In all fairness, the app is used for literally just Splatoon 2 right now. And most of its features are unnecessary aside from SplatNet.

I really hope they can just include Discord app sometime in the future... and you can link to your Nintendo Switch account... hope this idea isn't that far fetched.

Yeah, that's a good point: I've just been seeing people hope the idea of voice chat gets moved to the Switch. And well... I'm one of those people who wouldn't mind it as long as I can turn it off. At the same time, I'm really not sure I want to hear a kid screaming at the top of their lungs, so...

The problem with this kind of idea is that the Switch has no microphone and thus, no natural method of voice chat, something that even the goddamn Wii U had.

Though with that said, the Wii didn't have that either and we got a peripheral for it called the Wii Speak (I have that pun), so it's not impossible.

At the very least, I'll wait and see what happens with the games. I mean, according to the thing, "Enjoy 20 NES games with Online Play for the first time ever, and more games added regularly. The service will launch with 20 games, with new games added regularly."

-That's what I'm keeping an eye on. For one thing, we could get more than just NES games, considering it just says, "and more games added regularly." and not "more NES games added regularly."
-Then there's also how we're playing them. If we're able to play them for free anytime anywhere, that could be the big kicker, especially if it includes later games. It would be like Netflix, except for video games.

But it all really depends on how Nintendo is going to handle this. At the very least, $20 a year is not bad and certainly a good starting point.

That's probably an answer to the competion.

Both Sony and Microsoft offer free monthly games, but Nintendo wanted their online services to be cheaper, so using retro games that are already ported to the death as a "reward", while ****ty for anyone who lacks nostalgia, can still be seen as a substantial bonus. Especially since they're free instead of having you spend another 5 freaking bucks for each like how the Wii U handled Virtual Console.

But here's the thing, it isn't just the banking on nostalgia, it's trying to sell the same **** they're always selling and giving, it's only selling point is the online added and even then, that's ultimately not worth it if you ask me

I did not realize how potentially terrifying Dark Mystleteinn is. It is literally a Killer weapon, combined with a Quickened Pulse 3. As it says, "If using a skill that activates before or during combat, grants Special Cooldown-2 after combat." Basically, if he's using a 3 Charge skill, like Luna, Draconic Aura, Bonfire, etc, he will literally have that skill up after every battle he does. If using a 4 Charge skill, like Ignis or Dragon Fang, he just needs to get attacked and survive to unleash that move upon them right away. That is frickin' scary.

Now combine the 3 Charge skill with Vantage. He will unleash a 3 Charge skill upon any attacker first thing and then that 3 Charge skill will immediately fill back up, ready to be used again with Vantage. Combine that with Distant Counter....

And to think this variation of Mystleteinn may be given to Eldigan. And both Ares and Eldigan can benefit from Horse Buffs. I think Sword Reinhardt just found competition.

To be honest, I mostly agree with you on this, especially with the positives behind the service. The only big question is if Nintendo is willing to change the service at this point or are open to feedback on it as I do want the service to succeed in the future and show that Nintendo is caught up with the modern times. As much as I love them, I do admit that this is one of their flaws.

as the night drawn to a close and morals low, uni did something to raise everyones spirits

decided to throw a party for everyone so everyone can get joy, a long lasting mood boost, and social experience, he threw it for all of his friends

which consists of me praline, and grim (only because grim is pretty making everyone get +20 favor towards him) either way we all gather and we shove off to party

which consisted of some talking, awkward dances, and chess matches...to be honest it went literally better than i thought the party actually would
either way it did get some benefit, a lotta people gained favor with eachother (except lily who kept slighting uni, probaby saying hes a fake american and stuff) and everyone got a +15 mood for 10 days, good on ya uni!

oh....but i guess shiny overheard we were all partying (best we could) and got so disheartened he couldn't join so he broke again....he basically just walked around his cell refusing to sleep or eat...poor guy, i feel so bad for him but theres literally nothing we can do...

morning came back to work for the rest of us, thanks to that party and having bedrooms pretty much all of us are now happy, even more happy our hops fields have yielded so we now can start working on brewing them as soon as we can get the wood to spare to build the kegs and brewery center, either way happy thing

and a cougar when mad hunting us, and by that i mean he hated praline, every single animal we pissed off always seem to go after praline, why do animals hate you praline? anyway your too far away for anyone else of the stoopid gang, or lily to help you out so you were kinda on your own against the beast

it became quite the bloody mess as it tore into praline while she sprayed bullets all over against it nailing it

and in the end she is victorious, she basically mutilated the cougar, surprised it took so much and fought as much as it did but parline won in the end, honestly her injuries aren't even anything bad, they look worse than they actually are, patch it up and sleep it off and you'll be good as new next day~

oh hey 16 hours later and shiny finally collapsed, hes sleep depraved and completely starving, wonderful, well at least hes back to himself.....as best as he can, so we can fix it..
closing the night at midnight for the 14th to begin most are resting, we got plans to improve shinys jail, hes now back to being great thanks to his mental breakdown but its only temporary, hopefully improving his jail cell will also improve his chances of joining us. food for thought, one last thing to note here before the day begins

i built butts a bed lol, and put it in its owners room lilys, felt kinda bad for the creature just roaming around anywhere at the base instead of sleeping with its owner, and we had plenty of leather and cloth, so i built it a bed out of exploding cow leather and put it in here so now butts can snuggle up in comfort happily, with that a new day begins and hopefully things improve.

Just from the Smash portion alone the newcomers are so stale and predictable that I want to slam my head on a wall, anything resembling gameplay going closer to Melee, and *vomits in mouth* calling it part of a trilogy when it's all but confirmed from subtext alone that it's a new game and not a port of the Wii U/3DS titles.

Whole thing reads like the world's most boring wishlist.

Oh, except "Lustrous Daybreak," I guess. I mean, really? The only lustrous Daybreak Fire Emblem characters are touching is the one they have to manually build into a murder bazooka in Smash.

What stuff does it need?

From the angry mob that is ResetERA, I'm guessing an actual way to message and interact with people on your friends list. An ability to set up parties as well.

More games and consoles beyond the NES would be nice. I hope that's more a matter of when not if.

Since Undertale got announced for the system I can see FNAF happening as well. It'll be lucky guesswork by this "leaker" if it does.

Anything first party is bull on top of bull. There's not gonna be paid Odyssey DLC, the fake Yoshi game title doesn't pop enough even outside of the blatant FE issue, all the Smash stuff I've already mentioned my grievances with.

If this were real there'd probably be SOMETHING notable. An out of left field new IP like ARMS. Smash characters people REALLY won't see coming. Something, anything that's not utterly vanilla. It's too boring to be real AND most of it sounds like bull.

We've seen Warioware and Mario spinoffs have stuff filed anyway. If you're going to shoot safe, at least shoot the fish that are already in the barrel, c'mon now.

I'm not being cocky, I don't really care about Odyssey, LOL. And the Splatoon 2 DLC was entirely made up of things people asked for but I didn't think they were actually gonna do anyway. All the "the usual" stuff people speculated would be DLC locked mostly isn't.

I just don't think that's what they want to do with Odyssey.

I see where you're coming from though. For my part, the one thing that gives me pause is that they had the date and subject spot on - everything else makes that look like a lucky guess, and there's just so very much that's blatantly wrong, but there's some back part of my brain nagging at me about that.

That's kind of why I wondered about a canary trap of some kind. Perhaps the leaker thought they were telling the truth, and now they've reached the "oh ****" stage of their evening where they realize they've been had and they're busted.

But in order for that to work, most likely they would've had to have been enticed with something else, suggesting that some part of that - which part is unknown - remains at least plausible.

It's all bull**** devil's advocating but it gives me something to do.
