Meanwhile on Death Battle

Bane will get torn a new one when he has few means to defend himself from a savage Symbiote like Venom. Even better intelligence won't save him.

Oh yeah; I've known about the dogs that tend to stay at pastures and will follow you around if you feed them. I do hope that's not the only way to have a dog/wolf if only temporarily... I did recall seeing blue colored wolves in some video footage.
hm I dont think you can tame them

While I'm not getting the Switch yet but I can still plan what I'm picking up.

Question to those who own one: Does the Switch console come with joy-con straps?

They were done realistically. Bigger question to me is how are they compared to Shadow of the Colossus?
I wasn't given obstacle courses where Argo didn't leap over ankle-high poles despite running at it effectively head on in a dash.
While a touch clunky, Argo did all one needed.
I'm over 30 attempts in to hit the FIRST of two thresholds for this.

Oh that makes sense. Ill probably accept then- wait, how did he find me?

Just like actual horses, hard to control because they do their own things sometimes
Max Bond, I've been attempting this.
It banking right through the time I've been inputting left, just utterly refusing to jump no matter how "optimally" set up at times.
And tighter curves on the course than one can actually take.

Waterblight Ganon is a pain. Had to resort to jump attacks in his second phase as well as running in a circle because I had no arrows left.

You're gonna need **** loads of arrows for the Divine Beast in general. Specifically Electric. The 20 they ask of you (good luck with the Lynel in the area btw) isn't enough if you don't have a large number of other arrows to deal with the ice blocks.

Zora Tunic is great tho.

Who could Venom fight that WOULDN'T end as an absolute curbstomp?
Anyone with sound manipulation as a power up.

Because loud noises or atleast ones that can rip apart the Symbiote from the user will do the damage.

Vemon is strong but a loud sound like being near a rocket launch will probably best him.

That's still a curbstomp
Just not in Venom's favour

One hour into BotW.

I already have TWO very serious issues with this game, and I'm dumbfounded that many people are giving this game a perfect score. It's not a bad game (to early to judge) but it's certainly not flawless.

1. I never thought I'd say this, since I've never been one to care about graphics all that much, but in the case of this game, and especially since everyone touts how "beautiful" it is. The graphics are really jarring. Low res textures, really bad aliasing with jaggies everywhere, washed out colors, poor shadowing, etc... All of these really take away from the experience in this case, since its hard to really appreciate the nature in the game when the graphics make it look almost like a 3DS game. And it's a real pity too, since I really like the art style, but it's very hard to appreciate with how bad everything is, and this is a definite downgrade, as comparing it to the E3 2016 footage, the game didn't look THAT bad. In the same category as well, is the performance, the frame drops can be very noticeable at times, and it's really bad. It can even be a little dizzying/disorienting at times with how bad it can get.

2. Whoever thought the weapon degrade mechanic was good needs to be kicked in the nuts. Only 1 hour in, and I already don't like this. For one, the weapons deteriorate very fast, thus, you're forced to quickpause the game very often during combat. This is NOT a good thing, at all. Look at how Dark Souls, and Bloodborne handle weapon deterioration. It never interferes with the combat, and fights are always fluid as switching weapons can be done on the fly, without needing to pause the game. The Zelda franchise has always had a problem with interrupting gameplay with screen pausing since it went 3D, and BotW is the biggest offender of this thus far. You are forced to constantly interrupt combat in order to change weapons once one breaks. This is especially bad on bulky enemies, who are basically glorified damage sponges. Not only that, but the combat in general feels like a MAJOR step down from the last two entries, TP especially. Since Aonuma cited Dark Souls as a source of inspiration, I really wish he'd taken a page from that series in terms of how to handle combat in Zelda. Tying the stamina meter to your sword swings, and making combat more nuanced than "bash B to make something dead" would have been great. Instead, it honestly feels like the deterioration mechanic was added to give the semblance of difficulty through resource management, rather than actual combat nuance. I mean, whatever happened to all the Sword Swings Link once had? Not only that, but in the same note, the deterioration mechanic places way too much focus on scavanging, and lugging around a lot of weapons, meaning that, if you find something cool, you're forced to again, PAUSE the game, go into your inventory, and drop stuff to make room. This has NEVER been a good thing about OW games especially the Bethesda ones, why did Nintendo copy this without giving proper thought to things? Not only that, but if you find something cool, chances are it'll break and be gone forever very quickly in combat. I don't like this at all. Why not instead ALLOW for scavanging of weapons, YES have the deterioration mechanic, but also allow for the repairing and UPGRADING of weapons. Hell, why not allow to dismantle weapons for resources to upgrade them? This is a MUCH better mechanic, you remove all the clutter in the inventory, you give a reason for scavanging, and you allow players to keep their favorite weapons, and upgrade them as they go along, making them more durable and more powerful.

And I wouldn't even say these are two nitpicks, hell point 2 is really two separate things now that I think about it. Combat, and the dumb deterioration mechanic. I'm baffled that Nintendo, being renouned and experienced devs, WHO ALREADY HAD A WEAPON UPGRADE MECHANIC IN THE LAST ZELDA, didn't have the foresight to see how focusing the weapons entirely on scavanging them, and then throwing them out, and NOT having any way to repair or upgrade them is a bad design choice. Morever, I'm equally confused how they couldn't see that continuously forcing the player to PAUSE COMBAT is bad game design. Period. Especially since games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls already exist, and have pretty much perfected Z-Targeting combat. Why the downgrade in combat? I don't understand.

Anyway, I'm not saying I hate this game, nor that it's a bad game, only 1 hour in, it's WAYYYYY to early to make that call. But still I say this BECAUSE of all the 10/10s and praise this game is getting. With ****ing EVERYONE hyping it up and saying "it lives up to all expectation, flawless game." Yeah, no. One hour in, and I already see three major issues with the game. You mean to tell me that NO ONE was able to notice these things? Has the hype blinded them? Great game or not, these are still flaws, and should be pointed out. Moreover, I know I'm not the only one. I've seen other people make similar complaints on /v/ and the like. Not only that, but from what I've heard, the Hookshot is NOT in this game, and that's gonna be a major peeve for me, as the hookshot is PERFECT for a game that involves so much goddamn climbing. I'm still boggling my head over Nintendo's decision to scrap all the classic items. I'm still not too sure on if that's a good idea or not, as that's what makes Zelda well... Zelda, the items. Every game since the first one relied on this game design element, scrapping it doesn't sound like going back to roots for me, it honestly sounds like turning Zelda into Skyrim, and that's honestly what I'm most afraid of with BotW. We'll see though. Still, no hookshot? The **** man... With all the verticallity this game has... ffs Nintendo, how could you miss this?

Or maybe people don't mind it as much as you do, especially with weapon degradation not being THAT much of an issue with weapons anyway. And Zelda wasn't about the items, but the epic adventure of beating your great quest. Even then, we saw the classic Fire Rod at E3 so they didn't ditch that much then. Also 4chan is a cesspool of hate so saying "These 4chan people hate it" is like saying "The Ku Klux Klan would rather that little Timmy didn't invite the black kid to his birthday"

Aw, that sucks about the hookshot. It was always my favorite Zelda item.

Still definitely plan on getting BotW when I get a Switch sometime this summer.

As expected, the Black Knight wins, because he's the goddamned Black Knight. That's enough Batman jokes for the day.

More Tellius is done with a few special Radiant Dawn characters. This set of characters are Micaiah, Soren, Oliver (@Lord-Zero), and Rolf. The Leguz are still coming and I might do more units because the cast is so damn memorable. Expect a lot of favoritism for this one. Now is your time to shine Troykv Troykv

it honestly sounds like turning Zelda into Skyrim, and that's honestly what I'm most afraid of with BotW.
This coming from the same person who, if I remember correctly, wanted Zelda to take some influence from Skyrim.

The Switch gives suggestions based on your friends connected to your Nintendo account. In this instance, it's Fire Emblem Heroes. I just went through and added the few I saw, it's no biggie if you don't accept.

Anyways, loving the Switch right now. Haven't played it on the TV yet, love just being free with the screen on my hands. Kinda stuck in Zelda at the moment already though lol... But I don't want to see any footage or read anything, even if I move at a snails pace.
