Started Odyssey. it's a good game. Cap dive is the dumbest and best movement thing ever. They put the sombrero too early though. Putting the best hat at the begunning means i feel bad for not using other hats.

Anyway the important stuff. **** 2017. It wasnt as awful as previous years personally, but stressful and awful all the same in part because of current events.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I have little hope for 2018, but Star Wars taught me that even the tiniest spark of hope is enough. Let's all kick this stupid year's ass and make the best us we can!

This year has been rough for me. It's been one of the toughest years of college I've ever had and my body has been suffering from the lack of sleep, lack of exercise, lack of play time and overeating. I have not been able to get out much and I've been facing some major loneliness and depression. Some users close to me know just how badly that has affected me recently. Major thank yous to @Dr. FalКoopa and A Distant Demon and @GoldenYuiitusin

I don't know how much of that will be able to change this year. But I want to improve my attitude at least.

I want to live with the attitude in the quote above. Especially since I'm kind of already a teacher. I have kiddos I need to watch out for. And I want them to grow up big, kind, smart and strong.

If you haven't read the manga "Yotsuba," go read it. It's incredibly heartwarming and down to earth while having one of the most realistic child characters I have seen in fiction.

But I'm not changing my avatar to Yotsuba just because I like the manga.

Yeah, the first part of 2017 had me coming off what I like to call the Semester of Hell where basically I was swamped (no pun intended haha) with really hard, tedious courses and a hectic schedule in addition to me being plagued with anxiety that virtually crippled me in almost everything I did for most of the year. Not to mention a very ****ty prof that I had for one course that I didn't like one bit. I ended up getting horrible marks in the semester and I failed 2 courses that I had to make up for in the year. Overall it was a miserable time and even the months following were horrible until October.

Enough about me anyways. I'm sorry to see all the things you went through in 2017 and I hope you make a rebound in the new year. I know mental problems like anxiety and depression can be really deadly things that people take for granted or underestimate.

Yeah, anxiety really crippled my 2017 where it made me feel like that entire year went by without me noticing. Current events in the world didn't help matters that much lol.

For better or worse 2017 felt like 3 years compressed into one.

The early months were weird, just dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety from Uni. Reconnecting with an old friend for most of it while helping mom recover from a surgery.

Summer was better, just a time for me to wind down and relax. but near the end I got some awful food poisoning that lasted for nearly 3 weeks so that sucked. Then Uni started again and I thought I had things together but Hurricanes Irma and Maria (especially the latter) had other plans. Cue me having no electricity or water for a long while, while school still underwent. Nearly failed both my classes that time if it wasn't for me bull****ting work near the end because the power had come back at the last second.

The last couple of months were more laidback, aside from some big anxiety over one of my grades showing up as an F. But that got fixed and I could just lay back. In terms of school anyway. Me and my family had planned to move in September but thanks to hurricanes and other things, it kept getting pushed back. We would eventually make the move literally a couple days before Christmas in a very rushed manner. But the new house is big and for the first time I got an AC in my room, so I can't complain there.

For me 2018 is to a pretty decent start - I went to see Coco with my sister around lunch-time and I thoroughly enjoyed it, being a wonderful and respectful tribute to Mexican culture. The ending definitely brought a tear to my eye.
@Swampasaur - Yotsuba is a treasure. It's perfect for de-stressing when things get hectic in life.
Also silly me - I somehow ended up going to the first page of the Social Thread and thought we'd get a Pokémon Bank update.

Just came back from a fun reunion with plenty of old friends. Great vibes and happy times! I'm looking forward to 2018!

I also beat Mario Odyssey yesterday, the main story particularly. Overall, it's a really fun game, and definitely one of my favorite video games of 2017. I personally enjoyed Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Echoes more than it (both felt like more satisfying to play from my experience), but it's still a great game I highly recommend buying for the Switch.

I'm currently sitting at 275 stars, and while I'm aware there's a whole lot more stars to collect, I think I'll take a break from the game for the time being. I want to start Xenoblade Chronicles 2 very soon, not to mention I need to start watching some Cowboy Bebop like I promised to. Guess those two things will mark a great start to 2018!

I got her in early part too, she's Nia's second Blade. And don't be too surprised since I probably most of the Blades you have, if you got Blades like KOS MOS, Nim, Kora etc... then you are a lucky one.

I see, meh, Takahashi says which rarest Blades you will get are completely random. That said in the game your idea level also determines too.
Well... You can use the Overdrive Protocol to switch Blades to another driver. That said Overdrive Protocol is rare in the game and I've checked, I think you can get it by completing a four star common Blade affinity chart.

And $&$&, My Nia also get Agate too lol. Even though Agate is a tank Blade, since Nia has a break art on Dromarch, you can then switch to Agate to do topple immediately.
If you have not seen my long boring combat guide... Let me jogged up some tips.
- Not only just pressing arts at the right time can boost your special art faster, switching blades at the right time also helps too.
- once you switch to another Blade, their arts are ready already, and pressing an art right when you Switch is not only an easy timing but also an efficient way to charge up your special art.
- More tip on Dromarch, his special art Lv II can be a great life saver besides Healing Halo. Thanks to Dromarch, dealing with unique monsters which are 5 to 10 levels higher than me isn't impossible.
- Thinking why your Blade seems to be weak? Don't forget to level up your arts with weapon points, and also refine and set Aux cores for your Blades.
