All right got back from playing BBTag. It's uh... it's all right.
I feel like it's definitely a game that wasn't built for me. Like it's kinda weird with it being a game with three well known anime fighter franchise, but also be a diet anime fighter. Which is fine sure, but it definitely feels barebones. Like even many of the characters feel they could have been fleshed out more, which makes sense because they are fleshed out in their own games. It's also a very mash-y game. Which is honestly not something I'm all for I like more intricate combos myself, and pushes the cheapness that I kept feeling. Like I got places, I was doing combos, I found a loop for Gordeau, I was having fun. But it felt I would've had the same amount or even more fun playing the games this one was representing.
I think it was built with more the intention of "hey, these games exist. aren't they neat? go play them" then like meant to be a massive fanservice fest to anime fighter fans. And if that's the intention I'm fine, but again, it's just not my cup of tea. I'll just be waiting for Guilty Gear AC + R on the Switch so I can play it on the pooper.
Also something something on-disk DLC which is absolute bullcrap.
Also hello, I'm done with my classes. So I have more free time. Hooray.
