So hi guys. Anyone want to talk politics? Cause there's an election on in the UK.

But I'm not going to talk about the election, no I'm going to talk about something else, but still related, and that is the fact that the Conservative Party, aka Tories, is being investigated for electoral fraud, meaning laws that place limits on the spending a party can use for their election campaign, from the UK's 2015 general election. But here's the fun part apparently, that's just the start, they've now got some smaller press outlets looking into a dubious donation from a bank called HSBC, which is likely to have been part of money laundering. And then add onto the fact the current leader may have a conflict of interest regarding the UK's exit negotiations from the EU. You get yourself one very intriguing story.

Seriously look it up the possible level of corruption for them seems to be nowhere expected on the scale that the UK public thought. Also by the way quick note, not all the major outlets will talk about this for various reasons. I just mainly wanted to share something that I found really interesting the more I looked into it.

Also I just wanted a reason to talk about UK politics.

I don't know a lot about UK politics aside from the most basic things about Brexit, but wow. That sounds really interesting. Curious to see how it turns out.

Gosh darn it, I still feel guilty for being rude before. . .

Been feeling mildly depressed and kind of irritable for like a week now, not sure what's going on. I've been acting darn stupid lately though, that's for sure.

Well that would make more sense. It'd have to be a ridiculous gun though.

You asked for a ridiculous gun?

It fires several thousand rounds of bullets and missiles and plays the 1812 Overture.

My friends wanted to drive to Tillamook, and I was like, "There are easier ways to get cheese".

They got it at the local grocery store

Yeah, I'd say for the USA, think of it like Watergate, the more you dig into, the more interesting it seems to get. Also word to the wise, this may all turn out to just be hot air, but well highly doubtful, since quite a number of the Tory party members aren't known for being ethical.

Where did you get that from, because Labour is not some Stalinist organisation, they are a left leaning political party who exists to protect and improve worker's rights for the UK's working class. Has nothing to with Stalinists

Also if you know anything about UK press outlets, there are 3 that are not to be trusted, cause they lack a good level of journalistic integrity, those being the Daily Mail, the Daily Express and The Sun, so alot of people in the UK don't view them as reliable

Also fun fact The Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch, you know the guy who also owns fox.

I thought the snap elections were called because Theresa May didn't want to be the one negotiating the Brexit deals, considering she was on the "Remain" side.

Nope, its speculated that it was done to avoid her losing the Parliamentary majority she has, since 27 MPs are under investigation, meaning that if more then 12 were found guilty, she'd lose the majority. Plus if she didn't want to negotiate the deal, she would've passed the ticking time bomb that is Brexit to one of the more foolish tories, since if the deal goes bad, tories would possibly find themselves reduced in the originally planned 2020 election.

Conservatives are the Republicans... right?
Conservative in European politics doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as in the US.

For example, Merkel in Germany is from the conservite party

Ah, the Daily Mail aka the Daily Fail. Yeah they're known for making **** up, so take what they say with a lot of grain of salt. Also since Wikipedia finds them to be an unreliable source, I really wouldn't listen to what they say.
I didn't get it from daily mail. That's just the first source I could link to.

I don't think it matters because Labour isn't super popular

Depends on who you ask, to be honest. Also just a bit of a warning, just because a poll says something isn't well like doesn't mean it is. Also small note about alot of news organisations in the UK, quite a number are right leaning, so they always paint the picture of Labour as unpopular, when really the dislike for Labour is probably below that of the Tories.

You'd probably find that the Tories are alot more unpopular since they are the ones who put us through austerity, which is choking the lower classes of the UK, and is slowly destroying the UK's social care benefits, NHS and other public services.

And I wonder how many conservative Americans would've have an heart attack over the fact that the UK has a benefits program and free healthcare. Or rather had, something else added to the dislike of the Tories the slow privatisation of our public services, including the police.

Eh, I don't talk about politics much around places like this. But I will say I'm a bit disappointed that the U.S is primarily run only by two parties. A few nations end up having 3 or 4 party systems. And I would think that brings a slightly better semblance of balance. Though I suppose that's not the easiest thing to ask for in the first place.

Yeah, we were talking UK politics. Also fun difference between UK's conservative and US's conservative party, our's are and help bring same-sex marriage to fruition here, where as quite a large number US conservatives fight against it.

Hardly anything to do with Stalinists though, guy can't help it if someone brought the flag with him, after all free speech in the UK allows them to use that flag.

Also no, the UK doesn't need the USA's form of freedom, we can handle the dirty commies on our own. :p

Well first, do you live in the UK, also you a member of the those still loyal to the crown, or are you are dirty rebel who sided with the treasonous traders, those founding fathers of the USA. Cause if your a traitor, no you don't get to be part of these incredibly boring parties :p

The hammer and sickle is taboo only in the US, really. And in countries formerly under Soviet puppet governments.

It's quite commonly used by moderate socialists here, who about are as left leaning as Bernie.

Well, that example certainly wouldn't work for some.... As some conservatives here in the US practically consider Bernie a communist. :p

lol what.

Most people hate him because he singlehandedly ruined the Swastika in the West.

In the whole spectrum, Bernie would actually be centre-left. None of the ideas which he proposes are particularly radical in the grand scheme of things.

And where is this image from? Cause if from the Daily Mail, I'd advice discarding it, cause they may have been edited. So remember Daily Mail full of ****.

Also again its the right of UK citizens to associate with Stalin imagery if they choose, cause freedom of speech. Plus not like any Russians are going to object now, cause Russians don't care what the UK gets up to on days off at home.
