You should be careful jumping to conclusions like this, you'll end up shooting yourself in the foot more often than not.

I didn't watch the video, only around 10-15 minutes of it. Feels like that's enough to get the gist of this argument. He doesn't actually talk about the video until around 5 ish minutes in.

Seemingly his general point is that he "agrees" with a lot of the original video essay....but they basically says none of what the video brings up are actually problems. He also dismissed the idea that pandering exclusively to horny weebs could ever be a bad thing. And weirdly complains a lot that the original video went in to too much detail on certain things?

Don't want to say too much on this as I've never played XB2 and it's not really a series that interests me. Though I suppose some of the arguments in the original video could apply to recent Fire Emblem games as well....

Somewhat true. I did some calculations and if I'm right I could get him to reach 37 res which is pretty good but requires some buffs. At that point Distant Counter would be nice to give him but its not a skill I have access to atm, and I like his brazen attack and def.

Pardon me but, what would be the point of revisiting the region is it had changed so radically and everyone we knew was dead or 130 years old? (That Goldeen Sushi diet better pay off)

That's a fair point. If it happened it could work if they just kept some areas mostly the same,but updated with a little more to keep it fresh.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Giovanni showed up because it could just be the one from USUM. Maybe a new more advanced team rocket could rise up as you explore the new and old of Kanto.

Plus they could just make some of the leaders ancestors to the originals and I doubt it would upset people as they could get off easy and make the character designs similar.

It be a pretty big step for Pokemon and a surprising change, but if they worked hard enough it could probably be pulled off well.

And I got all of them! Yay, no more core farming!

I got Obrona, Perdido, and Sever from Rare Core Crystals. Cressidus, Patroka, and Akhos from Legendary Core Crystals.

I LITERALLY got Akhos on my last Legendary Core Crystal. That was hype.

I pulled them all on Nia because she has better Luck than Rex, and while I'm not sure who I want to be the Driver of each one, I knew I wanted Obrona on Nia at least as well as possibly Akhos, so that minimises Overdrive Protocol usage. I used on to put Patroka on Rex for the time being.

Just Mikhail left, but thankfully you don't get him from the lottery and just find him late in the story.

The "There Are Starving Kids in Africa" Fallacy. Otherwise known as the Fallacy of Relative Privation.
It means ignoring or undermining a person's issue just because worse issues exist (like starving kids in Africa) in an attempt to make it seem like the opposition has no case. It's a fallacy because it assumes people can't focus on more than one issue at a time, which they can.

So by you saying "there are far worse cases of harmful oversexualization in *insert other piece of media here*, you're committing the Starving Kids in Africa fallacy. It's a cheap and ill-informed way to attempt to shut down an argument you don't agree with.

Not everyone who loves JRPGs is gonna love the excessive fan service. It's alienating. Fan service isn't the main appeal of a JRPG like it is for a Dead or Alive volleyball game or Senren Kagura or something. This isn't buying a cake with raisins, knowing it has raisins, and then complaining that you don't like raisins. This is like ordering a pizza and only finding out after paying that the pizza has anchovies because the pizza parlor defaults to anchovies as a topping. Not everyone likes anchovies, and anchovies aren't required to be on a pizza, so it could ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience.

That being said I'd really rather not continue this. Or rather, I'd prefer you not immediately get defensive when someone criticizes the game. You don't need to white knight for a piece of software. Just let it go, man.

I posted my arena team last night, and you even liked the post, but since we all know you don't read posts before liking them, I guess I'll just have to post it again.

I don't really have any fixed teams as such. Mostly I just pick and choose whatever suits the challenge at hand. I can show off what you'd see if you got my defence team in the Arena, though:

Probably pretty easy to beat when they're under AI control, but they get me my defence wins each week, so whatever.

Sigurd might be tricky because he's one of, if not the best tank in the game. If you don't have a blue on your team, you're not going to have a fun time dealing with him. Even then, the guy can tank and survive The Reinhardt (+10, +atk, Death Blow, etc), so just having a blue mightn't even be enough.

Titania is currently being reworked, but she still does a decent job of disposing of any non-red magic threat that goes near her. If you bait her with a sword she goes down pretty easy, though. As for how I'm reworking her, I have a +atk -HP one lined up for merging (this one is -def), then I'll stick a +def or +res refine on her axe, Dull Ranged in B, and the Quick Riposte seal. Dunno how well that'll work for the arena, but I doubt anyone will expect to see Dull Ranged show up on anyone, so it might work because of the element of surprise.

Leon... just throw a mage at him or something. If you let him initiate on you, though, there's a chance you'll activate his Escape Route, and that can get pretty nasty. At least, that's the theory behind it, no idea if anyone actually ever falls for it.

Fjorm is just there because I wanted a blue and she does the job well enough with her base kit. You can tell how little I care about the blessing system by how none of the other units on this team have a water blessing. She'll probably get rotated out next week for the next bonus unit.

If not for the restraints the arena puts on team-building (can't use too many ranged units or they'll tank my score, so fun stuff like Wind/Watersweep Felicia are out unless I put more merges on her), I'm sure I could come up with something much nastier, but this works well enough for now.

Like I said, I don't have any one "main" team, so this is the closest I have to such a thing. In a non-arena setting I'm sure I could come up with something that would be pretty much impossible for your team to beat. :p
