You'd need to actually be in Japan to pull that off, I think.

Huge ****ing Xenoblade 2DLC spoilers.
https://nintendoeverything.com/rumo...-story-dlc-details-big-news-about-new-blades/
holy batgdmnd whao tis crau
I see, if you can mention some examples it would help.Literally no said Xenoblade Chronicles 2's designs themselves impact society on a macro level, but rather that they're reflective of some of the current societal issues today.
Hold it right there...not trying to argue or anything here but...And just as easily, it shouldn't be brushed under the rug just because "it's always been like this." That's a logical fallacy, namely the Appeal to Worse Problems, or the "Starving Kids in Africa" fallacy. People should be encouraged to discuss these issues out in the open.
Very unlikely because the two Blade on the DLC menu don't really look like Fiora or Shulk.I just hope Shulk and Fiora aren't the two remaining paid Blades like Poppibuster and are literally just rewards for Challenge Mode. I would like some original Blades for the two remaining DLC Blades.
I mean this is just a data, I'm confident that we will get more stuff in the future.I hope this isn't all that's left though in terms of updates. There are a few more updates I would like to see that would be relatively simple, like letting Nia gain SP in Blade form, playable Blade Nia, outfit swaps (being able to switch back to Rex's old outfit, Pyra's Gormotti Hood, Nia with her hood up, hatless Mórag, etc), and allowing us to use Blade Nia and the Poppi forms from the beginning in NG+.
OK, just that you know, there was another leak before this leak that revealed other info on the game. I didn't post it here since I wanted to leave peoples surprised, but since another, bigger leak have been revealed, I guess everyone should have a part of the cake, huh?I knew it would take place during the Aegis War, though I'm a bit disappointed it does. I feel the game gave us enough info on that.
Gameplay sounds like it will be fun though, as it sounds like it's harkening back to XC1 gameplay. Which I overall prefer to XC2.
I'll be disappointed if Jin is just given as a Blade, because he's literally already partially playable. Just make him fully playable in NG+. Unless he works like Nia and can be both Driver and Blade.
Shulk and Fiora is gonna be fun. Gonna make the dream team of Rex with Nia, Shulk, and Malos in NG+, lol.
Been wanting Malos as a Blade so I'm glad for that. Now just make a re-write of the main story with Pyra and Malos swapping roles and we're all set.

"Starving children in Africa" is a serious and whole different issue, how can you put up where people and children are actually dying due to hunger and then a topic that is just something where people are just bothered and does not have a lethal impact on people's lives?
I actually posted that leak here myself, lol.OK, just that you know, there was another leak before this leak that revealed other info on the game. So, here is the "old" one. You been warned in advance,
Not sure if Jin will be playable as a driver and a blade. I asked to the discord where it was leak, but I don't think they are 100% sure either.
In any case, I hope you like it. Credit goes to the XB discord.
Huh, really? He's not saying the issues are comparable in severity. Just that saying "we shouldn't speak up about sexualisation because we can never fully stop it" is like saying we shouldn't help starving countries. It's the principle fact that if you want to make a change, we have to speak up and take action.
Sexualisation is never gonna go away as long as humans have sexuality. But we can change how the concept is utilised and how it's perceived.
I actually posted that leak here myself, lol.
You watched the video, right? Basically all of that. Designs clashing with the characters' personalities, sexualization heavily skewed toward female characters for a straight male audience, all that stuff.I see, if you can mention some examples it would help.
...You literally don't know what I'm talking about.Hold it right there...not trying to argue or anything here but...

Just because you don't think it's a problem doesn't mean it isn't one. For many people it is, so it deserves to be discussed without moving goalposts.Coming back, agreed with your latter part but when the issue we discuss realistically isn't an actual social issue, especially when we were just simply talking about a fictional character designs in the first place... you may call this moving goal post but I think we are just going off rails at this point.
Man I didn't die last. Welp... time to start again!View attachment 143651
whelp, we finally lost on the 3rd of septober, day 17
the two raiders that came in after **** went down basically burnt down all of our production tables and supplies like food, weapons, and materials, yet kept our buildings alive and just left red and shiny alone while they were downed
everyone died, and in order cause of death
@Cure_Lily died by getting beaten to death by a butt of a rifle
The Stoopid Unikorn died by blood loss from bullets found in his lung neck and heart
Natz~ died by infected liver
Opossum died by trauma from being smashed by an elephant
praline died by getting her right arm and shoulder torn off and slowly bled to death
@redfeatherraven died by infected right leg....and infected left leg....and infected right arm, left arm, torso, one of his fingers, and i think an infected foot
and @ShinyLegendary last one to die funny enough by starvation, he lived through his injuries so long on the ground he starved to death
we had **** and terrible luck since we landed, rng was against us the whole trip through, and couldn't catch a break, we actually had to buy wood something that should never be done unless you live in a desert or a iceberg, from my past experiences playing this game, ya i think we just had a bad run, it really shouldn't of gotten this bad this early, especially that wave of raiders
yup lol, probably the best thing about rimworld, easy to start a new game no matter what, got all the characters saved and equipment, just need to roll new map and goMan I didn't die last. Welp... time to start again!
That may be true but it's not a case of "women expressing their sexuality", it's women having to design such characters to appeal to male audiences. Hell, sometimes it's not even male artists who are to blame, I remember Altera from Fate/GO wore much more clothing(though it's implied she was still pretty skimpy) but the higher-ups said to have her have a more revealing outfit. This isn't actually true in Xenoblade Chronicles 2's case. Some of the designs are actually made by women.
The infamous Dahlia was actually designed by a woman. She also designed Ursula, who is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
I'm not saying you're completely wrong on your point, but women sexualise women as well.
Don't act like you're being imparcial when you always bring up the same point "I don't see a problem with it", a completely personal point and no evidence as to why "there isn't any problem". You have given no "unbiased" or "reasonable" points. To some degree yes, but I never consider sexualization a problem. And I give legit and unbiased point rather than being unreasonable.
I'm not talking about the video, I haven't watched it(though I do plan on doing so), I'm talking about the issue as a whole.I complain because this video is titled as a case study, but his topic on XC2 often leads to subjective conclusions.
I did "look at it in a bigger scope", I understand why Japan does what it does. Doesn't mean it's okay and that's my point.Yes, you don't have to accept but you have to look at it in a bigger scope, and at least try to coordinate with it. Just go straight and bonk it with you head will never get it right in my opinion.
The message she is trying to send is that Japan treats women as objects and that it believes their sexuality belongs to men.Ok... I check Chinese wiki (Which has more info)... this was mostly because she well... made that "*****boat" in Japan... and in real Japan society obviously they don't allow that... even if that artist is a male, the artist will still get arrest and probably get more backlash...
Please don't bring the "not all men" thing here. This doesn't even help your point. And there are actually male individual made change.org to make a request of releasing that female artist because they think it is "killing freedom of speech." This you put doesn't surprised me at all... or have anything to do with misogynistic culture.
This has to with the way Japan treats women's sexuality, which has to do with fanservice designs in media, which has to do with XC2, which is a videogame. All in all, this a publicly display obscene object problem... this isn't even has to do with video games....
Demeaning portrayals in media ARE going to harm them. Media doesn't exist in a vaccum that people forget about outside of it, it does affect how we think. If you are talking about video games and other entertainment medias... then I get that.
But in reality/ real life society that's far from the case. I mean, yes women still has a lot of need to have their voice heard on many aspects in social life but video games does nothing to harm them.
I have no idea what you were trying to say here.Yes, for men that are attracted to those female fanservice to be exact.
Ask women eh? Well, if you talking about those who was never into animes and video games, you may disagree on this but gender doesn't matter because even men who doesn't watch anime and video game will think be disgust on fanservice as well
Do I really need to point out how blatant the fanservice is in XC2?But this is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 the video was focusing on. It doesn't have much of that... or fanservice that are explicit..
See, this is the exact issue I'n talking about. You keep saying they aren't a problem but you provide no evidence of it, you just repeat yourself over and over again. You take this like a personal attack on XC2 when it really isn't. It's a flawed aspect of the game that should be criticized.tl;dr
Fanservice designs in video games are not a problem (If you are talking about heavily influences real life btw), and it has nothing to do with misogynistic...
What does this have to do with anything???Korean dramas also have many plots that are somewhat misogynistic in a harsh way...
WhatLet's just time out for a sec as to why even in modern day where video game is an entertainment, but people complain on the aspect where you can avoid... I really don't get it to be honest...
But it does cause issues, it continues to normalize the notion of women as objects and the more people simply accept such things, the more common they become. It's a direct reflection of what the people who made those designs think and that shows a problem with their mindsets. If you don't really like fanservice then play games that don't have that, watch animes that don't have that (It's pretty hard though) if fanservice doesn't cause major social issues, then it's not a problem in my opinion.
the fact they are a year and 8 months late pisses me off
Not yet, I'm not allowed to be proud of myself as I bought a Kamen Rider belt that remixes Beethoven samples, I'm only allowed to be proud again when my voice therapy's doneGod dang it Gwen, you actually did it.
I hope you are proud of yourself.
My condolences to everyone that died.everyone died, and in order cause of death

The thing is we don't know if that's necessarily true with Dahlia. Like I said, Ursula was designed by the same person, and she's just a cute kid with a polar bear. Blades are also abstract enough as a concept to where they can be literally anything so I don't think she would have been pressured to make Dahlia a certain way. I heard the artists were actually given free reign in XC2 for the Blades, it was the main characters that had restrictions.
