even get a 1/4th of the game done, I'd like to see what your thoughts and stargeties were. I barely finish it on the PS2 because it took so long for me to finish, so I sold it. Wanting to finish it up this time around but I need motivation to do it

-Hopefully the next batch of new heroes is either from Archanea, SoV, or Binding Blade as those games desperately need a new banner. Especially Shadow Dragon and Binding Blade as neither of those games have had dedicated banners period since the game latched.
-As for what the GHB will be, it depends on what the banner is. If it uses any of the above three to get those games banners, I can see Gharnef, Medeus, or Eremiya (if New Mystery) for Archanea, Fernand or Rudolf for SoV, or Brunya, Idunn, or Murdock for Binding Blade.
-Looking forward to the Distant Defense banner as I've been trying to get Celica and Micaiah for a while, similarly, the Fighter Skills banner should be good since I've been trying to get M!Grima and another Hardin.
It looks like it'll be a quiet month though, I wonder if there's a FEH channel coming soon to fill in some gaps.

Just ate my breakfast - a hard boiled egg. I'd have made an egg salad but it's the last egg in the house and my parents are asleep so I can't ask them for money to buy eggs.
