It's not really a matter of the level of darkness so much as how it's applied. For example and without going into too much detail, I love the silent hill series. Physiological things in general like Hitchcock's 'The Birds", Alice Madness Returns, The Stanley Principle, Jakob's Ladder, etc interest me. I'm not exactly a horror fan but can overlook that if it's well done and smart. On the other hand I can't stand overly gory "snuff" media. Things like Outlast and The Evil Within just p*** me off. I'll tell you something, I watched a playthough of this old 1990s PC game Harvester and it genuinely disturbed me. The subtle build up, surreal environment that you slowly realize is exceedingly sick and how it conditions you had far more impact than the triple A, high budget modern gorefests ever could. All this stuff (except the Stanley Principle) is obviously horror so be warned if you look it up.

I also enjoy dark comedies. If you want a great example check out Drowning Mona. Batman TAS isn't a comedy but has surprisingly well thought out psychological aspects.

Psychological media is a dying art, drowning in an ocean of flamboyant, overly CGI dependent, drivel. *sigh*
I also saw that some movie cut off the sound for a few seconds and everyone watching didn't realize it was an artistic choice. I'd say subtlety is kinda dying but I saw a kid's show which had so much emotion and it was just people in spandex staring at each other

What is that show even about? Is it about a hero that wears a blue tick suit?

You mean the Amazon Prime live action series? All I know about Tick is "SPOOOOOOOON" and that it's an Ultraman reference
That is some neat information; huh.
Beautiful exact scoring for my OCD

See you in 2 years
See you in possibly three years. Nice score on your OCD. What channel can I watch One Punch man on?
Correct, along with his partner Arthur in his moth suit

It's on Amazon Prime, hilarious, and well written.
Nice to hear! What other shows do you like? What is your favorite scene?
@ShinyLegendary

Ultraman would hold his Beta Capsule high in the sky, but once he was eating curry so when a monster attacked he held up his spoon dramatically before realizing he wasn't holding the Beta Capsule

Crunchyroll should have it on their website at least, if you don't want to pay for a subscription service you just need to wait a week for every episode

OPM is on Netflix but don't expect the second season to be on Netflix this year considering they didn't get the license for it and it's likely not coming out until Summer at the very least, with Fall being the most safe bet.

Not much, stuff like DuckTales, MythBusters, OK K.O.! Let's Heroes, stuff like that.

Not sure if I have a favorite scene, but the best thing is easily everything that comes out of the Tick's mouth (plus I'm really liking the character Ms. Lint and Overkill).

Might go out and watch the 1994 cartoon too.

"We are playing every TTG episode!" You suee you didnt play them all and are just. ..rerunning now? I can tolerate TTG but this marathon is making me literaly sick to my stomach
CN trying to play it safe but failing again... I mean CN needs to stop the constant TTG airing. Minus will call CN TTG Network.

I'm fighting the Stratum boss and Leath just binded its head.
It's immune to all binds and ailments.
Leath just doesn't ****ing care, he's crushing your head and if you don't like it he'll break the rules of the game to do so.

Do not post links to pirate sites. Only links to officially released content sites are allowed.

The Tick is basically a tongue-in-cheek satire cartoon of Superhero shows. It's very funny but an acquired taste.

I realize the good intentions but you should edit that out, it's still piracy if you use that site

What channel can you watch that airs it? Or is that Japan - exclusive? It said something like "Tokyo" that airs anime.

Dang, I love the second stratum theme, it's also really pretty despite what I expected. I thought this was the 4th Stratum during pre-release so I guess now I have no idea what the 4th and 5th Strata are. I got spoiled on the 6th but I haven't seen it but I sure am hyped for it.
In the tutorial Eirika hits the boss 3 times
Uhm, what? I've never had that happen, and trust me, I had to replay that map a bunch of times.
It isn't scripted like Lyn's Prologue either, considering the boss almost killed Eirika once...

You're not gonna be able to watch it on TV, dude. The sites yoi can watch it are Crunchyroll, Funimation or Netflix afaik.
Or you can go up the high seas like a pirate.

I suppose since it's the end of the year I may as well reflect back on how my year was. (Warning: lots of text below)

For starters, I got into the Final Fantasy series this year. I had decided to play FFXV when I had decided I wanted to get into the series. It was the newest one, so I wanted to play it first. While the game definitely has its flaws, I had quite a lot of fun with the game, and that's what matters most to me. The DLC missions (despite the fact that I haven't played all of them and have only played them recently) have been quite fun as well. As for the second FF I played, I played FFX, and I certainly don't regret it. I personally thought the story was very good and I found the battle system very interesting. So far, I'd say it's my favorite FF game (considering I've only played it, XV, and VII(and haven't even finished that one), I guess that isn't saying much, but I really did love the game.). Now I am currently making my way through FF VII, and I've had a lot of fun with it, but more for the story and characters than for the gameplay itself (not that I dislike it, I'm just more interested in the story and characters).
I don't feel like I've played enough of this series to call myself a fan, but I love the games that I've played and hope to play more of the franchise.

I also finally did something that it had bothered me that I hadn't done: Beat Gen 4 of Pokemon. I've always had fond memories of Diamond and Pearl from when I was younger (even though I had never mad it past Jublife City for quite a while), but I had never beat the game. I also had never played Platinum, so I decided to play Platinum at the start of the year. Now that I've played and beaten it, I would now say that Gen 4 is my 3rd favorite generation of Pokemon.
I also played Gen 1 for the first time, but I have less to say about it.

I also spent a decent portion of the year playing some of the Zelda games I haven't beaten yet. I started playing A Link to the Past in the middle of the year, as well as the Oracle games. I quite enjoyed playing them, and I would probably say that the Oracle games are up their for my favorite 2d Zelda games (not saying much considering I've only played a few of them, but still).

One of the best things that I did this year was get into the Kingdom Hearts series. It feels odd to say that I never got into the franchise earlier, but I'm really glad I did(especially with the changes in the Final Mix versions). I would now say that KH 1&2 are now two of my favorite games of all time. Shockingly enough, I haven't had too much trouble comprehending the story (although I haven't gotten to DDD yet, which I hear is when the story gets really confusing), which I suppose might be because of the Final Mix versions/the order I played them in/reading the Secret Reports.

As for actually new games that I played this year . . .
I played a total of 4 new games this year, as crazy as that sounds. (Not counting stuff like KH 1.5 & 2.5 and Pokken DX due to being rereleases)
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 were the only games that I played this year that came out this year that weren't remasters or ports (I'm counting SoV because it never came to America prior to this year).

So I guess if I had to put them in order of how much I liked them.

1. LoZ: BotW
2. FE Echoes: SoV
3. Splatoon 2
4. ARMS

Although if I had to include games that were from earlier years that I played this year, I guess I would say that KH1, KH2, and FFX would be my top 3 games I played this year, followed by BotW and SoV.

I apologize for the multiple walls of text.

Mindy Cohn isn’t even the original Velma though.
True but with her doing more voice work in recent years, it's just been the one that's stuck in my head.

Plus I've watched way to much of the series and it's iterations haha.

Fair enough like with Grey Delisle for Daphne it’s hard to think of anyone else voicing her.

Hey @Flight, can you help me out with this?

Can you remove the watermark from this and make it transparent, please?
Is that your new profile picture?
Im watching these Japanese Batsu no laughing games. And Man, I love Japanese humor more then american humor
I can agree with this. America is more sensitive than Japan with material, and I do not know what to say that. Humor is very diverse so um.... maybe Japan? I do not know. Good stuff.

After doing some sidequest, I finally got Tora and Poppi.

For now, I like the little guy, Yeah, in battle, his "MEH" can be tiring after awhile. But thanks to him, I defeated some monsters who killed me before. The sweet taste of vengance is just too good to forgot.

As for Poppi, I heard that, upgrading her is a problem due that, you need to play Tiger Tiger alot. And while I could totally understand why peoples would have problems with playing that game over and over again before the update. With the added easy mode, I think that it make Poppi's linear upgrade method more tolerable to do.

Then again, I am just starting this. My opinion could change after awhile. Plus, I don't have a problem with grinding in general. As long as I can make progress, I'm cool with doing the same thing over and over. Soooo, take this post with a grain of salt, and a apple, apples are very good for you.

Yeah, yeah, I know, number 4 is a better tank, etc...

Honestly, I probably still use Tora here and there. Especially if I upgrade Poppi alot. I like using all of my party members.

Also, forgot to say that in my previous post, but my first rare blade was Gorg. He is pretty good so far, and I like his voice and personality.
