I think his point is that it's more "just move on," shrug it off. If every time Etika is brought up, people just go on about how bad he is, and how his videos are lame, then there's really no point in brining it up, nothing new is being added to the topic.

It's how I felt when my Discord server would go on rants about how horrible Color Splash is going to be and how they want the "Real" Paper Mario back. Just shrug it off.

I don't think it's fair to tell people they should shrug something off, like a very polarising entry in a beloved series. If people don't like it they should speak up.

Personally, I actually think Nintendo faithful are way too complacent and willing to accept anything Nintendo gives them because they don't know better.

The problem is that it skews to two extremes: accept everything Nintendo does, or complain about everything Nintendo does and offer absolutely no meaningful feedback whatsoever. And from what I can tell people by far usually choose the latter.

Nintendo can use some criticism, but without context and positive reinforcement mixed in it's like slamming down on the gas pedal of a car with no driving wheel. It can only end in the whole thing crashing.

For every one person like yourself that actually articulates, you've got 99 others that won't sum up anything at all whatsoever. And when a game company sees them instead of the people that clarify, they make decisions on how to fix things blindly and it backfires on everyone.

Personally, I have noticed a large chaingang against a Youtuber who has a particular reputation and the conversation goings along the lines of, "oh there he goes again".

And then you hear the classic line, "He should probably be ignored".

I still believe kickstarters are NOT justified. How is it only made to gauge interest? You're still taking the money from the people who'd already buy the product. Plus, it's ****ing Pac-Man, haven't his recent games made by Namco ALREADY done well?

They most likely can. Larger companies like Bandai Namco tend to use Kickstarters not as a means to help fund, but to gauge interest in a product. Afterwards they get whatever money they need from investors or whatever.
