That's an understatement...going on 14 years now (by the goddess that's literally half of my life, has it really been that long?)

The Incredibles is probably my favourite Pixar film...to think it was the one I was probably the least hyped to watch cuz I was expecting it to be quite lame going in...how wrong I was...

Actually a similar thing happened with How to Train Your Dragon for Dreamworks films...admittedly though the title doesn't do the film justice at all...

Japanese Echoes sales I guess


I have no idea if this is good or bad. Obviously first place is good but the actual sales is obviously more important. I hope it's good because more FE is always good and I want more Echoes dammit

They're decent sales, but down a lot on recent FE titles' first week sales in Japan - 100k less than Awakening, 200k less than Fates (but that counts all versions combined)... even down on the two DS games. That said, it is a remake of one of the less popular FEs, and very late in the 3DS' life cycle (both two big factors against it), so it's still decent, and hopefully western sales and DLC will make up the difference. I'd wait to see more numbers before I get worried about it, myself.

In other news, Heroes wanted to **** with me today. I brought 20 orbs and went to summon. There were 3 red weapon users so I got excited. First two were nothing special, 3rd had a cutscene and looked like Ike..


It was ******* Marth 5 stars. Which I have had since the game's launch basically.

Its cool but kind of sucks. I hope to get Ike by the end though when its easiest.

I've always found it funny that people consider them bad words. Really the only words I or any of the people around me considered bad when growing up are ones that get censored here. Hooray for different values I guess.

Plenty of things.

- A CvS2 groove system with the gems instead of picking them up like in MSH.

I tend to not use the Hammer Suit, that thing is so OP and cool that I don't want to waste it accidentally.
I just collect it and keep it as a charm for the rest of my run.

Looks like it might be a bit of a grind to get the "Afrosword" in FFXV. At least some... interesting music was added when you hook a fish. The music for the new timed events menu isn't half bad either.

iirc the box thing still exists in Advance 4.
I 100% the game, making all levels (including Airships and Hammer Bros.) replayable, but I don't remember if the same applies to Mushroom Houses, if they refresh I'll grind the Hammer Suit lol.

There's a light switch brand called NKK Switches in Japan apparantly, and they parodied it as KKK Witches. The guy laughed and wanted to keep it in, the original devs heard what that could imply and wanted it changed. Localizer defended a KKK joke and will asked to be removed from the credits

This man has no sense of marketing.

I understand the desire of keeping things accurate to the source material but a joke that references a hate group unintentionally should be changed. The fact the original devs want that changed now that they know the full implications shows good judgement.

This is all great news for Nintendo, and I feel pretty happy for them they were able to reach their expectations for the Switch. It's quite a feat to get such a satisfactory customer response even when it's not even the holiday season yet. I'm sure they'll be on a roll if they can keep high quality games coming to the Switch.

Though hearing that Echoes hasn't been selling on Awakening or Fates levels in Japan is a tad disconcerting, but I reckon they'll be earning a fair amount of cash from the micro transactions in FE:Heroes.

That's partially do to Gaiden's reputation in Japan.

Japan HATES Gaiden and see it as the worst in the series.

Moreover, its a remake. Those won't make as much money as brand new entries.

I'm definitely curious, it's my first Mario Kart and it's been about a gen since I've played a kart game of any franchise with All-Stars Racing Transformed being a complete blast.

No one outaide a select few know much about Gaiden in the west
Most who played loved it outside the slow ass speed and archaic menus.
And while SoV has been more positively received in the pre-release, so it may do better here, what worries me are the fams who didn't play anything before Awakening, because this'll be a huge contrast to them and how they may react to it is the real variable.
