When I pulled Winter Tharja I considered it. My train of thought went like this though: my Virion's focus is keeping his HP high to proc Panic Ploy, so having Close Counter kinda runs counter (hah!) to that. Plus I like Takumi enough to keep at least one copy.

Metal Gear (incidentally another game wrapped up in politics) isn't a great example really and you highlighted part of why.
You don't have a pacifist option against the bosses at all. Just a "I didn't shoot them with bullets, just a very large amount of Tranq darts that are probably deadly in that quantity anyway" if they aren't a fight against a Metal Gear.

If you go for the non-lethal option bosses, doesn't someone else just come along and kill them?

Eh, I'll say it. I'm a huge Zelda fan but I genuinely got nothing out of Hyrule Warriors. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills seeing how much that game clicked with people. Particularly it's interpretation of Ganondorf....

I think its just cause everyone wanted to see Ganondorf dual wield again.

And to believe I've bought one just for Takamaru.

Thus I grew to fell in love with the Warriors games.

I thought Takamaru's side game wasn't in the western release.

You know how like the very first thing Thanos does in Infinity War is remove all his armor? Because he's so far above everyone else in power that he just doesn't need it?

I love OoT Ganondorf for the simplicity. He's got some leathers and a cape. He doesn't carry a weapon or wear armor, because he's so far above everyone else in Hyrule that he just doesn't need to. He'll punch a dude that comes at him with a sword.

HW Ganon is decked out head to toe in Samurai armor wielding two impractically large swords like he's compensating for something. >~>

Yeah, but OoT Ganon has full magic, so he don't have to worry about puny mooks.

A genuinely good Hylian Soldier character came long before Hyrule Warriors, my friend.

You know, I genuinely didn't know about this for years, cause I never went back their, so in away if you don't, he dies in vain, even more hurtful that some theorise he's the guard who Link pays to get through the first gate.

I'd like a Pokemon spinoff game where you raise Pokemon as pets. That's right, pets. We've had lots of Pokemon games in numerous concepts before but never game where you simply raise them as pets.

And there are quite a lot of Pokemon that would make great pets. The Pichu line for instance, as they could fill the pet mouse role in that game.

Hey! You Pikachu is the perfect game for you.

I thought Takamaru's side game wasn't in the western release.

All western copies of Samurai Warriors 3 still had Takamaru.

It was his first international appearance that wasn't a minor sticker in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Murasame Mode was very faithful to the original game, even down to the difficulty. The constant ragequits from Momosame and Ryokosame's Castles still haunts me to this day.

Yeah I have no doubts that Ganon can wreck **** if he wanted to but that's not what he's primarily known for in the Zelda games. When he fights, he's usually using dark magic or wielding a sword (or in the case of Pig Ganon, a Trident)

And by no means am I advocating Ganondorf to be a purely swordbased user but he should at least incorporate some moves like that in his moveset. In Zelda canon, his prowess in swordplay is said to rival that of Link's so that should be on full display. Same deal with his dark magic (a major part of his OoT boss fight).

IMO, Crusade has the best portrayal of Ganondorf so far. They kept very little of Falcondorf while giving him mostly original moves.

Ganondorf is in character though, so are Marth and Roy.

Also, I'm really having trouble deciding what I want to do with Takumi. I mean, with the free one coming, he'll be 4-star, but at least he'll be Neutral IVs. And the Takumi I currently have is -ATK. But at the same time, I actually raised up the -ATK Takumi and gave him skills and whatnot and if I don't merge that one with the Neutral one, I'll have to work on getting the Neutral one skills again. Yet I want to give one of my units Close Combat so much.

My headcanon is that Marth is asking people to look at him to make them proud, based on someone's suggestion of the translation.

Of course I don't even know whether that's an accurate portrayal or not.
