EDIT: Also, people seem to be bothered by the devs being Toys for Bob but I wouldn't really look much into it. It's not their fault they had churn out Skylanders game after Skylanders game, they're competent developers. It's not like Vicarious Visions was in a better position before Crash either. Not to mention both devs worked side by side on both Crash Trilogy and Skylanders before.

They have the groundwork laid out on what to do thanks to Crash. They know what they're doing and I highly doubt they'll mess this up.

Sure this quest takes place in a secret area, but even that isn't too hard to reach if you have the right field skills.

Always wanted to experience it properly. Pretty excited for this.

This hasn't been posted here yet, but we got a brand new trailer for the new Overwatch seasonal event, this time called Retribution

I hope they show more Overwatch lore, I'm really digging this event so far. That Moira skin looks really nice, I might buy it, since she's one of the heroes I use the most. Really excited for this upcoming event.


On a completely unrelated note (well, it does have Tracer, so it's not that unrelated) yesterday I went to see Ready Player One. I'll give some thoughts about the things I care about the film (You know, videogames), but going into spoilers either way:

Spoiler: Ready Player One

Tracer is the one character that appears several times across the film, and the only one who actually has a voice line (Almost at the beginning). I was really excited everytime I saw her, and since I didn't go alone and all my friends also play Overwatch with me, every time she appeared we said "Cheers love, the cavalry is here!". I would have loved if she came the first when Percival calls everyone to help him in the final battle, and then said his iconic phrase as the rest of the people appeared on screen.

The second game that had most importance is Street Fighter, and it was glorious. The best part of the film is when Percival does a Hadoken to beat the bad guy. I almost popped off from my seat, loving SF as much as I do, that was the best finisher he could have done. Ryu and Chun both appear a couple of times, so that's pretty neat.

On other games I don't care that much, Halo had some cool references, Minecraft appeared briefly at the begining, and in between the final battle there was so much nonsense going on that I think I saw things that weren't there (My friend told me he saw Sonic, I would have popped off if I noticed him...). There was also the holy granade from Worms, references to pretty much every Blizzard game, and one of the main characters mentions Mario Kart, so that was nice.

I was kinda sad there were no weeb references on the film... Until the japanese main character goes full weeb, shout's a sentence in Japanese, and calls a ****ing Gundam! Oh man, that was great, the other highlight from the film apart from the Hadoken.

Non spoiler review, it was entertaining, but nothing special. If it didn't have all the game references I would have gone out a bit mad from the cinema, but overall I enjoyed it. Not being alone definitely helped, being with friends always makes things better.

Non spoiler review, it was entertaining, but nothing special. If it didn't have all the game references I would have gone out a bit mad from the cinema, but overall I enjoyed it. Not being alone definitely helped, being with friends always makes things better.
