Good luck, I personally start to grind and get rare Blades in the mid chapter 5, that's when I started to stop proceeding the story for now and go getting core crystals, Aux cores, Blade chips, killing unique monsters... etc I'm sort of sounding like a broken record lol. I just like the batle system that I just go and kill as many high level monsters as I could without dying.

Just focus on the Akhos, the battle will end once you deplete half of either dude's HP.

Lyn talk in here? I have to take part.

As much as I like Hector, Lyn just doesn't feel to suit daddy Hector. Lyn has to be in the plains. But I also don't like the other pairings, Kent just seems so boring and does nothing to deserve the love of the best girl in the franchise, and Rath does seem the most normal choice, but I have a personal grudge against him, so I can't support that pairing either.

In my mind, the only pairing that makes sense with Lyndis is with Mark. If you take any kind of dialogue she does outside of FE7, she just can't stop talking about the tactician and just how close both were. She's really charming whenever she talks about the tactician, so my guess is after FE7, wherever Mark disappeared to, Lyn followed him.

Also, on this topic, as much as I'd like a FE4 remake, the game remake that would be mind-blowing to me would be the FE6-7 remake. It would have the best ingredients to please lots of fans.

-They would be remaking the first FE game most of us have played, and also one that wasn't released overseas.
-Lyn, Hector and Roy are three of the most popular character in the franchise, so having them as poster boys would raise the popularity of the game.
-If they really wanted, they could please the new fans by giving Mark the Kris/Robin treatment (I prefer Kris, but that's me) and make it an avatar that can fight.
-We could get child unit's that are not stupidly implemented because FE6 would work as 2nd generation, and would be similar to FE4 in that term.

Honestly, I hope this becomes reality one day. FE7 was my first FE game, and it's my favourite tied with Path of Radiance. If the game ends like Shadows of Valentia in terms of presentation, I would be the happiest man alive.

I'm pretty sure Mark being an actual character is the one thing that alot of people want, considering Mark, the first "Tactician", was the prototype for Robin. Although him being an actual character also means they have to give him backstory. Which to some people runs the risk of making him either Marysue-ish or lackluster.
Considering Robin and Corrin, following Kris, have been related to dragons in some way and they come from the 2 "most popular" games in the series, it feels very easy to just shoe-horn Mark into being related to dragons, especially in the 2 games where dragons are a big deal. Also doesn't help that Blazing Sword first starts with Mark waking up in the care of Lyn, much like how Robin wakes up to Chrom & Lissa, and it allows for amnesia/plot twist shenanigans rather than give Mark a rather simple or decent backstory from the get-go.
There's also the possibility of actually making Mark not so important in regards to the dragons and make him just plain human and the only thing they could do is add him to the conversations alongside Eliwood, Hector and Lyn, rather than have him snag the spotlight from the main three. But then you'll probably get people who will say that IS got lazy with Mark. Regardless, Mark's backstory for when he does become a character is definitely going to be hit-or-miss.

Either way, yeah, there is a lot that a Fire Emblem 6+7 Remake would have for people. You have three of the popular characters, you have an Avatar character, you would have child units, FE7 is one of the first Fire Emblems people played, and there would likely be alot more consistency between the two stories if they do both rather than just one. While sure it would be exciting to get a Binding Blade Echoes, it would feel like a missed opportunity if Blazing Sword isn't a part of it.

And yeah, a Fire Emblem 4 Remake would be pretty cool to see too. Although once again, a missed opportunity if Thracia 766 isn't a part of it.

Exactly, this is why I prefer Kris over Robin or Corrin. He isn't a main character, and is only important in the gaiden chapters that were made only for New Mistery of the Emblem. He has a simple backstory, and he doesn't take center stage in the whole game. I want Mark to be like that, just a normal guy that likes strategy and knows how to defend himself. Mark should never be the main focus, just an add on.

Glad to see someone agree with everything I said! The idea of that remake makes me really excited, hopefully one day it becomes reality (and IS doesn't mess it up somehow).



On Fire Emblem Heroes related, I've been pulling on the new year banner until a 4%, only on greens and colorless. And finally...

I got flyzura! I'm really happy, this makes my flier team so much better. She's -HP +Res, but she's a dancer so I don't really care. If someone does know about it, what is a good build for her? Already gave her Wings of Mercy, so slot A, Special and the refinement of the weapon are free, and I don't really know what to do. She's replacing Hinoka in my flier team, and since I only used her for hone fliers, Azura is a plain upgrade.

Even though I want to keep pulling for Takumi, I think I'll wait until the next banner is released. If it's finally Micaiah and brings a Thani tome effective against armor and horses she could counter every single unit I find in arena. Thankfully they do seem to be giving some orbs for the start of the year, so that's nice.

Also, the voting gaunlet is going on. I went with Ryoma because I want feathers and he's the only unit I had (now I have Azura, but whatever). I hope Takumi wins, or at least Tharja and Camilla don't win (I just don't like them), but if Shanna can win a voting gaunlet, everybody can.

The problem I've been hearing with Kris is that they are apparently even more Marysue-ish compared to Robin and even Micaiah and are treated as pretty much the "Everything" by Marth despite only being a mere soldier. Heck, their Epilogue is apparently Marth wanting to make sure their name goes down in history, but they don't want it and say that Marth should be the focus.

It seems strange that Kris is heavily looked down upon compared to Robin who technically also has player worship, but some people seem to be more nicer to Robin due to:
-Robin and Chrom feeling alot more like BFFs helping each other through their tough times compared to Kris and Marth where they feel it's Marth practically worshipping Kris.
-Chrom being able to pull his own weight around without Robin have to do everything for him.
-Robin having more personality compared to Kris, according to some people.
-More of my opinion rather than something I see, but likely the fact that as said before, Robin is the successor to Mark and him being a "Tactician" makes some people nostalgic and some people hopeful for a playable Mark in the future.

All in all, I guess it will heavily depend on how IS writes Mark. I think the main problem with FE's Avatars tends to be the movement toward player worship, especially with Corrin and Kris for those who do understand JP and played New Mystery whereas with Robin, some people say it's toned down or straightforward enough that it's not very noticeable.
But at the same time, it also depends on how Mark is written. After all, Berkut doesn't serve much purpose besides to be one-upped by Alm, yet alot of people like him due to having a great voice actor and good writing. So as I said before, unless IS takes the story seriously enough, Mark's character and backstory is definitely going to be either hit or miss.

I think it'd be cool if they introduced Mark as a playable unit and actual character, I think having him as a more introverted person could be a good excuse to limit his convos to the main cast.

Also, the best thing about a potential FE6+7 remake would be if they brought the crazy ass battle animations to 3D
