Watching a Yooka-Laylee review that mentions that he spent roughly 30 hours playing through the game.

I was expecting a half of that time at the most so it's good to know it has substantial meat on it's bones.

And with that being said, the first Final Fantasy VII poll begins for five hours. This focuses on the core group at the beginning of the game as well as Cloud's closest friend before he died. Your choices are Barret, Tifa, Zack, and Aeris. So yes, you can come out now @Zebei and you too @Swampasaur since I know you like Barret.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Now to blow two final classes out of the way before it's three left for that final five weeks.

So it may be a while before I post again, except for maybe the occasional post from my pad. Had a power outage last night and it apparently has messed up my computer, as it has been restarting constantly due to 'problems' it claims. This is going to feel like a long day.

What if it's like the convergence of the 3 lines?
I honestly doubt it...A Convergence of the three timelines feels very unnecessary tbh...There isn't really anything that happens within the game to cause a convergence of the three and people are just bringing it up simply because of how BotW references almost every other Zelda game in some way...

It definitely seems likely to be either Child Timeline or Downfall Timeline based on everything that was found in game...And as stated I do believe it's in the Child Timeline...

Meanwhile, I'lll cast my vote for the Mr T/Samuel L Jackson hybrid with the machine gun hand.

We already know the waifu always wins.

Who the hell is Candyman?

And is Lethal League another must have Steam game?
How dare you insult one of the best characters in all fiction?

But seriously, Lethal League is a fantastic game. Think Super Smash Bros mixed with Jet Set Radio with soccer. It's that fun.

Most likely. It's the first time I've been excited for a horror movie. I love the Stranger Things vibes I got from the trailer
The part when It starts running is so funny to me for some reason.
I'm the type of person who laughs like an idiot and makes silly jokes with horror movies.

Yeah, it looks interesting.

That was pretty silly. Hope they fix that before the movie comes out

Avalanche (former developers of Disney Infinity, now owned by Warner Bros) are hiring for a large-scale RPG made in Unreal Engine 4. Both Avalanche and Warner Bros basically only make movie-licensed stuff, and the job listings mention the project has "franchise representatives", so it's definitely a licensed project too.

They also mention in the Senior Writer job listing that they are looking for someone with deep understanding of British culture and British grammatical presentation.

This is leading people to speculate that it could be a Harry Potter RPG that they are working on.

I really hope that happens, I'd be all over a large-scale RPG in the Harry Potter universe.

I watched this other Clown movie some weeks ago.

I will put it in spoilers because, I don't know, some people can be scared of it or something XD

I thought it was pretty good and interesting.

A Harry Potter RPG sounds really fun actually. Being a wizard/witch with a character creator in that universe sounds fun. Reminds me of the EA Zelda clones they made for the franchise which were actually pretty fun for movie games. I'd buy it. Just curious what they'd do in the setting

The PS1 Harry Potter games were my ****.

I grew up with the PlayStation home consoles (though I still had GBC/GBA/DS for handheld gaming) so I never could try OoT and Majora's Mask, aside from briefly at my cousin's house. So those early Harry Potter games gave me my 3D Zelda fix at the time.

Seeing Wolverine in that trailer really gives me hope of seeing X-Men characters in MvC Infinite, while also proving that the whole "Fox owns them so they can't get in" argument is total bullcrap.
To be fair he is Wolverine.

Even if the rest of the X Men don't show up I'd still wager on Wolverine showing up on the grounds that he's ****ing Wolverine.

Personally speaking though I think MvCI in particular will have a huge MCU focus with an obscure character or two thrown in.

Hopefully more than just one or two, but yeah, I think it'll try to cash in on the MCU... and the Deadpool movies.

I expect at least Wolverine and Deadpool in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.

Even with movie issues with Fox, it doesn't change the fact that Wolverine is one of the most iconic comic book characters.

Deadpool is also a big favorite, and if I'm not mistaken, some of the head honchos in charge of the MCU really liked the movie.

I decided to try the Toybox+ demo of Yooka-Laylee. Wanted to see if it ran well on my laptop.

Unfortunately it doesn't run as well as I would like, so I probably won't get the PC version of Yooka-Laylee when I get the game (unless I some how end up with a good PC by the time I get it, which is doubtful). I'll just have to wait and see how the updates improve the game on PS4 (also need to see how the game runs in PS4 Pro's Boost Mode since that would help the frame rate too).

The game mechanics are definitely fun though, and I like the look of it. The level design was also pretty solid. I have seen some level design issues in the full game but I know the whole game isn't like that or anything.

All in all, if you have a good PC and like these kinds of games (I do), then you should have no worries if you're getting the PC version, aside from any isolated level design issues. Console players should wait though.

That's kinda ironic as Team17 did the versions that have framerate issues apparently whereas the PC version and possibly the Switch versions are better

I don't think the Switch version has review copies yet. It doesn't even have a release date.

I'm hoping Playtonic is allowed another shot at making a game.

They seemed very earnest about the whole thing. Like they wanted to make this game for several years.

I think that's the biggest difference between Yooka-Laylee and Mighty Number 9.

Inafune tried way too hard to franchise Mighty Number 9 before the game released.

Playtonic, while toying with the idea of an expanded universe with their games, just wanted to make a game.

That's true, but Playtonic's doing that version. Therefore, it's a rather safe assumption it'll be a good port as Playtonic only did the Switch and PC versions
Not really. The PC version naturally is going to be better than the others because it was the primary platform of development and had a longer development cycle. It's also just more powerful hardware for most PC gamers, resulting in a silky smooth 60 FPS on powerful enough setups.

The fact Nintendo Switch is a fair bit less powerful than an Xbox One, and that version has frame rate issues, doesn't bode well even if Team17 handled the Xbox One version. At the very least, the Switch version will need a few graphical compromises.

That being said, I still think the PS4 and Xbox One versions were poorly optimised. Between that and the JonTron fiasco, I think Playtonic should ditch Team17 once they move on to a new project.

Not to mention the version Playtonic actually made is the best version. Mighty Number 9 was just a disaster. Hell, the 3DS and Vita versions are still being waited for and both MN9 twitter accounts and the Comcept twitter account have been dead silent since October
