Hey, Julius was the one to kill Dracula once and for all! Sort of...

Well, I think it may a 50/50 battle. Now I want to see the two of them fighting.

I'd only rank Richter over Julius due to Richter fighting during his prime age while Julius was only around 18(which is impressive during 1999 and in his 56/7 in the events of both sorrow games. But Julius is probably the naturally strongest for sure.(Due to them getting progressively stronger every time there's one destined to defeat Dracula.) Also, he defeated Dracula like at any other Belmont, it's just that Dracula's power was sealed in an eclipse. Which ended his resurrection cycle. Though all (notable) Belmonts have their niches in strength.


Leon being the one to start it, defeating Dracula's predecessor Walter and then Death, Trevor likely the physically strongest perhaps even being the most agile too while also being skilled enough to do powerful weapon breaks, Simon defeated Dracula twice, Juste is not only a powerful Belmont but also as a Belnade which means he has stupidly powerful magic(and although he didn't defeat Dracula but rather Dracula's power, he still treated it as if were a casual thing. ), Richter is probably the most skilled Belmont with agility similar to Trevor's, and then Julius probably has the most natural power. Man, that's hard to keep short.

I mean, I don't know if you've gotten this far in Aria of Sorrow yet, but one Holy Cross from Julius makes the bottom of the castle crumble from what is miles away. And apparently he was holding back too... In his old age...

I wish we would have gotten a Castlevania game that takes place in the events of the Demon Castle War, it would've been awesome since it's implied that a ton happened.

Well, I don't think it would be a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see a Castlavania game in the 1999 where we play as Julius in the ultimate battle against Dracula. But, except if the game take like years of developpement and that every idea to make this game as good as your imagination could think off are real. I feel like it will be a letdown compared to what it we tough it will be. (again, that's my tough on it. And I be glad to be wrong on that)

Well, I don't think it would be a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see a Castlavania game in the 1999 where we play as Julius in the ultimate battle against Dracula. There was a random hole and I didn't see it because I was fighting a Ghast and I feel straight down and died- losing a full stack or Iron, three Diamond tools and an Iron Armor set amongst other things.

I found a really good video showcasing some of the detail differences in Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

It really helps prove that graphics aren't everything and that attention to detail can make a world more believeable.

Both games are absolutely amazing in their own right. This just shows off why attention to detail matters.

And yep, in Dawn of Sorrow in Julius mode you can switch between him, Yoko, and Alucard. To get his mode you get the bad ending, you basically go through the castle and kill Soma who's the final boss. So in a way it's kind of like 1999.

But I haven't played Dawn yet, I've just played Portrait of Ruin which has Jonathan Morris as the protagonist. Jonathan is also the one of trained Julius, he was likely at the events of 1999.

That's good to know, because I originally planned to get the bad ending just to do that.

It's cool that they actually tied it into the bad ending though, I just wish that when they defeated Soma there'd be more to the ending other than them escaping and then the castle crumbles. Like errrmm.... You just killed your main character, game, I thought there'd be more to that.

I agree.(Yes, even with Sailor Moon, because if they're going to have anime characters in it, they mine as well complete the meme.) Why Simon though? Not that I'm against Simon, I just think that aside from Simon being the most famous by name, Trevor and Richter are pretty well known too and have much more to work with.
